Serbia Prepares for War as Talks are Nearing the Western-Imposed Deadline
Serbian Defense Ministry has worked out plans for action in the event of a presumed threat, Tanjug was told at that Ministry on the occasion of a Serbian government announcement that all ministries will prepare plans for helping the Serb population in Kosovo and Metohija province in the event of the unilateral proclamation of the independence of that province.
"Different scenarios were considered, and a reaction is possible in the event of any attempts at violating security or on the grounds of a political decision made by the Serbian government or the head of state," the sources at the Serbian Defense Ministry told Tanjug.
The force deployment and unequivocal messages have already preventively made it clear to everyone that Serbia is ready to react in a serious manner should the need arise to do so, the Ministry sources said.
Mobilization and Bringing Up the Army Readiness to Combat Level
Serbian Army (Vojska Srbije, VS) last week sent out a call for recruiting more than 700 professional soldiers on contract for different posts in the garrisons in Vranje, Leskovac and Bujanovac (the region surrounding southern Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohija). The Army overall readiness was brought up to a combat level.
It was agreed at yesterday's Serbian government session that all ministries should make action plans in the event of the unilateral proclamation of that province, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic said after the session.
Ljajic told a press conference it was agreed that the action plans would be sent in by the next government session.

This is encouraging news. There will have to be an unwavering and decisive step made to prevent the illegal attempt at land snatching and endangering the remaining Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija. This is time of reckoning and only firm stance will do.

Hopefully there won't be war, but the Islamaniacs will push that envelope as always. Especially when they can count on misguided fools in the West to back them.
This bunch must be a twin of the palestinians-always demanding more and more, always trying to carve up an existing nation like a Thanksgiving turkey and always having the support of the media despite their bloody actions and bad intentions. Disgusting isn't even a suitable word for all this.

I have been waiting to hear this for a long time.The VS should have been brought up to combat level
a long time ago as anyone that followed NATO's operation Midas has seen NATO damn sure is preparing.
I pray every night that there will not be more war and misery for Srbija but enough is enough Kosovo is an issue on which there is no more room to budge.We have made offer after offer and the Albanians shot down every one of them they have no motivation to negotiate.Srbija MUST protect her people in Kosovo since NATO and the UN refuses to.Also I really hope Russias firm stance holds up and if need be they position missiles around the country that would be a big F you to NATO.
