Young Serbian Couple Assaulted and Robbed in Gracanica

Tanjug reports that unknown assailants have kidnapped and beaten up Srecko Djurovic and his girlfriend Irena Keselj around 10pm on Monday in Gracanica, Serbian Kosovo-Metohija province.

A group of armed thugs driving an Opel Vectra has cut off young Serbian couple, pulled them out of their car and took their car keys, jewelry and cellphones. They beat Srecko over the head with pistol butts until he lost consciousness, shoved him into the trunk and then raped his girlfriend at the backseat. Afterwards, they dumped them near the bar Oda in the suburbs of Pristina.

“From there, we managed to reach Serbian Simonida hospital in Gracanica, where we were given the medical help,” said Djurovic. Director of the Clinical Center Simonida Stojan Sekulic informed the police about the assault, confirming for the press that two severely traumatized young Serbs came to seek medical help around 2 am and were hospitalized.

Thanks to the Efficient UNMIK Police...

This is second such assault in Gracanica in five months. Previously, another young Serbian couple was kidnapped and assaulted in the exact same way, but since neither the UNMIK nor Albanian police, or any of those 16,000 NATO tourists stationed in Kosovo-Metohija seems to be interested or capable of finding and arresting the criminals, Gracanica Serbs should probably brace up for more of the similar swinishness.

Or stay locked in and walled off until Serbian police takes over and does the job properly.

This is directly the result of the escape of 7 prisoners from a high-security prison at Kosmet a few days ago. They obviously know they can do any crime without punishment.

Svetlana thank you very much for your blog and for such efficaciousness. It's precious to have you here.

Thank you, dear Žana, for your support!

The latest escape of the worst kind of thugs (one of whom is nicknamed Commander Nazi!) from Albanian-held prison, where the "guards" were treating them as heroes and helped them escape is certainly yet another green light for all the swines over there to just keep doing their worst in the Serb-populated areas - they might even get a celebrity status among their countrymen and their hero-pictures pasted on a Pristina marquee.

Hi Svetlana,

When i read this on rts.co.yu i posted the story to an austrian online-newspaper. but they censored it. it seems that this newspaper is informing the austrian people onesided. f.e. they have made an interview with albin kurti and this interviw can still be read. but when something happens to serbs, like this incident the article disapears after a couple of hours or it is never published. today they published a pr-article from george soros international-crisis-group.

they have rules for commenting the articles (like no offense words, ...). lots of my posts are not published. on the other side lots of albanian posts are published even if they use very offense language against serbian users.

maybe you have some ideas what can be done to make the situation better and to preasure them to do their job to inform the readers in a more objective way.

thanx in advance and sorry for my bad english,
aleksandar m

I wish I knew, Aleksandar!

This is usually hidden under various politically correct excuses, but it inevitably boils down to pure censorship, plain and simple. I haven't managed to have a single news comment published on Soros' B92 - ever! - in English or Serbian, even though they're always written in the squeaky-clean language. But Soros' Belgrade outpost, just like any other, is simply allergic to the essence of what I'm saying, so they censor it out without blinking an eye. At the same time, shiptars and Serb-hating Croats have a free reign over there - it's their space, their cyber-coven, where they go for a daily Serb-bashing fest.

There's no way around it, I'm afraid, except for alternative media and more independent web sites and blogs where the other side can have its say. B92 and BBlog or SerbBlog or GrayFalcon etc. can only exist in parallel universes, so perhaps you should consider running your own site or blog, in German. That's where you could also raise the issue of (heavy) anti-Serbian bias of German mainstream media.

p.s. Your English is far better than my German, not to worry :-))

Maybe it is time for Srbs in Kosovo to start returning the abuses back on Albanians and occasional KFOR soldier.

budimir,

I disagree! I think the Serbs should enguage NATO troops and kick them out and watch the KLA quiver once again without their masters helping them out this time.

If your wondering how the Serbs can defeat NATO in Kosovo? It's quite simple, it's called the Russian nuclear fleet!

It's time to up the stakes and put the U.S./E.U. and NATO aggression to sleep around the world.
