Hague Inquisition About to Take Another Serbian Life

Russian Duma: Hague Tribunal is Killing Dr. Vojislav Seselj
A group of Parliament Members in Russian Duma has accused the Hague Tribunal of “preparing a coldblooded murder” of Dr. Vojislav Seselj. Statement by Genady Zyuganov and Sergei Baburin demands the urgent session of the United Nations Security Council in order to discuss the “tragic situation in the Hague Tribunal:”
“The most famous political prisoner in Europe, Vojislav Seselj, who is rotting in the Hague’s prison for the fourth year, is on the verge of death, because Tribunal is refusing to fulfill his legal request to defend himself. We demand that all of the Seselj’s absolutely just requests be granted without further delay, since they conform to the widely accepted norms of international law.”
Even though the Tribunal’s representatives and its president, Fausto Pocar, keep telling the media they have already fulfilled “many of Seselj’s requests, regarding his family’s visits, the question of translating court documents into Serbian (from English), as well as the question of his legal representatives,” Seselj’s main request and the reason why he started the hunger strike 27 days ago — to remove the court-appointed lawyer and allow Dr. Seselj to defend himself — has not been granted.
“Vojislav will not end his hunger strike unless all of his requests are granted,” said Jadranka, Dr. Seselj’s wife. “Tribunal’s hints that they will, eventually, give him back his right to defend himself are not going to change anything. I hope and believe the court will grant his requests, since he is not asking for anything more than what is his legal prerogative,” said Jadranka Seselj today.
