NATO will not fight over Kosovo. NATO can't even round up enough troops to be deployed to Afghanistan. The Europeans and Canadians are constantly quarreling with the Americans, who are putting enormous pressure on them to send more troops to that country. The Americans don't want to send more of their own soldiers to Afghanistan, for the simple reason that they don't have them. They have no strategic reserve. In military terms, NATO itself is in a state of collapse

The American military is broken. In fact, it so desperate that it is accepting (remember it has a volunteer military) high school dropouts, people with criminal records and illegal aliens into its ranks. The illegal aliens are promised American citizenship if they join. In normal circumstances none of the aforementioned groups would be accepted into its military.

The situation in Iraq is so bad for the American military that they have resorted to paying their enemies, the Sunni insurgents, $10 a day not to attack their soldiers. That, in and of itself, is astonishing.

So for all of you who think that Serbia has no chance, militarily speaking, against NATO and America think again. The American public will not tolerate another war nor would the European public. When the body bags start coming back to America and the other NATO countries, the you-know-what will hit the fan.

The only viable military option for the West is air power. Nuclear weapons are out of the question. At any rate, the American air force and NATO would be very reluctant to go up against the Serbian air defense system. In the 1999 air war they lost quite a few aircraft, anywhere from 40 to 100, plus at least 6 troop carrying helicopters in which scores of soldiers were killed. These helicopters were sent in to rescue downed pilots and airmen.

If, as Marko Jaksic says, the Serbs acquire Russian weapons such as the highly effective S300 or even the more advanced S400 air defense systems, any American or NATO aircraft attacking Serbia would be on a suicide mission. An airplane has less than a 10% chance of surviving an attack by these high altitude long range air defense systems. They would be shot down before they even reached Serbia or before they did any damage. For those of you who doubt that, do the research.

Recognizing that halting the arrogant US, NATO, EU territorial "grab" in Kosovo is going to require the reestablishment of Serb police and military presence in the province, probably no time like the present to make that happen. I believe this is in compliance with res 1244. Then, if the fat EU fairy Feith shows up, place him under arrest as an illegal alien. Possibly Russia would deploy a few thousand troops as "trip wire" peacekeepers to the region. That way it would be like shoving a wooden shoe up Bush's ass...any attack against Serbs, their property, churches, monasteries would be difficult without it being interpreted as an attack on Russia. I think a majority of Russians would support such a move.

Now thats what srbija needs is people who think like this, not ankle grabbers like Mr gump. And his ankle grabber party, wake the f*ck up srbija. Your oppressor is knocking at your door, russia put up or S.T.F.U. because you are not helping.In amerika there is one hawk, one hen, and one rooster trying to get in the whitehouse. And one is the main reason srbija got bombed, one supports the UDI from albanians takes their drug, human trafficking money. And will try and start a war with russia. And that brings to the rooster who is leading the hen by far. he supported the illegal UDI. now whats going to happen if 2 of these morons get into the white house?, srbija will suffer even more and still wont be in the EU. btw any serb who reads this and thinks the EU is srbija`s friend. WAKE UP! because part of the EU is G E R M A N Y who killed and supported the killing of so many serbs in the past. there are over 100 countries who DO NOT support or recognize this illegal UDI from albanians, srbija should be worried about joining the eastern block, russia, china,india, and south amerikan countries. thats where the future lies not with the EU or NATO.

Simo u got the idea both the US manpower, economy and public support for another protracted or major conflict will send the US GB and EU into irreversable poverty but just buying alone the kub or s400 will not work alone Serbia needs to procure the URAN anti ship missles and enough of them to guarentee sinking a fleet in the med and adriatic if the first wave is defeated then we will be signing a peace deal on our terms.The US has hit $1.2 trillion debt GB $1 trillion. Carle de ponte's stories and all this provacation of Serbia of the last 6 months has been released only to incite the Serbs quiker into action as their grip on the world is slipping, PATIENCE is now the key, Russia will ensure they have no imcopentance or mistakes on the battlefeild which will include the middle east, with each day that passes the NATO and US grows weaker and we grow stronger. My understanding is that the Serbs have subsonic antiship cruise missiles, which means of course that they are slower and more vulnerable to being shot down by the Aegis systems that the Americans have on the ships in their carrier battle groups. However, if they are fired in large numbers some of them undoubtedly would get through and damage and sink ships. The question is how many do the Serbs have. If you recall, back in 1982 in the Falklands war between Argentina and Great Britain, the Argentine air force did quite a bit of damage to the British navy using the subsonic French Exocet antiship cruise missiles. The Argentines had fewer than 20 of these misiles, if I am not mistaken. If they had had, let's say 100 of these missiles, they could have very easily sunk the entire British fleet and won that war. Remember these Exocets are subsonic missiles.

When you write about the URAN, I think you are referring to the supersonic Sunburn and Yakhont antiship cruise missiles. Correct me if I am wrong. These missiles are unstoppable. The American navy has even admitted it cannot defend itself against these missiles. If the Serbs acquire these missiles from the Russians in sufficient numbers, the American and NATO fleets are finished. They would be sitting ducks. I don't think the Serbs would have too much difficulty getting them from the Russians, who have already exported them to China and Iran. Incidentally, that is one of the primary reasons the Americans will not attack Iran. They would lose too many of their ships if they attacked that country.

The Shkval rocket torpedo which travels 5 times faster than the fastest American torpedo is another weapon which could do a great deal of damage. The Russians have already exported it to Iran, which together with the
Sunburn enormously complicate an American attack on Iran and effectively deters the Americans from initiating such an attack. These rocket torpedoes could be launched from submarines, surface ships or low flying aircraft.
