Young Serbian Man Severely Beaten and Abused by the Albanian Muslim “Police” on Orthodox Christmas
KOSOVSKA MITROVICA, Serbia, Jan. 07, 2007 — Serbian National Council said on Sunday that Srecko Simic, 35, sustained grave bodily injuries in a violent action by the Albanian Muslim Kosovo Police Service (KPS) in Babin Most, near Obilic in Kosovo and Metohija province.
Medical specialists conducted a detailed examination of a young Serbian man at the Kosovska Mtrovica Medical Center and established contusions of the stomach, neck, and lower leg, consequences of the severe beatings and physical abuse, the Serbian National Council said.
Yesterday morning, after police raided Serbian houses and the Simic family house in Babin Most, Vukosava Simic, 64, also had to seek medical assistance at the Kosovska Mitrovica hospital, as she suffered severe trauma during the series of abuses, the Council said.
Today, on Orthodox Christmas, Albanian Muslim KPS members for the third time in three days raided the Simic home in an alleged search for illegal weaponry, and they detained Srecko Simic because they assume he might have witnessed the murder of Albanian Muslim “policeman” Avni Kosumi on the Pristina-Kosovska Mitrovica highway near the village few days ago. Eight family members were in the Simic house at the moment of the Albanian Muslim attack, including two children.
Adolfsen and Ruecker Stoically Silent, as Usual When it Comes to Terror and Abuse of Serbs
“As on the occasion of numerous other cases of acts of terror against Kosovo-Metohija Orthodox Christians, UN special envoy Martti Ahtisaari (i.e. Adolfsen) and UNMIK chief Joachim Ruecker are deafeningly silent and without comment regarding the fascist actions by the Albanian Muslim ‘policemen’ in Babin Most,” the Serbian National Council said in its statement.
