HRH Crown Prince Alexander II Strongly Condemns Attack on Serbian Monastery of Decani

At the time when the greatest Christian holiday Easter is approaching, the Monastery of Decani in the heart of Kosovo and Metohija was attacked.

The widely reported plans for the protection of Serbs and their property are not giving any results. I appeal to all countries that are fighting against terrorism to take these terrorist attacks seriously. The international community must firmly impress upon the authorities in Kosovo that this kind of behaviour is very uncivilised, and that they must prove that they are capable of respecting, not only the Serbs but everyone who is living in Kosovo. Democratic principles and human rights must be fully adhered to and such attacks must not be tolerated.

In Serbia, many ethnic minorities live in equality, and we ask for our people in Kosovo and Metohija to have the same equal status as anyone else living there.

The damage and pain that can be caused by such extremist attacks will not contribute to any future within Europe. I strongly condemn this act of terrorism on one of the most important Serbian Holy places which is a UNESCO World Heritage monument.

In light of this kind of barbaric behaviour, one should seriously consider whether Mr. Ahtisaari’s plan and the guarantees it offers are being taken in context. I demand much more guarantees for safety and protection from the authorities.

UN Contact Group Condemns Terrorist Attack on Decani Monastery

A U.N. statement issued late Saturday confirms that “Peacekeepers and police found a grenade launcher on the hillside overlooking the Decani monastery, and a rocket engine was discovered lodged in the outer wall of the building, after reports of a blast near the 14th-century site Friday.”

“All such violence against the Serb community or the Serbian Orthodox church in Kosovo is absolutely impermissible and intolerable,” the Contact Group on Kosovo said. The group is comprised of the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Russia.

“The full security of the Serb community in Kosovo is of the utmost importance, and any incidents of violence must be addressed promptly and resolutely by Kosovo authorities and the international community,” the United Nations Contact Group said in a statement.

You know, every time I read what Albanians are dong/have done, but most importantly, how West allowed them to, I cannot help but think of Hitler.

Every word that ever came out of the mouth of Clinton, Blair and Cook, has been, not only a lie but plain bigotry against Serbs.
They share equal responsibility for murder, torture and ethnic cleansing of Serbs, Roma and Jews from Kosovo and destruction of their homes and monasteries.

Nine years ago, these same people, have equated Milosevic with Hitler, and Serbs with Nazis. Isn't it Irnoic, that they were the ones who initially replayed Hitler's actions, used Hitler's words and committed Hitler like crimes, in Kosovo?

Hitler said :

"The wave of appalling terrorism against the [minority] inhabitants of Poland, and the atrocities that have been taking place in that country are terrible for the victims, but intolerable for a Great Power which has been expected to remain a passive onlooker. We will not continue to tolerate the persecution of the minority, the killing of many, and their forcible removal under the most cruel conditions."

(Hitler, August 23, 1939, from letters sent to the UK and French governments, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives Monitor, April 2003;)

Sound familiar? Of course it does.

Mila, straight for the guttural, as always :-))

I too find the brazenness with which Serbs are being blamed for the misdeeds of everybody around them entirely stupefying. You're quite right - Goebbels would've been proud.
