Serbia Says No to EU

Serbia Overwhelmingly Against EU Integration and Mission

Serbian news agency Tanjug today published the findings of the independent Politkum Agency which conducted a poll in early February, revealing that, prior to the unilateral declaration by Pristina separatists, 74 percent of Serbs voted against EU integration if the province of Kosovo-Metohia is the price.

At the start of February, 74 percent of Serbia's citizens said that the country should not accept its integration in the European Union if it is conditioned with recognition of Kosovo-Metohia's independence, the Politikum Agency stated based on its opinion poll.

According to the results of the poll titled "Kosovo and strategic foreign policy integrations," 48 percent of Serbian citizens believe that the EU mission in Kosovo-Metohia province should not be accepted under any conditions, while 42 percent said it could be accepted with the approval of the UN Security Council.

In the view of political analysts, the number of people in Serbia opposing the EU integrations and the illegal EU mission to the Serbian province could have only grown after the unilateral declaration by the extremist wing of Albanian secessionists in Pristina on February 17, subsequently approved by most of the Western EU member-states and Washington.

Serbian Premier: To EU Only With Kosovo Province as Integral Part

The stand of the greatest majority of Serbs is faithfully echoed by the Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, who repeated late on Wednesday that Serbia could join the European Union only with Kosovo and Metohia as its integral part.

“Our position is that Serbia's territorial integrity is more than important,” Prime Minister said in an interview with Russia's English-language TV Russia Today when asked if it was true that Serbia, bearing in mind its insisting on territorial integrity and the position of most of the EU member states on Kosovo, was not going to join the EU.

Kostunica said that there were two obstacles in the negotiations with Brussels.

“The first is - what is Serbia? For us, Serbia includes Kosovo, and this is in accordance with our Constitution,” Kostunica said.

“We have one more problem with the EU — the civil mission that is supposed to be sent to Kosovo, which also jeopardizes Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, because many EU member-states have already recognized independent Kosovo,” the Serbian prime minister said, adding that for him that was the principal thing.

Asked if there were chances that Serbia tried to keep at least the northern part of Kosovo inhabited by Serbs, the prime minister answered that by thinking of only one part of Kosovo-Metohia, of any division of the province, Serbia would no longer be acting in accordance of what had from the very start been the basis of its approach.

“Any kind of the province's division is contrary to Serbia's territorial integrity,” Kostunica stressed.

Entry into EU Without Kosovo Province — An Act of High Treason

Serbian Orthodox Church views the issue in even more stark terms.

Bishop of Raska and Prizren Diocese, His Grace Artemije told Serbian authorities on Friday that Serbia's entry into the European Union without Kosovo and Metohija would be an act of high treason and of annulling the entire Serbian history.

Student protests in Belgrade

Appealing to Serbs in the country and in the Diaspora to point to the injustice and violence against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohia province, the bishop called on his countrymen to stop "falling into the arms of those who are tearing our heart out."

"Let us say firmly to the European Union that we do not wish to join it while it is robbing us of our Kosovo. Only an intact Serbia with Kosovo and Metohija within its breast can join the European Union. This is also the message we send to our government. Joining the European Union is an act of high treason against Serbia and the negation of our entire history."

Bishop Artemije: Call to Serbian People to Swear the New Kosovo Oath

“Raise your voices in the countries where you live, not only at protest meetings, demonstrating in the streets, but wherever you are, everywhere and in every place. Speak about injustice and crimes, about the devastation and the destruction of our churches and monasteries in Kosovo and Metohija, about evictions, assassinations, harassment, rapes and brigandage which the Albanians are perpetrating against the disenfranchised Serbian people before the eyes of the entire world. The world pretends not to see. Instead of meeting appropriate punishment to the perpetrators of numerous crimes, the world rushes to reward them. It rushes to reward them by recognizing the illegally proclaimed independence of Kosovo. What shame and disgrace! What moral depravation!," the Serbian bishop appealed in a letter published by the Serbian Orthodox Church information service.

“It is our sacred duty to invite you and the entire Serbian people to swear the new Kosovo oath. With the help of the Holy Prince Lazar we must follow his example and the examples of countless Christ-loving Serbian saints and our honorable ancestors who chose always the Kingdom of Heaven. Our struggle is in the first place a spiritual struggle. So let us be steadfast in our choice. United and with the help of Christ, God made man, His Most Pure Mother the Theotokos, Saint John the Baptist and all the Saints we shall win because KOSOVO IS SERBIA.”

Serbian Government to Assist Priesthood in Kosovo-Metohia

On the same day, Raska-Prizren Bishopric and Serbian government signed in Gracanica an agreement on the regular monthly assistance to the priests and monks of Kosovo-Metohija, the Serbian Orthodox Church said in a statement.

Kosovo Serb student protests, Friday, Feb. 29

"The church should play the most important role in the return of the expelled to Kosovo-Metohija," Serbian Minister of Religious Communities Radomir Naumov said after a meeting with priests in Gracanica.

Bishop Artemije said that little had been done so far on the restoration of destroyed Serbian Orthodox monasteries in Kosovo-Metohia and that a memorandum on the reconstruction of churches and monasteries, many of which had been destroyed by the Kosovo Albanian terrorists in the March 2004 violence, had been put out of effect after the unilateral declaration of independence by Pristina separatists.

He said that new negotiations with the international community were to be held, but that the state of Serbia and Serbian Orthodox Church should head the restoration of destroyed facilities.

Naumov said that the Serbian government had envisaged a separate item in its budget for the assistance to priests and monks in Kosovo-Metohija, pension and disability insurance and construction of religious facilities.

Serbia has formed a legal team which should determine the basis for suing the countries that have issued an illegal recognition of the unilateral independence of southern Serbian province and filing claims for damages for the destruction of Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries in Serbia's province since 1999, Naumov said.

Kosovo Serb Policemen Stage Protest in Strpce

While Kosovo Serb students have been protesting against the illegal proclamation by Pristina separatists for 12th day, along with their colleagues throughout Serbia, more protests were staged by the Kosovo Serb policemen, judges, prosecutors and judicial staff in the province.

Serbian policemen in the municipality of Strpce decided on Friday to join Kosovo Serb policemen from other Serbian enclaves in the province and refuse to obey the orders of the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) headquarters in Pristina. Referring to UN Security Council Resolution 1244, they demand to cooperate only with the UNMIK police.

The commander of the police station in Strpce is in Urosevac, where he will present the decision of the Serb policemen to the KPS regional headquarters.

Unlike their fellow officers in other parts of Kosovo-Metohia province, the KPS Serb members in Strpce have not left the police building, where they are waiting for an UNMIK police official to address them.

Around 500 Serb policemen, members of the UNMIK-formed Kosovo Police Service, are protesting in southern Serbian province at the moment.

Serb Police Officers in Central Part of Kosovo Province Cut Ties with KPS

The Serb members of the KPS in the police stations in central part of Kosovo-Metohia province decided at 9 a.m. on Friday to refuse to follow the orders of the KPS Main Headquarters in Pristina, in protest against the unilateral proclamation by Pristina separatists.

A total of 126 policemen in uniform and 23 more in civil uniform, who came from Kosovop Polje, Obilic, Lipljan and other towns of central Kosovo, gathered outside the police station in Gracanica.

As Tanjug learned, the meeting between a delegation of the policemen and the UNMIK police commander on Friday ended without an agreement.

The main demand of the Serb police officers is that they will not work as members of the police of the so-called independent state of Kosovo, but to continue their engagement in the police only under the command of the UNMIK police.

Stojan Denic, a Police Captain from the region of town of Gnjilane, told KIM Radio that he and his colleagues were united and that they would not be reporting to work until their demands were met.

“We demand UNMIK accord us the same work conditions in the KPS as we had when we were first employed, otherwise we will form police sub-stations in Serb communities, where we will work independently,” Denic said.

No incidents have been registered in or around Gracanica, and there are no traffic problems on the road leading from Pristina to Gnjilane, which runs through Gracanica, the biggest Serb village in Kosovo.

Kosovo Serb Justice Staff Protests for Ninth Day

Serb justice employees in Kosovo-Metohia have requested from UNMIK representatives in the southern Serbian province to be allowed to return to work, under the provisions of the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

“We don’t want animosity, but our patience is running out,” judicial staff said in front of the court gates in Kosovska Mitrovica, where they have been protesting for nine days.

As KFOR troops gather in ever greater numbers in front of the gates, armed with vehicles and riot gear, so too do the number of protestors from northern Kosovo.

They are there to lend their support to the judges, prosecutors and the staff employed in judicial institutions who were dismissed in August 1999, when NATO and UNMIK took over the security, administration and the judicial institutions in the Serbian province, replacing Serbian prosecutors and judges with the Albanian ones, regardless of their lack of training and experience in judicial work.

Religion Minister Radomir Naumov gave his backing to the demonstrators, stressing that Serbia would never recognize an amputated province of Kosovo and Metohia and that Serbian policy regarding the province was united.

Leposavic District Court President Bojana Trboljevac gave support to her colleagues, as did Milutin Milosavljevic and Slavica Janjicevic on behalf of Kosovska Mitrovica's judges.

Kosovo Serb judicial officials' protest will continue Monday, at 07:30 CET.

Explosion in Mitrovica Damages UNMIK Vehicles

A day before, around 7.45 pm Thursday an explosive device went off in the northern sector of Kosovska Mitrovica, between a police station and district and municipal court building.

Reportedly, no one was injured in the blast, which damaged several UNMIK vehicles.

No Transfer of Jurisdiction from UN to EU

UN Confirms: No Transfer of Jurisdiction to EU

According to Tanjug, UNMIK will continue its mission in southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohia until UN Security Council decides otherwise, it was confirmed in New York.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman Brendan Varma spoke to the BBC tonight to deny the would-be EU mission representative Pieter Feith's claim that “the transfer of jurisdiction from UNMIK to EULEX has begun.”

"At this point the UN mission has not entered any transition period. We are still on the ground, as we have been since 1999. UNMIK will perform the duties entrusted to it with Resolution 1244, until UN Security Council decided otherwise," Varma specified.

Both Russia and Serbia are opposed to the illegal EU mission (EULEX), which the Union insists on deploying without the UN Security Council or Serbia's approval.

Only UN SC Can Decide to End Its Mission

Varma also reminded that only the UN Security Council can make a decision to end UNMIK's mandate in the province.

"We would of course welcome agreement on this problem, but the Council is at the moment deeply divided. The secretary-general's position is that our mission will continue in Kosovo until the Council tells them to stop," he said, and added UNMIK was a "unique mission precisely because its mandate has no determined deadline".

Painting in protest
Since Feb. 17, Kosovo Serb students have created an event out of each day of protests: yesterday, they held a mock-football game between the Serbs and Western states, the day before a rock concert, the day before that a drama, earlier they made a "Pandora's box" they handed to the UN policemen... today they painted in protest. Feb. 28, Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbia

"The Security Council decides on the end of this mission – in other words, we will have to wait for its signal," Varma repeated.

As for Joachim Ruecker, UNMIK's chief in Kosovo-Metohia province, he has been told to continue with his job and do everything to ensure stability in the province, according to Ban's spokesman.

Russia will preside over the UN Security Council in March, and it will put together the agenda, it has been confirmed. Whether and in what format the crisis surrounding Serbian province will be discussed, is up to Moscow.

Varma also denied that Ban had sent a letter to Brussels to officially inform the EU about the division in the Security Council concerning the legality of EULEX.

At the same time, the BBC quotes its sources on the East River who said the EU is "persistently asking the secretary-general to personally approve UNMIK's replacement with EULEX".

Azerbaijan Withdraws Troops from Kosovo Province

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has requested the parliament to vote on withdrawal of the country's troops from Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohia, Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov stated on Thursday.

According to Tanjug, Azerbaijan Parliament is expected to vote on the issue on March 4 and to back the president's proposal.

Azimov said that the recent unilateral declaration of independence by Pristina separatists had "drastically altered the political scene", which Azerbaijan does not wish to be a part of. Azerbaijan is among the countries vehemently opposed to the imposed dismemberment of Serbia.

Kosovo Serb Officers Quit Province's Police Force

According to RTS, some 200 of the province force's Serbs have either quit or not shown up for work since the Feb. 17 unilateral declaration by Pristina separatists. Dozens of others have announced to follow suit.

The Kosovo-Metohia police service was formed by the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and has, up until mid-February, been touted as "the only institution in which real cooperation existed between Serbs and Albanians" in the southern Serbian province.

However, since the unilateral declaration of independence by Pristina separatists on Feb. 17, Serb policemen have requested to be transferred under the direct command of UNMIK, instead of that of the "Kosovo police", because of their disagreement with the arrival of the illegal EU mission and the implicit violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

"Unique" Kosovo Starts a Domino Effect

Costa Rica Recognizes "State of Palestine"

According to the AP, Israeli diplomat has postponed a planned meeting with Costa Rican officials over the Central American nation's decision to formally recognize a Palestinian state.

"We would like to express our disappointment over this regretful decision of the government of Costa Rica to establish full diplomatic relations with the 'state of Palestine,'" Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel said. "This act of Costa Rica totally contradicts the traditional friendship that characterized its relations with Israel since its establishment."

Earlier, the P.A.’s U.N. mission chief Riyad Mansour said Palestinians are "trying to expand their network of relationships” after it became clear that Washington is encouraging unilateral secessions along the ethnic lines:

“There is no doubt that the new U.S. stance has had a role in the decision of the countries who take their cues from Washington to be encouraged to take new steps,” Mansour said.

That Costa Rica has clearly taken a page from the US State Department's book about imposed dismemberment of states as a means of weakening and prying them open, while sucking up to jihadists across the globe, was confirmed by Costa Rica’s foreign minister Bruno Stagno, who explained in a statement that decision to establish diplomatic relations with the "State of Palestine", “deepens our gradual normalization of diplomatic relations with the Arab and Islamic world, as part of a foreign policy of opening borders, geographically and mentally, which reinforces an intelligent insertion of Costa Rica in the world.”

No, severing Serbian Kosovo province is not setting a precedent and yes, it is quite unique.

Bosnian Serbs: Kosovo is Serbia!

Western MSM Keeps Bending Reality to Suit Official Agenda

CNN was the only official media outlet in the West that has properly reported that around 100,000 people gathered Tuesday in Banja Luka, capital of Serbian Republic (RS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, at another rally in protest against the unilaterally declared independence of Pristina separatists.

The figure of "more than 10,000" protesters in Banja Luka, cited by other Western news agencies (AP, AFP, Reuters, BBC, DPA et al.), could mean even the 100,000, because 100,000 is indeed "more than 10,000", but one would still expect that they wouldn't sink so low as to cut the number of protesters down to a mere 10 percent, or less, of the actual number of demonstrators.

The exact same thing occurred less than a week ago, when a huge rally organized in Serbian capital saw Belgrade being flooded by demonstrators from all over Serbia, as well as from Montenegro and Republic of Srpska. The first reports on CNN stated that over 2,000,000 people poured into Belgrade, blocking entire downtown and branching off onto the surrounding bridges, simply because the plateau in front of the National Parliament and St. Sava Cathedral was too small to accommodate so many people.

Then BBC World reporter told his TV station half a million people took part in Kosovo is Serbia protest and the common prayer afterwards, which the AP, Reuters and all the others quickly cut down to 150,000. From thereon that became an official figure faithfully repeated everywhere. Because, who can know that it was ten, maybe 20 times more people than that?

Those who flatly lied throughout the civil wars in the former Yugoslavia, multiplying the number of non-Serbian victims by 50, 100 and 200 (remember the alleged 100,000 and 500,000 "massacred Albanians" in Kosovo province during NATO aggression on Serbia?), should not be expected to start telling other inconvenient truths at any point in time. Not that CNN is any better, but slips like this simply reveal the duplicity and manipulations Western MSM constantly uses to warp and distort every issue, imperceptibly bending reality to suit the official agenda.

Kosovo is Serbia, and So is the Republic of Srpska

As the Serbian students in Kosovo-Metohia province enter the 10th day of continued protests against illegal declaration by Pristina separatists, the support for their struggle is growing around the world and especially in the region.

Yesterday's protest of Bosnian Serbs was another massive rally sending a loud and clear message into the world that Kosovo is Serbia and will remain Serbia forever.

Carrying Serbian flags, Kosovo is Serbia banners along with signs reading “We want independence of Republika Srpska”, the demonstrators chanted "Kosovo is Serbia" and "We will not give the Serbian soul to the devil."

Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Milorad Dodik also appeared at the protest organized by the Serb Movement of Non-governmental Associations (SPONA). He said the gathering was "a democratic, human revolt" and that Bosnian Serbs will never accept amputation of Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohia.

Referring to the recent assessment by the Bosnian Serb Parliament that recognition of the unilateral independence by the US and Western powers sets a new international precedent which enables unilateral secession of Republic of Srpska from Bosnian federation, Dodik said:

"We only have a little patience left and this will not last for very long."

Disturbances erupted at the end of the peaceful rally as several hundred of young people tried to reach the US consulate. The building had already been evacuated and closed after the previous week's attack at earlier rally in Banja Luka.

Army reservists
Serbian army reservists hold protests against the attempts to create a mafia state in Serbia on the administrative line between Kosovo province and central Serbia.

As police cordons prevented them from reaching the US consulate building, protesters – mainly high school students – pelted the police with stones and water bottles. Police responded by firing tear gas to disperse them. Six people were lightly injured, including four policemen, and 20 people were arrested after the protesters broke away from a rally. According to the reports from Republic of Srpska, fifteen of the arrestees are minors.

Bosnian Serb National Assembly last week adopted a resolution that said that severing of southern Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohia is unacceptable, and that Republic of Srpska itself has a right to hold a referendum on independence.

Serbian Army Reservists Clash With Albanian Terrorists-Turned-Policemen

A day before, Tanjug reported that 19 Kosovo Albanian terrorists-turned-policemen (from KLA to KPS, by the virtue of US State Department edict) had been injured in a clash with Serbian army reservists who were holding a protest at the Mutivode administrative line crossing, between central Serbia and its southern province of Kosovo, on Monday.

According to the reservists' representative Dejan Milosevic, several hundred reservists from central and eastern Serbia protested against the unilateral declaration by Pristina separatists. The clash followed when, after a verbal exchange, one of the Albanian KPS members charged at Serbs and tried to grab the Serbian flag from one protester.

The clash between the unarmed reservists and Albanian KPS lasted between 3.50 and 5.15 p.m. Two Serbian reservists sustained light injuries in the incident. They dispersed after KFOR fired tear gas.

One Spark Away from Another Balkan War

Contrary to the attempts of US, UK and other Western politicians to present their governments' unlawful recognition of the mafia state on Serbian territory as a "way forward" and the move that will "bring stability and peace" to the region, we are witnessing the very opposite taking place. The region is becoming more unstable with each passing day, with dangerous sparks flying all over the place, so it is just a matter of one wrong turn and a single additional drop of oil to have Balkans burst into flames once again.

Advisor to the Serbian prime minister Branislav Ristivojevic assessed late on Sunday that “America will today or tomorrow understand that Serbia's opposition would last until the United States annuls its recognition of the sham state of Kosovo.”

“The United States made a completely wrong assessment that Serbia's opposition would last only one day, that it would be expressed through minor resentment and that everything would be all right after that,” Ristivojevic told Tanjug.

He said that “due to its completely wrong assessment of the situation in the Balkans, the United States brought about a crisis by recognizing a sham state in the territory of Serbia” and added that the region can now be stabilized by “the United States annulment of the illegal decision on the recognition of the sham state of Kosovo.”

The Real Resistance Ushers in the Real Revolution

It is interesting to note how Western MSM and Soros-outposts in Serbia, such as B92, "Danas", "Vreme" etc, though they believe they are helping by tooting the same State Department horn, are actually doing a terrible disservice to the Western governments they wish to serve, deceiving them with unfounded daily assurances that the riots, clashes and outbursts of violence are no big deal, no more than "Serbs venting their anger", and expected to pass any day now. Nothing could be further from the truth: the situation is extremely serious and Balkan is on the verge of another war.

Kosovo Serb students
Brave new Serbia: Kosovo Serb students, waving flags of the righteous states which are refusing to accept imposed dismemberment of Serbia, enter the 10th day of protests. Feb. 27, 2008, Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbia

If one reads the Soros-employee's claptrap, one gets a completely false and distorted picture: that Serbs (still!) want to join the EU, that they want to "leave the past behind" and "move forward" into the bright and sunny Prozac future in European Utopia, that they just want peace, health and wealth, "like all the normal people", so it's all good, don't worry, everything's cool here... The problem is that such misleading signals are being sent from a virtual handful of moral lepers, marginal amateurish inept politicians nobody ever votes for and quasi-reporters and quasi-analysts despised by the greatest majority of Serbs everywhere, who are paid to castrate and spread misinformation among their own people. At the same time, most Serbs are not buying any of it and have entirely different views and perceptions one can't even glean from B92 (which censors out every dissenting view, including the critical comments).

The problem is that West has been operating on wishful thinking for far too long and simply dislikes facing the less-than-pleasant realities, so it prefers to listen to the echo of its own wet dreams, rather than learn the truth. Simply put, Western power centers are constantly falling into the trap of buying their own lies.

The problem is that the most vigorous protesters and the most numerous ones throughout Serbia, in Bosnia, Montenegro and around the world are not late President Milosevic's generation, but youth and students who have been born after the Dayton Agreement was signed and many even after the Kumanovo Agreement—this is clearly not the old and depressed, but the very young, vibrant, spirited new Serbia which refuses to trade Kosovo-Metohia for Western visas, and will not lay down its arms for the sake of couple excursions to Brussels and London. Unlike the previous, tired and defeated "transition generation" which, to some extent, allowed itself to be persuaded it's better to give in and go along, this brave new Serbia has rejected the counterfeit "history" and empty promises, for the sake of truth, justice and its right to national pride, inheritance and heritage.

The problem is that the old "Otpor" was a CIA-funded sham and an asthmatic imitation of a "revolutionary" with a very short breath that allowed it to play in just one episode, and it is right now faced with the actual, rock solid and real Resistance. The problem is that B92 and the fake "Otpor" have grown too old, too fat and flabby, and they are currently being bulldozed over by the real deal. While no one was looking, and away from the media lenses, Serbia has risen.

More Than the Heart and Soul of Serbia

Pec Patriarchate
Serbian Orthodox Church is the legal owner of 5,300 hectares of land in Kosovo province. The word Metohia, an integral part of the name of southern Serbian province, is derived from the Greek word "metoch", denoting the land owned by the Church. Restitution of Serbian Orthodox Church Property in Kosovo-Metohia Province

Raska and Prizren Diocese (encompassing Raska region and the province of Kosovo and Metohia) of the Serbian Orthodox Church will soon receive a decision stating the return of 5,300 hectares of land that was seized from this diocese alone, during the agrarian reform and nationalization process in 1945 by the Yugoslav communist dictatorship, the Serbian government Directorate for Property Restitution Director Vlaidmir Todorovic has said in a statement for Tanjug.

Raska and Prizren Diocese should submit a request to the authorized local organs with the real estate registry offices that are located in all municipalities in Kosovo and Metohia province, so that the ownership could be recorded, the director explained.

Stressing that the deadline for submission of requests for restitution of seized property is Sept 30, 2008, Todorovic said 12 churches and monasteries from Kosovo and Metohia province have submitted requests so far, and that the biggest area of around 3,000 hectares belongs to Monastery of Devic.

Seat of Serbian Orthodox Church, Pec Patriarchate, which is also in southern Serbian province, is the next on this list, seeking restitution of 846 hectares, then the Monastery of Visoki Decani with 728 hectares, Draganac with 207 hectares, Gracanica with 100 hectares, The Holy Trinity near Musutiste with eight hectares, The Saints Cosmas and Damian near Zociste with five hectares, as well as the Church Municipality of Prizren which was stripped of 300 hectares of land in its property at that time, the official said.

Serbian Property in Kosovo Province Estimated at $400 Billion

Few days earlier, Serbia's Trade and Services Minister Predrag Bubalo confirmed that the value of property owned by Serbia and Serbs in Kosovo and Metohia is at around 400 billion USD.

Serbia has the deeds to 58.79 percent of the land in the territory of Kosovo and Metohia — state and social, private, and the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which comprises 641,071 hectares of the total of 1,090,410 hectares of land in that southern province.

This is data from the files of the land ownership register for a total of the 1,299 land-registry municipalities in Kosovo and Metohia, and every foot of the southern province is covered by the land registry books, the Belgrade daily Vecernje novosti reported last year.

For security reasons, the bulk of the documents were taken from Kosovo-Metohia to Serbia proper in 1999. On the grounds of these land registry books, the Coordinating Center made a digital land registry plan, so that Serbia now has an electronic database for details on all land owners in Kosovo and Metohia.

“It is fortunate that we were able to bring out the documents,” Slavica Radomirovic told the daily. Radomirovic is in charge of the Land Register with the Serbian Ministry for Kosovo and Metohia, and she was Kosovo-Metohia Land Register Director before the war.

“The first thing that UNMIK asked of us was that the original documents should be returned. Naturally, we refused. As long as we have the originals, Serbia has the proof of what belongs to it. All the copies of the plans and the land register data remained in the computers at the land registry services, so that UNMIK has access to all the data,” she said. Nevertheless, Radomanovic pointed out, any changes can be recorded only in the original documents.

The Way Forward Leads Through Pristina

So, now you know why Serbs laughed their heads off when Condoleezza Rice made a pathetic attempt to persuade them to “drop centuries of grievance and sentimentality in the Balkans and move forward”, meaning, of course, move away from both 1,700 years of their history and property which, in land ownership, covers over 58% of Kosovo-Metohia land. Understandably, Condoleezza prefers not to know that the only way “forward” for Serbs leads straight through Pristina.

Lawsuits Against Countries that Recognize Albanian Mafia State in Serbia

Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister Branislav Ristivojevic said late today that Serbia will file lawsuits at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the US and all other countries that issued unlawful recognition to the fictitious mafia state in Kosovo and Metohija province.

Ristivojevic told the Beta news agency that since this outgoing US administration recognized the terrorist KLA state on Serbian territory, Serbia's lawsuit will follow swiftly.

He said that it would be best if the outgoing administration revoked its criminal decision, or if the new American administration did that immediately.

Russian officials
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was also a member of the delegation of highest Russian officials who visited Serbian capital on Monday, Feb. 25. He stressed Russia's support for the restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

The Serbian Prime Minister's advisor said that Serbia will withdraw charges against the US should they revoke that illegal decision.

“If the US does not annul their illegal decision we will take them before every international court,” Ristivojevic said.

Commenting the statement of US Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns that Kosovo will “never again” be Serbia, Ristivojevic said that Serbia's answer is that Kosovo is Serbia and will remain Serbia forever.

In addition to reports about current investigation of Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, which suggest that attack on US embassy in Belgrade in the shadows of the massive "Kosovo is Serbia" rally was a setup aimed at debasing and suppressing Serbian resistance to criminal Western actions against the state of Serbia, there are indications that an ultra-violent wing of American CIA could be behind the staged attack.

American political analyst and author Webster G. Tarpley, in the article "Brzezinski Seizing Control Over US Policy In Slow-Motion Coup" published on February 23, assessed that greasy fingerprints of one of the most notorious Russophobes, a fanatically aggressive warmonger Zbigniew Brzezinski, are all too visible in the latest events taking place in Serbia, including the recent torching of an office in the Belgrade US embassy:

“The attack on the US embassy in Belgrade, Serbia by gangs of drunken students is a classic Brzezinski operation. The tactic of having an incensed rent-a-mob of swarming adolescent patsies attack the US Embassy in order to gin up a crisis is one of Zbigniew's signature specialties.

“During the time that Brzezinski was running the foreign policy of Trilateral puppet Jimmy Carter, there were bloody attacks on the US embassies in Pakistan and in Afghanistan, both countries that featured prominently in Brzezinski's arc of crisis theory. Most famous of all was of course the attack on the US embassy in Teheran, Iran, which led to the taking of hostages and the huge international crisis which helped to doom the Carter administration to extinction at the polls.

“If US diplomats or State Department personnel are taken hostage anywhere in the world in the weeks and months to come, this must be attributed to Brzezinski,” Tarpley stressed.

Obama's Key Adviser Seeks an All-Out War With Russia

Furthermore, the lunatic who cheered jihadists and bragged about his involvement in allying United States with Bin Laden and Taliban mujahedins in the war against Russia in Afghanistan, is also one of the key persons behind the amputation of Kosovo and Metohija province from Serbia. According to Tarpley, Brzezinski's goal is not so much to destroy Serbia (though a welcomed bonus), as to provoke an all-out war with Russia:

“The independence of Kosovo has opened a new crisis front in Eastern Europe, with the potential for very nasty complications in regard to Russia. This is the essence of the Brzezinski anti-Russian policy.

“Kosovo independence is of course a flagrant violation of all existing norms of international law, most notably the Helsinki CSCE treaty of 1975 which finally put an end to World War II by declaring that all borders in Europe were to be considered final unless and until any changes had been agreed through mutual consultation of the interested parties.

“Since the Serbian government in Belgrade is vehemently opposed to Kosovo independence, the unilateral actions of the US, British, and NATO are the very essence of international anarchy. The new regime in Kosovo goes far beyond the usual kleptocracy of NATO puppets favored by Brzezinski and his circles. The new regime in Kosovo is essentially the terrorist KLA, an organization devoted to gun-running, drug-running, and trafficking in human slaves.

“The KLA is a Balkan version of Al Qaeda, and both are wholly owned creations of the CIA and British intelligence. With Kosovo independence, the US, British, and NATO stand ready to use armed force to defend the right of a terrorist gang to assert sovereignty over a segment of modern Europe.

“The criminal obscenity of this policy could hardly be greater, but for Brzezinski all methods are legitimate provided that they increase tension with Moscow, and in that respect Kosovo independence is already a glowing success.”

This raving madman is Barrack Obama's top adviser and positioned to take up one of the key posts in the US Administration should any Democratic candidate win the presidency.

Another Setup

Massive Rally in Belgrade
"Kosovo is Serbia" rally in Belgrade was so massive that all the streets and bridges surrounding National Parliament building were filled with people who could not reach the plateau where the gathering was held.

Was Thursday Attack on US Embassy in Belgrade a Setup?

According to the Serbian media, investigators of the Serbian Interior Ministry have found hand-drawn maps pointing to the streets and buildings of the US and other embassies in Belgrade in the pockets of a group of vandals who were arrested in Thursday riots.

Serbia's Interior Ministry has confirmed their investigation is focused on the identity of a group of young men who were caught with rather unusual maps after instigating violent riots at the same time when half a million Serbs were gathered in the state capital to peacefully protest imposed dismemberment of Serbia, and as the procession of over 500,000 peaceful demonstrators streamed out of St. Sava Cathedral where they attended the prayer service. The investigators are currently trying to determine under whose authority and instructions were these men sent to create chaos in the streets of Belgrade, effectively taking the world's attention off Serbia's massive and dignified protest, and refocusing that same attention to the outburst of violence that occurred in the shadows of the big event.

“According to our investigation, apart from setting fire to the embassies and consulates, these individuals intended to draw citizens that were attending a peaceful rally in the downtown Belgrade, in the violence. The first outbursts have started in the midst of a rally, while the demolition and attack on embassies occurred when citizens started returning from the St. Sava Church,” Serbian Interior Ministry investigators explained.

They have discovered that a number of those who were engaged in the violent attacks on embassies have not attended the large rally in front of the National Parliament building and never intended to attend the scheduled peaceful demonstrations, but to instigate violence.

Common Prayer
Common Prayer, Moleban for Kosovo and Metohija, was led by Metropolitan Amfilohije and Bishops of Serbian Orthodox Church at 7p.m., after the rally. Feb. 21, 2008, Belgrade, Serbia

“We are currently investigating the identity of those who were arrested and analyzing the objects found on them at the time of arrest. Some among them have attempted to justify the maps they carried as a means of finding their way to the big rally, since they are not from Belgrade. But they could not explain why, instead of having maps with directions on how to reach the National Parliament building where the rally was held, it was the diplomatic buildings that were marked on their maps, e.g. the US Embassy and those belonging to Croatia, Slovenia, UK and Turkey,” one of the investigators told the media, under the condition of anonymity.

The police is also looking into the arrestees' biographies and dossiers, as well as their contacts abroad.

“Some of the arrestees have very interesting biographies and contacts, and we are currently also looking into their connections abroad,” the MIF investigator revealed.

The investigator would not say whether the police and Serbian national security services are suspecting or have discovered the involvement of the foreign factors and foreign secret services in the outburst of violence.

“We are following every lead and every possible connection right now,” he said.

Until the investigation is finished and we learn the results, we might want to consider few questions:

  • Which state officials/leaders are rapidly losing all credibility and every shred of moral "high-ground" and would, therefore, tremendously benefit from showing the Serbs as the actual bad guys once again?
  • Who has been most eager to milk the outburst of violence in Belgrade, until our eyes and ears start bleeding of their righteous indignation and "moral outrage"?
  • Theoretically, if one would want to take the world's eyes off the flood of criticism aimed at Washington these days and off the entire Serbian nation standing up in protest against this last act of molestation, what would be the best way to "turn the tables" and re-direct some of that anger at Serbs yet again?

Serbia in Prayer
Serbia stands in prayer for its southern province of Kosovo and Metohija

  • In theory, if one would want to distract the world's attention from a spectacularly massive peaceful gathering of over half a million people protesting the great powers' brute force, what would be the best way to show the actual victims in a negative light and turn them into "perpetrators"?
  • Who is getting desperate for failing to force Serbia to take few steps back and resign to the loss of the most precious part of its state, instead of continuing the very serious, unanimous resistance?
  • Why would the Soros-owned and funded B92 and each of the Soros employees in Serbia insist on mercilessly clogging Serbs over the office burned in the US embassy on that evening, allowing it to entirely overshadow the incomparably more massive and more important event that took place at the same time?
  • When you think of Thursday, February 21, when all of Serbia stood up in common prayer in face of the latest injustice of the world's Empire, do you remember the ocean of people testifying that Kosovo is Serbia, or the pictures of a hundred young men torching the office in American embassy in Belgrade?

Consider also another angle from which the issue ought to be viewed:

In a Tale of Two Embassies, UK journalist and commentator Neil Clark reminds of another embassy in Belgrade that was brutally attacked by a savage gang of thugs.

American author Jeremy Scahill in his latest article The Real Story Behind Kosovo's Independence reveals that “the greatest crime against any embassy in the history of Yugoslavia was committed not by evil Serb protesters, but by the United States military.”

Continued Protests

Serbian Students Determined to Reach Kosovo Colleagues for Joint Protests

According to Serbian news agency Tanjug, hundreds of students from Belgrade, Nis and Kragujevac who left Friday morning for Kosovska Mitrovica to attend student protests there, are held at Jarinje, a crossing on the administrative line between central Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija province.

The dean of the University of Belgrade Branko Kovacevic told Tanjug that the international forces deployed in the province are refusing to allow the student buses to enter Kosovo, but that the students are determined to stay at Jarinje until they are let through.

At this moment, Serbian students are on both sides of the administrative line, since some 200 Belgrade students in two busses, who were allowed to continue towards Kosovska Mitrovica, were stopped are a nearby Kfor checkpoint and then returned towards the administrative crossing.

A group of some 60 students left the bus and walked 12 kilometers towards their Kosovo province colleagues in Kosovska Mitrovica where they were headed when they crossed the administrative line on foot. Mitrovica Serbs sent a bus which picked the students from central Serbia up 12 kilometers from Jarinje.

UNMIK and KFOR said that, since this morning, they are allowing entry into the province from central Serbia only to the residents and their relatives, who are not expected to hold protests.

"We have opted for this move after last night's protests in Belgrade and buses carrying demonstrators are strictly prohibited entry, while those carrying citizens will be allowed," an Albanian spokesman for KPS in Pristina told the agency.

The students are headed to Kosovska Mitrovica to support their colleagues there, who hold daily peaceful protests at 12:44 CET, to underline that the latest U.S. and EU moves over Kosovo violate international law, and more specifically, UN Resolution 1244.

Kosovo-Metohija Students: “Veto the Ghetto!”

Students of the University of Pristina, with temporarily based headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, at yesterday's protest in declared once again that they do not recognize the independence of Kosovo and Metohija and that the states that have done this have most grossly violated international law.

Near the bridge on the Ibar, students of the Faculty of Arts held a performance symbolically demonstrating what certain states have done with their recognition of the independence of the southern Serbian province. They also carried printed arrest warrants with photographs of certain representatives of the interim institutions of Kosovo and world statesmen who have recognized the independence of this province, with the words "Wanted for violating international law" written in English.

The protesters carried flags of Serbia, of their faculties, banners with the inscriptions "Kosovo is Serbia," "Veto to ghetto," "We will not give up Kosovo," "We will not let Haradinaj be our chancellor," and they shouted the slogans "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia" and "We will not give up Kosovo."

The daily student protests in southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Methija will continue as long as Kosovo province is under occupation.

Serbian Army Reservists Push Their Way Into Kosovo Province

The same day, at another administrative crossing dividing Kosovo province from the rest of Serbia, Merdare, several hundred Serbian Army reservists have around 13:30 CET crossed the administrative line to the province, demonstrating the Pristina separatists' unilateral declaration of independence.

A cordon of former KLA members, now masquerading as "Kosovo police", KPS, tried to stop reservists from getting further into the province by a barbed wire, but the Serbs removed the obstacles from the road and continued deeper into the province.

They threw stones at KPS and set tires on fire close to their outpost, forcing Albanians to retreat and be replaced by the NATO (KFOR) soldiers who, wearing full riot gear, appeared and formed a new cordon, while KPS withdrew. As the Serb reservists advanced, the KFOR requested the reinforcement, with more soldiers and an APC.

Serbian reservists remained in the territory of the province, refusing to leave for hours, although the new obstacles, this time set by KFOR, prevented them from advancing. They were shouting slogans "Kosovo is ours", "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia" and "We won't give Kosovo away".

Russia May Have to Use Force to Secure Respect for its Point of View

Worried about the reports that certain Alliance troops and commanders are "raising the issue that Serbian officials should not be permitted to enter the territory of Kosovo," and that KFOR forces are attempting to close the border, "separating Serbs from Serbia," Russia's Permanent Representative to NATO Dmitri Rogozin on Friday warned NATO not to overstep its authority in that southern Serbian province, and not to be engaged in politics.

“The responsibility for a possible escalation will rest on those who were in favor of the recognition of the unilateral independence of the southern Serbian province,” he said.

Kosovo Serb students
Along with Serbian flags, Kosovo Serb students are carrying the flags of the states that do not recognize amputated Kosovo, Feb. 21, 2008, Kosovo and Metohija, Serbia

In a direct TV link from Brussels, Rogozin said that the recognition of Kosovo and Metohija is a strategic mistake of the west and did not rule out the possibility that Russia might start using armed force to secure respect, if NATO oversteps its mandate in Kosovo and Metohija, at the same time warning the Alliance not to be engaged in politics in Kosovo.

"If the European Union formulates a united stand, or if NATO steps outside the frameworks of its mandate in Kosovo, then these two organizations will enter into conflict with the UN, and then we will proceed from the need to apply crude force, which is called armed force, in order to secure respect," Rogozin warned.

If Might is Right, Russia's Might Ought to be Taken Into Consideration

He stressed that neither the UN Security Council, nor Russia, has agreed to carve Serbia by imposing new borders within Serbian state:

"That was not our agreement. Should that report be proven correct, we will have a complicated dialog with our partners here in Brussels and dramatic developments are possible within a discussion between Russia and NATO," Rogozin said.

"Now, that is serious. These are not only relations between Russia and NATO, that is a conflict with the system of international security," Rogozin said, adding that this would then become "a major political issue, a question of the future, a question of whether there are codes of behavior among states, or whether one should proceed from the assumption that those who have the power are in the right," he said.

"Then we too would have to proceed from the point that we would also need crude physical force, named armed force, in order to secure respect, understanding and recognition of our right to a point of view," the Russian representative to NATO explained.

The Sovereignty Issue

Belgrade Rally
"Kosovo is Serbia" rally was attended by more than half a million people protesting the imposed dismemberment of Serbia. February 21, Belgrade, Serbia

Sovereign, Sovereigner, Sovereignest, USA

The AFP reported the US Ambassador to the United Nations said Thursday he was "outraged" by the storming of the US embassy in Belgrade by rioters protesting American-led West's recognition of the illegally declared independence of southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija by the Pristina separatists.

"I am outraged by the mob attack against the US embassy in Belgrade," Zalmay Khalilzad told reporters, adding he would seek condemnation by the UN Security Council.

"The embassy is sovereign US territory. The government of Serbia has a responsibility under international law to protect diplomatic facilities, particularly embassies."

Infuriated by the West's hypocrisy and double standards over the state of Serbia and its Kosovo province, several hundred of Serbian rioters stormed the US embassy in Belgrade before setting it on fire on Thursday, after a massive peaceful rally in the Serbian capital which, according to the BBC World reporter from Belgrade, Nick Hawton, has gathered more than 500,000 protesters.

But that's not all. Khalilzad said he would "ask the 15-member Security Council to issue a unanimous statement expressing its outrage, condemning the attack and also reminding the Serb government of its responsibility."

So, let me see if I get this straight: the US embassy in Belgrade is "a sovereign American territory" in Serbia, but 15% of Serbian state and a cradle of Serbia's culture, faith and statehood—Kosovo and Metohija province—was not sufficiently sovereign Serbian territory the moment the US decided to seize it from Serbia?

US Embassy
US embassy was stormed by few hundred rioters and set ablaze

Under the International Law, We are All Unequal

Furthermore, United States of America is so threatened and aggrieved by Serbia that American officials are simply forced to resort to invoking the protection of the "international law", reminding the Serbs of their "obligation" ("under the international law", of course) to protect a building that was rented to American staff in Belgrade (all CIA agents, by the way). At the same time, those same officials have no qualms about being at the very helm of the International Law Violators Inc, responsible for the brutal trampling of the exact same international law, by going as far as following in the Hitler's footsteps and redrawing Serbia's internationally recognized borders to suit their present needs, feelings and mood.

The question is whether Khalilzad is talking about one and the same international law that, ideally, applies to everyone, or does he, perchance, have in mind some very special "international law" that applies only to small, defenseless states, expected to take all the illegal pounding by the US and behave, carefully abiding by that "international law" which the US and few others never have to respect.

Finally, and perhaps most insultingly, to demand that the UN Security Council issues a "unanimous condemnation" of Serbia for rioters storming the American embassy in Belgrade, after the US led NATO into the aggression on Serbia fighting foreign-funded terrorists and secessionists, after the US-led NATO bombed Serbia for 78 days, after the US orchestrated dismemberment of Yugoslavia, after it drew the borders over the life-tissue of Serbian nation in the Balkans, and after it imposed dismemberment of Serbia by officially recognizing part of Serbia's integral territory as a separate state—all without ever coming close to the UN Security Council approval—is so cynical and offensive that a half-sane and barely decent person could never even consider suggesting.

(Afghani-born) Zalmay Khalilzad might as well forget about trying to force Serbs into submission with threats and punishments ever again, being that the country he represents has already done its worst and lowest to Serbs. He should also brace himself for much worse: Serbia is just getting warmed up.

Unmasking Western Neocolonialism

Albanian Democrats Unmask Western Lies and Hypocrisy

The Kosovo Democratic Initiative, the party of Serbia's Albanians and other citizens, on Wednesday condemned the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo-Metohija province.

Albanian Democratic party, whose seat is in the Serbian city of Nis, invited the international community and especially the European Union "not to push Albanians into another confrontation with Serbia, because this is their state."

"We support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and request the annulment of the unilateral act on independence of Kosovo-Metohija," the statement said.

The Kosovo Democratic Initiative stressed that "since the arrival of KFOR and UNMIK in Kosovo-Metohija, more than 1,600 Albanians were killed by their extreme compatriots just for being loyal citizens of Serbia and for not supporting the separatist movement after the signing of the Kumanovo agreement."

"More than 30,000 Albanians who lived in Kosovo-Metohija had to leave their homes and find refuge in Serbia proper, running away from their extreme compatriots and Albanian terrorism," the statement said.

Islamic Community of Serbia Sides with Serbs, Condemns Declaration by Pristina Separatists

Unlike other recognitions coming from the western world, which have angered Serbia and forced it to recall its ambassadors from the modern-day fascist states, the cheering for amputated Kosovo province by the Organization of the Islamic Conference caused a sharp reaction from the Serbian Muslims.

The Islamic Community of Serbia has condemned the unilateral declaration by the Pristina separatists, and appealed to all Islamic countries to consider the interests of Muslims in Serbia when they make a decision on whether to recognize such proclamations.

Calling on the Organization of the Islamic Conference to alter this decision chief Mufti of the Islamic Community of Serbia Muhamed Jusufspahic said that “community of Muslims whose homeland is Serbia condemn the declaration adopted by Pristina as an act of political violence that may further deepen gaps and divisions among peoples of the world.”

“A unilateral declaration of Kosovo independence is really what this is. With it, many countries, members of the Organization of Islamic Countries, would face trials and tribulations, the same or similar ones,” Jusufspahic assessed.

Mufti of Serbia "thanked God that the state is protecting the mosques, since that is in the interest of all the citizens of Serbia", in reference to strong police cordons deployed around the mosques in Belgrade, guarding the places of worship as demonstrations against the imposed severing of Kosovo and Metohija province continue throughout Serbia.

He called on other Islamic communities in the region to show restraint and not offer any comment, “because it is in our interest to live in accord with our Orthodox, Christian neighbours”.

Serbia's Roma Community will Never Recognize Amputated Kosovo

The Roma National Council denied Tuesday allegations that this community has accepted the decision by the Albanian Pristina separatists to unilaterally declare independence of the province.

“The Roma community will never recognize Kosovo independence and it will never betray their country Serbia,” the Council said in a press release, condemning a statement by the UK Ambassador to the UN John Sawers, who reportedly said that “Ahtisaari plan and the declaration of independence were accepted by the Roma and Turkish communities” in southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija.

“The Roma community is one of the major "collateral damages" in Kosovo and are victims of ethnic cleansing and terror by ethnic Albanians,” the Council said.

“Since the arrival of international forces in Kosovo, over 85 percent of Roma have fled from their homes in the province due to terror by ethnic Albanians and interim institutions, and less than five percent have dared return,” the release says.

“Consequently, the UK ambassador must not and has no right to issue false claims on Roma support to the unlawful decision of the Kosovo Albanian separatist parliament,” the release says.

German Left to Sue Chancellor Merkel Over Illegal Recognition

German opposition Left Party intends to sue Chancellor Angela Merkel before the Federal Constitutional Court for recognizing the unilaterally declared independence by Albanian separatists in Pristina, Left Party foreign affairs expert Norman Paech told Bundestag on Wednesday.

“The federal government in Berlin has not respected the international law, which forbids the secession of minorities and requires that all sides are united upon division,” said the representatives of the Left Party, the second biggest opposition party in Germany following the Liberals.

The German Left warns that the entire Balkan region is threatened by destabilization following the unilaterally declared independence of Pristina secessionists.

Everybody Knows Kosovo is Mafia State, Slovak Leader

According to Slovak media, Slovak Deputy Premier for European Affairs Dusan Caplovic, commenting on Albanian separatists in Pristina declaring illegal independence, called Albanian-dominated southern Serbian province "Drogovo" ("The Drug State").

"That's my opinion. Everybody knows what's going on there. We know very well where drugs, white meat and guns flow through in order to get into Europe," said Caplovic, stressing that he will never vote in favor of Kosovo-Metohija amputation.

Christian Democrat (KDH) chairman Pavol Hrusovsky, who was appeared in the TV studio with vice premier, said that we are now witnessing something that we've never seen before: "That all the powerful people from individual countries, knowing that the essential principles of international law have been broken and that a new state has been born within another state without the latter's approval, are recognizing this with such ease."

The Bitter Fruits

NWO Map

Without Law, There is Just One “Unique Case” After Another

Couple of days ago in her superb commentary titled "Independence in the Brave New World Order: NATO's Kosovo Colony", Diana Johnstone dismantled utterly ridiculous claims by the Western powers about the alleged uniqueness of southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija in two brief paragraphs:

“Russia has warned that Kosovo independence will set a dangerous precedent, encouraging other ethnic minorities to follow the example of the Albanians and demand secession and an independent State. The United States has dismissed such concerns by flatly asserting that Kosovo is "unique". Well yes, Kosovo is a unique case, and is the only one recognized by the United States until the next "unique case" comes along. When legal criteria have been thrown out, we just have one "unique case" after another.

“The "uniqueness" claimed by the United States is a propaganda construction. It is based on the supposed "uniqueness" of Milosevic's repression of the armed secessionist movement, which was not unique at all. It was standard operating procedure throughout history and the world over, in such circumstances. Deplorable, no doubt, but not unique. It was minor indeed compared to the similar but endless and far bloodier anti-insurgency operations in Colombia, Sri Lanka, and Chechnya, not to mention Northern Ireland, Thailand, the Philippines. And unlike the counter-insurgency operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, which kill incomparably more civilians, it was carried out by the legal, democratically elected government of the country, rather than by a foreign power.”

Precedent Created, Pridnestrovye Foreign Ministry

And, sure enough, on the very same day when Johnstone's article was published, February 18— just one day after the lawless unilateral declaration of independence by Pristina separatists—Foreign Ministry of yet unrecognized Pridnestrovye (or Transdnistra), which broke away from Moldova, issued a statement demanding the earliest possible recondition of its own independence, pointing that declaration and recognition of Kosovo and Metohija had created a precedent for resolving all similar conflicts throughout the world.

"The declaration of the independence of Kosovo and the recognition that ensued has principled significance, as it creates a new model for resolving conflicts," the statement of Transdnistra Foreign Ministry reads, adding that “this model should be applied to all conflicts which have similar political, legal and economic bases.”

The statement stresses that “the recognition of Kosovo was a result of the expansionist policy, which the United States and NATO pursued contrary to the fundamental provisions of international law,” while “all the institutions of power in Pridnestrovye were created by a direct expression of people's will and not by the establishment of a totally foreign administration.”

The independence of Pridnestrovye was declared in referendums in 1990-1991, confirmed by the adoption of a constitution in 1995, and again at a referendum in 2006. After Albanian separatists in Serbia have been encouraged and allowed to unilaterally secede from Serbia, even though Kosovo and Metohija province represents cultural, historical and religious cradle of Serbian state, and especially after it was recognized as an independent state by the Western powers, citizens of Pridnestrovye see no valid reasons to be further denied international recognition.

Basque Separatists: Kosovo Example to Follow

On the same day, the Basque regional authorities in northern Spain issued a very similar statement from San Sebastian. Though Spain has expressly said it will not recognize southern Serbian province as an independent state, because the "unilateral act" by the Pristina Albanians "is in contravention to the international law", the Basque separatist government welcomed the declaration from Pristina as a "new example of the right of self-determination" and a "lesson to be learned from," and even criticized Spain "for not granting formal recognition."

"It's a lesson to be followed when it comes to peaceful and democratic solutions of the identity and allegiance problems", a regional government spokeswoman told reporters in San Sebastian.

"It shows that respect of the citizens' will is the key to solving difficult political problems," she added.

In other words, the Basque separatists have just been given a master key to perverting democracy and dropping it on its ear, by turning a national minority into a regional majority, so whichever building, village and town you can find with majority of "us" verses "them" — play the "local majority" card, go for it and tear the state up.

Corsican Separatists "Delighted" Over Kosovo Amputation

Delusional Sarkozy

When the French fascist clown Nicolas Sarkozy visited a school in Perigueux, France, two days before the illegal declaration by the Albanian Pristina separatists, he pointed to the map of Europe on a classroom wall which showed Kosovo and Metohija province as part of Serbia, and told schoolchildren they'll have to change their map to show Serbian province as a separate state.

No doubt he was pleased to discover that, four days later, the Independent Corsican Nation (CNI) welcomed with "delight" unilateral declaration of independence by Pristina separatists. At least the evil little gnome Sarkozy has one thing in common with the nation that wants to dismember the state he's presiding over: they are equally delighted over dismemberment of Serbia, although for entirely different reasons.

According to the French media, the Independent Corsican Nation saluted amputated Kosovo province and the "brotherly Kosovo people", which kinda goes to show how much do they know when they think there is such a thing as "Kosovo nation". But the ignorance knows no bounds:

"Our movement is aware of the courageous struggle that you and the Kosovo people have fought to overthrow the sham sovereignty that Belgrade wanted to impose with the rump status of autonomy which did not offer a single basic guarantee to your people," CNI told the war-criminal-turned-prime-minister Hashim Thaci in a letter.

CNI said that they hope that a delegation of the provisional Kosovo government would shortly take part in the so-called International Days, an annual event held each August in Corsica, dedicated to the celebration of Corsican nationalism and rallying European separatists from the Basque country and Catalonia in Spain, the French Bretagne, Sardinia and Sicily, Tyrol and other separatist regions in Europe.

Hopefully, their unrecognized president Sarkozy will be equally gracious in helping schoolchildren in France get used to the new look of French map.

Serbs Consider Seeking Revision of Former Yugoslav Republics' Borders

Apart from the other European regions and territories clamoring for independence oftentimes for much longer than ethnic Albanians in Serbia, there are ever-louder requests by the Serbs for revision of borders in the former Yugoslavia. They are pointing to the fact that Republic of Serbian Krajina (in unilaterally seceded Croat republic) should have no lesser rights to exist and be recognized as a separate entity than Serbian Kosovo province, an integral part of Serbia for the past ten centuries.

Serbian Krajina leadership in Exile has confirmed that possible recognition of the amputated Kosovo province by the Croat state will immediately cause the issue of the Republic of Serbian Krajina to be internationalized and subject the present Croat borders to requests for revision.

Bosnian Serbs, who have raised the issue of Republic of Srpska secession from the artificially pasted Bosnian state many times before, have requested the referendum to be called in the Serbian Republic in Bosnia to give their vote for divorce from the imposed marriage with Muslim-Croat federation only a day after the severed Kosovo and Metohija has been recognized by the Western powers:

"The Serb Democratic Party is demanding Republika Srpska’s institutions provide (Bosnian Serbs) the same rights being given to Kosovo Albanians," said the Republic's SDS party.

"We expect the (Bosnian Serb) government to meet previous promises and check the will of Republika Srpska citizens in a referendum," the SDS said in a statement sent to media on February 19, 2008.

“After Kosovo, It Would be Kashmir”

Number of separatist regions outside the Europe are equally thrilled with Kosovo amputation from Serbia and, contrary to laughable US and British claims, see absolutely nothing "unique" about the Serbian province.

The representatives of a long disputed separatist region of Kashmir in India have too rushed to draw parallels between their situation and that of Albanian minority in Serbia, pointing to Serbian Kosovo province as an example they should follow:

“It is a moment of delight for Muslims all over the world,” veteran Kashmir's secessionist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani told the media from New Delhi, adding that “the creation of a Muslim state within the European Union has strengthened the resolve of the people of Kashmir to achieve their right to self- determination.”

“The day is not far away,” Geelani said, “when the people of Kashmir will announce their Independence from imperial India.”

Kashmiri senior leader Hurriyat Conference (M) Shabir Shah said, “Independence of Kosovo should serve as an eye-opener to those who say that (Kashmir’s) Accession with India is final and rule out the creation of an independent Kashmir.”

“Such people and parties should stop serving the interests of their masters for petty interests and join hands with us towards the formation of an independent Kashmir as the day is not far away when the people of Kashmir will announce their independence as done by the people of Kosovo,” Shabir Shah said.

Islam's Main Achievement Since the Siege of Vienna in 1683

No one should be surprised to find that the Islamic world is generally as delighted the fake Muslim state on the territory of Serbia was recognized by the Western powers, as Bush, Brown and Sarkozy. The world was forewarned many times over of the dangers of allowing the creation of Muslim states in the heart of Europe, especially if such entities were a direct result of terrorism and jihad, such as Bosnia and Kosovo province in the Balkans.

Dr. Shaul Shay, Colonel in the Israeli Army and the author of the book "Islamic Terror in the Balkans", made it crystal-clear quite a while back that "In the eyes of the radical Islamic circles, the establishment of an independent Islamic territory including Bosnia, Kosovo and Albania along the Adriatic Coast, is one of the most prominent achievements of Islam since the siege of Vienna in 1683. Islamic penetration into Europe through the Balkans is one of the main achievements of Islam in the twentieth century."

The confirmation came less than a day after the unilateral declaration of independence by the Albanian Muslims in Pristina, when the Islamic Umma showed its unrestrained joy:

Bush's Ass

“With regard to the declaration of independence by Kosovo yesterday, Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu made the following remark today (18 February 2008) in Dakar at the opening of the OIC Senior Officials Meeting preparatory to the forthcoming OIC Summit to be held there on 13-14 March 2008:

"…a very important event took place yesterday. Kosovo has finally declared its independence after a long and determined struggle by its people. As we rejoice this happy result, we declare our solidarity with and support to our brothers and sisters there. The Islamic Umma wishes them success in their new battle awaiting them which is the building of a strong and prosperous a state capable of satisfying of its people. There is no doubt that the independence of Kosovo will be an asset to the Muslim world and further enhance the joint Islamic action."

“If Kosovo Can Be Free, Why Not Palestine?”

And while the state of Israel allows itself to mull over and weigh and think about whether to join in with the world's modern-day fascist leaders and issue its own recognition to the shameless seizure of Serbia's most precious territory, even the more unpleasant parallels are being drawn and, however painful, expected to grow much louder the moment Israel would accept the monstrous Western creation in Serbia.

John Whitbeck's article titled "If Kosovo Can be Free, Why Not Palestine?", published on February 19 in the Arab News, has received significant attention in the Muslim world. Viewing unilaterally declared independence of the Albanian minority for severing part of Serbia's territory as destabilizing and worrisome, Whitebeck argues that this act of lawlessness might have "one potentially constructive consequence", that of "Palestinian independence".

“[...] The American and EU impatience to sever a portion of a UN member state (universally recognized, even by them, to constitute a portion of that state's sovereign territory), ostensibly because 90 percent of those living in that portion of the state's territory support separation, contrasts starkly with the unlimited patience of the US and the EU when it comes to ending the 40-year-long belligerent occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip (no portion of which any country recognizes as Israel's sovereign territory and as to which Israel has only even asserted sovereignty over a tiny portion, occupied East Jerusalem). Virtually every legal resident of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip seeks freedom - and has for over 40 years. For doing so, they are punished, sanctioned, besieged, humiliated and, day after endless day, killed by those who claim to stand on the moral high ground.

“In American and EU eyes, a Kosovar declaration of independence from Serbian sovereignty should be recognized even if Serbia does not agree. However, their attitude was radically different when Palestine declared independence from Israeli occupation on Nov. 15, 1988. Then the US and the EU countries (which, in their own eyes, constitute the "international community", to the exclusion of most of mankind) were conspicuously absent when over 100 countries recognized the new State of Palestine, and their nonrecognition made this declaration of independence purely "symbolic" in their own eyes and, unfortunately, in most Palestinian and other eyes as well.

“[...] [T]he Kosovo precedent offers the Ramallah-based Palestinian leadership, accepted as such by the "international community" because it is perceived as serving Israeli and American interests, a golden opportunity to seize the initiative, to reset the agenda and to restore its tarnished reputation in the eyes of its own people. If this leadership truly believes, despite all evidence to the contrary, that a decent "two-state solution" is still possible, now is an ideal moment to reaffirm the legal existence (albeit under continuing belligerent occupation) of the State of Palestine, explicitly in the entire 22 percent of Mandatory Palestine which was not conquered and occupied by the State of Israel until 1967, and to call on all those countries which did not extend diplomatic recognition to the State of Palestine in 1988 - and particularly the US and the EU states - to do so now [...]”

While Serbia most certainly did not deserve to be treated like this by the United States, Great Britain, France and the rest of American-client states, there is no question whether those same powers and their puppets will deserve absolutely everything that befalls them after this act of truly unprecedented lawlessness and as a direct consequence of their own actions.

Serbia Has Risen!

Albanian Separatists and UNMIK Pressure Serbs to Leave Kosovo Province

Serbian National Council of Kosovo and Metohija (SNV) warned on Tuesday about the increasing pressure of Albanian separatists on Serbs, urged UNMIK and KFOR to protect the Serb and other non-Albanian population, and called on the authorities in Belgrade to undertake at once the measures that were required for the protection of the sovereignty and integrity on the whole of its territory.

The anonymous bomb hoax in the Miladin Mitric (Serbian) primary school in the village of Laplje Selo, the beating up of a Serb woman in the village of Livoc near Gnjilane, as well as the pressure of the ethnic Albanian institutions that border crossings be placed at the administrative line are aimed at destabilizing the Serb community and forcing the Serbs to leave their homes, which will cause a destabilization of the region as a whole, the SNV assessed in a statement.

Serbs Demolish Illegal Border Checkpoints and "Customs Offices"

The problem arose when former Albanian terrorist KLA members, transformed into a "Kosovo Police Service" by the magic of NATO's will, along with UNMIK police, contrary to the UN Security Council Resolution 1244 that is still in force, attempted to install border crossings and customs offices on a non-existent, illegal "border" between Kosovo and Metohija province and Serbia proper.

Kosovo Serbs responded to this attempt at forcefully carving up Serbia by setting on fire the check point at Serbia's administrative crossing with its southern Kosovo province in the village of Jarinje, near Raska, as well as several vehicles of the UNMIK police and the Albanian KPS. The second check point installed in Brnjak, close to Zubin Potok, has been blown up, KiM Radio has reported, adding that there were no casualties.

The incident in Jarinje occurred about 11.30 am CET on Tuesday, February 19, when local Serbs from municipalities in the northern part of the province demolished and set on fire all the objects at the administrative crossing in northern Kosovo.

The premises of the UNMIK customs office, the Kosovo Police Service and the Kasa Banka bank, as well as a dozen vehicles of the KPS and UNMIK police were burnt to ashes.

The officers of these organizations were not the target of the demonstrators, and many UNMIK police members were evacuated into Serbia proper by the Serbian police.

Following the morning incident at Jarinje check point, Kfor and UNMIK police decided to try again, and blocked on Tuesday all accesses to Leposavic. According to Tanjug, French Kfor troops did not allow anyone in or out of Leposavic, and Kfor used bulldozers to pile up soil on the road.

Serbs who set fire to the checkpoint at Jarinje used a bulldozer to overcome another Kfor's obstacle. Kfor troops stepped aside, so that there was no clash. According to the reports Leposavic is currently overflown by international forces' helicopters, and some ten armored vehicles have been positioned in the direction of Kfor base Notting Hill.

President of the Zubin Potok municipality, Slavisa Ristic, told RTS that Serbs from the village reacted when they heard that the administrative crossing with Serbia proper was blocked by the Albanian customs officials, which instigated the revolt.

Brnjak Customs Blown-up
Another newly installed "customs office" in Brnjak was blown up by Kosovo Serbs

“We cannot allow imposition of the institutions of the non-existing state, and to have them force us to pay the tolls to some 'independent Kosovo'. That is unacceptable,” he said.

Ristic explained that the demonstrators did not clash with the KFOR, though they destroyed the freshly installed check points.

“KFOR has the right to be here in accordance with the Resolution 1244 and we have nothing against KFOR. But if there are further attempts to impose some institutions of the fake state, the residents will most certainly react again,” Ristic said.

He appealed to UNMIK and KFOR to protect Kosovo Serbs from the Pristina Albanian pressures and attacks, and to preserve the peace in Kosovo and Metohija province.
