Judging Serbia

Out of Shadow

Ahtisaari, the Fascist

In his latest article, Carl Savich reveals the most disturbing facts about the ex-president of Finland Martti Ahtisaari who recently, from the position of a UN Special Envoy for Kosovo negotiations, pointed his finger at Serbs to lay a collective guilt charge upon the entire nation. Serbs around the world could hardly believe anyone would actually resort to Hitler’s “arguments” at this day and age and calmly move on as if nothing really happened.

Serbian government officials stopped short of calling Ahtisaari a fascist, saying his statement is racist. They should now reconsider since, when it comes to this man, it is not his words that are the problem, but his deeds. Contrary to what one would like to think, Ahtisaari’s fascist outburst wasn’t a mere senile blubber, but the result of his long-held, proven political convictions:

Martti Ahtisaari, as President of Finland, sought to honor and commemorate Finnish Nazi SS war criminals, war criminals held guilty by the Nuremberg Tribunal of committing crimes against humanity and of participation in the Final Solution, the genocide of European Jews. This supporter and financier of Nazi war criminals and of genocide is deciding the future status of Kosovo? The irony is unbelievable.

Proud of Finnish Nazi Past

Savich's damning revelation also helps explain why Ahtisaari never apologized to Serbs -- apart from believing it was perfectly alright to revive Hitler’s line of thinking, the man has a super-thick skin which successfully prevented any feelings of shame to seep through few years earlier, when Shimon Samuels of the Simon Wiesenthal Center asked him to use his influence with the government to “desist from this act of historical revisionism,” of glorifying Nazi units associated with war crimes and therefore balancing the Holocaust by equating perpetrators and victims. Ahtisaari’s response? “Officials defend the plan to commemorate the SS men, saying it would be a gesture of remembrance rather than approval.”

Boy, am I thrilled this fascist is assigned to “mediate” between Serbs who fought against fascists and Albanians, Hitler’s loyal allies! It would be hard to find someone better for the job, save for an actual Nazi war criminal, the one who killed with his own hands or ran Auschwitz for a while. No doubt such can still be found among the UN “diplomats” operating today, so we should be careful not to complain too much, or they’ll dig one out for the occasion -- just until Serbs get to take over all the blame, for the First and Second World War, for the concentration camps, the Holocaust and everything Nazis did, until Slobodan Milosevic replaces Hitler entirely and Serbs replace fascists, entering all the textbooks and history as the actual fascists, and until the SS Waffen units turn to be the good guys who deserve to be honored throughout the world as the “fallen soldiers” and heroes who only defended their countries in our countries... from the evil Jews, Serbs and Russians.
