The Truth Shall Never Go Away 5

President Slobodan Milosevic

US and NATO Needed to Ensure Permanent Military Presence in Europe After the Fall of Berlin Wall

Part 5 of late President Slobodan Milosevic's opening statement at the Hague, August 31, 2004 (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4)

As far as the United States are concerned, they have, first and foremost, their own interests in South-Eastern Europe, including former Yugoslavia. The mutual antagonisms and conflicts, impoverishment and the total inability to function independently on political, economic and every other level of the statelets or quasi-statelets created on the territory of former Yugoslavia represents the perfect ground for enabling the American political, economic and especially military presence in Europe.

This last bit, the military presence, is important to United States because after the fall of the Warsaw Pact, the US military presence in the Western [European] states has lost the whole purpose and justification. So, it is no wonder that the United States has been active in producing this miserable state of affairs most Balkan statelets find themselves in.

After the break-up of the Eastern Bloc, some form of the Cold War has continued in this context of using all the means to prevent the survival of a society which could serve as an example of the successful alternative to the current crude pasting of the capitalist model, even though it too has its own problems.

In that sense, Yugoslavia could not have been allowed to survive the Warsaw Pact, because it would represent an inconvenient example to the other East European countries, an example of independent development and the alternative to the unquestioning acceptance of the Western values. This would have made it an obstacle to the new world order, as well as to the world shaped by the United States, as the sole remaining superpower in the world. In other words, this would have made it an obstacle to the transformation of the world into the corporate society, under the leadership of New York banks, where the plunder is the main motive.

In March 1990, the US Congress adopted the "Foreign Operation Appropriation Law", which ended every form of financial assistance to Yugoslavia, except for democratic parties, and in a way that the Nazis and Islamic fundamentalists were also regarded as the democratic parties which needed to be supported. Later on the Albanian terrorists too, while the Albanian separatists were there all along.

It is also known what was the role of a privatized segment of the American army called MPRI [Military Professional Resources Incorporated], which trained the Croat and Muslim army and played the key role in the offensive against Krajina [Serbian-populated region in present-day Croatia]. This too confirms that the American behavior regarding the Yugoslav crisis actually had the purpose of ensuring the American military presence in Europe, which has been accomplished in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Kosovo and Metohija, and in Macedonia, as well as the dominant influence of USA and NATO throughout Europe.

I believe that I don't even need to mention here the economic interest, as an interest that stands above all the others. Such aspirations for dominating this part of the world are the only explanation for some, at the first glance irrational actions by the US, like influencing Alija Izetbegovic to withdraw his signature on the Cutileiro Plan, or a bit less known to the public at large American thwarting of the later negotiations, such as Vance-Owen Plan, Owen-Stoltenberg Plan and the other peace agreements. Obviously, peace in the Balkans was not in the interest of United States, up until the moment when military and the other forms of US and NATO presence were secured, and until the conditions were ripe to reach a solution under the American patronage.

Criminal Clinton Administration Forms Dangerous Liaisons with World Wide Terrorists

The identical goal was also confirmed by the American insistence on the Rambouillet conference, where they demanded NATO military presence on the entire territory of Yugoslavia, as well as by the aggression, sole purpose of which, obviously, was occupation of Kosovo-Metohija, occupation of all of Yugoslavia, securing the permanent NATO presence in this part of the world.

Along the way, William Clinton administration formed dangerous liaisons and alliances with the Islamic fundamentalist organizations and individuals, such as Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, terrorist UCK [KLA] in Kosovo, and others. In a word, precisely with those organizations and individuals who are, especially after September 11, 2001, considered the greatest threat to the United States and the West in general.

The price of such criminal policy of Clinton administration is enormous and, unfortunately, it is being paid by the innocent citizens throughout the world, including the American citizens, but also those of other Western states, such as Spain and others.

Naumann's Dream Came True: European Union is Great Germany & Satellites

However, while the objectives of Germany, Vatican and United States in the Yugoslav crisis were more or less clear and obvious, the behavior of other European Community -- later, the European Union -- members is entirely shocking, especially the drastic changes of their position under the German pressure.

This in spite of the European Community's declaration about Yugoslavia which emphasized, quote, "that the united and democratic Yugoslavia has the best prospects of harmonious integration into the new Europe". Even after Slovenia and Croatia declared independence, and after the flaring of the armed conflicts, the European Parliament on July 9, 1991, adopted Resolution on Yugoslavia in Strasbourg, which did not support the unilateral acts of secession by the two Yugoslav republics. The Council of European Community Ministers, the European Council, as well as the European Community institutions have also supported the territorial integrity of Yugoslavia.

A wider European, or rather the Euro-American forum, the CSCE [Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe] Council of Ministers, at the meeting in Berlin on July 19, 1991, adopted a declaration which, among else, expressed its support to the unity and territorial integrity of Yugoslavia, in line with the Helsinki Accords. The preservation of the state's territorial integrity was especially stressed. That the similar attitude prevailed on the other side of the Atlantic at the time, was confirmed by the fact that the US State Secretary [James] Baker, at the end of his visit to Yugoslavia in June 21, 1991, stated that the US supports the united and democratic Yugoslavia, future of which has to be decided through the mutual agreement, and stressed that the United States will not recognize the unilateral acts of secession.

Still, the European Community, the organization created as a result of a progressive process in Europe and the world, finally chose at the end of 1991 to support an extremely retrograde process, secession of Slovenia and Croatia, as well as the other secessionist republics. On December 17, 1991, the European Community adopted a declaration on the criteria for recognition of the new states in the Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union, and a Declaration on Yugoslavia, which called upon all the Yugoslav republics to submit their requests for recognition by December 23, with the proof that they have met the recognition criteria.

With this document, the European Community had not only trampled its own position from the March 26, 1991 Declaration on Yugoslavia, it has also violated a document it adopted only a month and a half earlier, the European Community Declaration published in Rome on November 8, 1991, which set out that the possibilities for recognizing the republics who so wish can only be considered within the overall solution. So, even though the role of Germany in this change of course in the position of the twelve is clear, it is still not only surprising, but also incredibly humiliating that eleven states allowed themselves to be forced to do something they initially and basically disagreed with, and under the pressure of only one, twelfth state, regardless of how influential and powerful that state may be.

I already mentioned Friederich Naumann who, during the World War I, presented the concept of the German domination over the Central Europe through the fragmentation of that part of the world and the creation of the small obedient states he called the satellite states. Of course, Naumann never thought about creation of satellites in the West. But the diktat which tied secession of the Yugoslav republics and their recognition imposed by Germany to the European Community members, and their bowing to that diktat in contrast to their own views and principles, and even while being aware of the secessionist tendencies in some of those very states, contrary to their most immediate interests, points to a humiliating fact that the members of this organization have also stooped so low to become German satellites. Thanks to the opportunism and the weakness of their incompetent leaders, some of the former Great Powers have also found themselves in this humiliating position. As shown by their later involvement in the score of NATO operations, including the aggression against Yugoslavia, they have also been degraded to a level of United States' satellites.

Crime Against Peace Remains to be Processed in the Real International Court

So, the Yugoslavia's right to survival cannot be questioned, nor can the unlawful character of its destruction, as the basis for eruption of the conflicts, be questioned. In all this it is, to say the least, cynical for those who have brought the Yugoslav nations to the mutual wars, cycles of violence and hatred, for them to now pretend to be naive and to administer justice. Our nations must never forget who is the main guilty party for the tragedy that took place on the territory of former Yugoslavia, and that will be clearly shown.

In Nuremberg, the first and main crime was the crime against peace, which is not so in this illegal tribunal of yours only because, in that case, those who have established this unlawful court would have to be placed on trial first.

It is not hard to prove, looking at historical events which were all well documented and available to the side across ["prosecution"], that the nationalism on the territory of former Yugoslavia did not start in Serbia, from the Serbian nation or the Serbian leadership, but mainly from the extreme right-wing separatist movement in Croatia, in Kosovo and Metohija, in Bosnia and Herzegovina -- from the Ustashas and neo-Nazis, the Islamic fundamentalists and the Albanian terrorists.

It is not hard to prove, and you will see how that goes, that the fratricidal war on the territory of former Yugoslavia was instigated and militarily supported by the West, precisely by those who have established this farcical court: Germany, Vatican and United States. That they had carried out the destruction and dismemberment of a sovereign state in violation of both the internal and the international law.

It is also not hard to prove that they used extremely undemocratic methods for destruction of Yugoslavia, contrary to the constant assurances of their humanity.

Regarding this, it can be said that what they call the international community, on the territory of Yugoslavia -- Croatia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina alike -- has been supporting a totalitarian chauvinist elite: terrorists, Islamic fundamentalists and neo-Nazis, whose goal was ethnically clean state, i.e. the state without Serbs.

The methods of cleansing the Serbian nation conducted by the Croat ultra-nationalist movement at the beginning of the 1990s with its paramilitary units, are quite identical to what was done 50 years earlier to the same nation, in the same region. At the beginning of the 1990s, it was the Serbs who were being killed and expelled from Croatia, even before Tudjman came to power. Serbs were the ones who were being killed and expelled from Kosovo and Metohija. The so-called international community headed by the US, sided with and was actively aiding the Islamic fundamentalism in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo-Metohija, which carried out numerous crimes against the Serbs. On top of everything, the crimes against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are being carried out with the full cooperation of the occupation forces headed by NATO, through the complete violation of the Security Council Resolution 1244 which codified the terms of ending the war offered to Yugoslavia.

When Yugoslavia could not be occupied and when the war had to be ended, the terms guaranteeing Yugoslavia sovereignty and territorial integrity were offered, stipulating that the United Nations protection forces will come to Kosovo to protect -- with an obligation to protect the entire population [in the province] -- and that the army and the police of Yugoslav state and Serbia will also have to be present to some extent and will return to Kosovo. None of this was fulfilled, but everything else was done. NATO soldiers came over shoulder-to-shoulder with criminals and expelled hundreds of thousands of people, killed thousands, torched dozens of churches... but I will come back to this later.

Hague Prosecution Demonstrated it Knew Fully Well Milosevic Did Not Start Any Wars

What I wish to say now is that there is an enormous amount of detailed documentation about the crimes against the Serbian nation committed during the past ten years. This documentation has been offered to this institution from various institutions throughout the world, but the side sitting on the opposite side hasn't even glanced at it. The reason for this is that the international community, while instigating conflicts in our part of the world, decided in advance that Serbs were to be blamed for everything. That is why everybody else could and had to be presented as a victim.

As to how the war was instigated in the territory of former Yugoslavia, the authors of the so-called Kosovo indictment against me, in paragraphs 79 and 80 stated one of the rare true assertions within the overall entirely false and shameful act. I'm quoting their text: "On June 25, 1991, Slovenia declared independence from the SFRY, which led to the outbreak of war." This is written in their document. "Croatia declared its independence on June 25, 1991, which led to fighting between the Croat forces, on the one side and JNA and paramilitary formations and the Army of the Republic of Serbian Krajina, on the other. Bosnia and Herzegovina declared independence on March 6, 1992, which, after April 6, 1992, led to a widespread war."

So, the very authors of this fake indictment, probably without thinking that they will later be putting together also the Croat and Bosnian indictment against me, have said who caused the war in former Yugoslavia. The participants in this enterprise, which can most certainly be called criminal, and they include both the internal and the external protagonists, have acted in complete contravention of both the internal, Yugoslav, and the international law. By such violation of the law and through the realization of the forceful secession of Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, they have committed the essential and the gravest of all crimes processed in Nuremberg and Tokyo -- the crime against peace, which falls under the jurisdiction of the legal and permanent International Criminal Court [ICC].

Defending Yugoslavia, Serbia was the Only One on the Side of Law

As opposed to the Croat and Slovenian authorities, and the Muslim-Croat authorities in Bosnia-Herzegovina, which have carried out the armed secession, and as opposed to their instigators and supporters from Germany, Austria, Vatican, the rest of European Community and later on the US and NATO pact, Serbian nation and Serbian leadership, including me, kept trying to preserve the Yugoslav state. By doing so, we were on the side of law, while the destroyers of Yugoslavia were flagrantly violating both the internal and the international law. Their invocation of the right to self-determination was nothing but a smokescreen, an effort to obscure the essence of their criminal act -- the unlawful and forceful secession. Because the Yugoslav nations, and especially its republics, did not have the right to unilaterally desert the Yugoslav state, neither by the Yugoslav Constitution, nor by the constitutions of the individual republics. They especially did not have the right to reach for their objective over the corpses of their co-citizens from the common state.

Article 5 of the Yugoslav Constitution which was in force at the time -- the Constitution adopted in 1974, states: "The territory of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is integral and comprised of the territories of the socialist republics. The borders of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia cannot be changed without the consent of all the socialist republics and autonomous regions". Based on this, it unambiguously follows that not a single republic or nation in SFRY, as explicitly stated in the Constitution, was independently endowed with the right to secede from SFRY, or to secede any part of its territory. This was possible only through the consent of all.

Bearing all this in mind, along with the desire expressed in Slovenia and Croatia, and later in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia, to leave the Yugoslav Federation, and precisely in the effort to avoid any conflict, as confirmed by the witness Borisav Jovic -- the President of the Yugoslav Presidency and later on member of the Presidency, Serbian side tried to persuade, since August 1990, the representatives of the other republics in the federal bodies to adopt a law which would appropriately regulate the realization of the right to self-determination. But, as Jovic said in his book you have quoted here, "they were determined to go to the very end, even at the cost of incidents and conflicts."

I will remind you of a grand Tudjman's speech cited here, when he said that "there would have been no war had Croatia not wanted it". Because without war, without that kind of war, no one could expell half a million Serbs from the territory they populated for centuries. At the time of Croat secession Serbs in Croatia did not request any kind of state, but only autonomy since, up to that moment and according to the Croat own constitution they were a constitutive nation in Croatia, because Croatia was defined as a state of Croat, Serbian and other nations, but they were simply deleted from the Croat constitution [when Tudjman came to power].

So, when the cited Constitution provisions are taken into account, the Yugoslav republics of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia have declared their independence, or their secession through the violation of the Constitution. And being that the secession of these republics was carried out through the armed force, this was an illegal, armed, violent secession. An illegal, armed, violent secession, consequences of which are tens of thousands of deaths, is a crime according to both the internal, Yugoslav, and the international law, as much as the encouragement and aiding of such a horrific act by the side-protagonists is a crime. These are the same ones who are behind this illegal court, the purpose of which is to exonerate them, while shifting the blame from them onto the victims of their crimes. Those victims are among all the Yugoslav nations.

Hague's Former President: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia... Secessions were Illegal

From the point of the international law too, the secession of the former Yugoslav republics was not permitted in the way it was carried out. The confirmation of this regarding the former Yugoslav republics was explicitly offered by Antonio Cassese, the former president of this institution in his monograph dedicated in entirety to the right to self-determination ["Self Determination of People -- a Legal Appraisal", Cambridge University Press, 1995]. On the pages 269 and 270, he pointed out that Yugoslav republics did not have the right to external self-determination, neither by the international law, nor by the internal law. Cassese said in these pages: "As in the case of the 12 Soviet republics, according to the international law, the six Yugoslav republics did not have the right to external self-determination. Also, such right was not provided by the Yugoslav Constitution either. However, unlike the Soviet, Yugoslav Constitution does not contain the provisions which would allow the six republics comprising Yugoslavia to secede." And he also quotes the Yugoslavia Constitution.

Therefore, just like this illegal prosecution in the moment of, I'd say carelessness, pointed out in the quoted paragraphs 79-80 of the so-called Kosovo indictment who actually caused the war in Yugoslavia, the former president of this court, at the time he was still heading this institution, in the same book, on page 273, after assessing that the secessions were illegal, draws the conclusion identical to the one that the so-called prosecution inadvertently slipped into these paragraphs. The Cassese's conclusion is the following, quote: "It is well-known that both in Croatia and in Bosnia-Herzegovina, just like in few of the former Soviet republics, the secession brought back to life the old hatreds and led to horrific bloodshed."

This is true. It is well-known to anyone who wishes and has the minimum of honesty necessary to admit the obvious as a fact. Those who do not have that minimum of honesty, can allow themselves to pervert the obvious and well-known facts into their opposite, unless it happens that the truth sometimes slips out here and there, even to them. Still, one shouldn't forget that having the truth for an ally is a safe guarantee of winning sooner or later. Having the truth for an opponent is the certain path to a humiliating defeat. And everything I am saying is the truth about the bloody dismemberment of Yugoslavia, the internationally recognized state which had the right to survival, according to law, according to the ethics, according to the historical facts, and finally, most importantly, according to the real interest and the genuine wellbeing of all its citizens.

Time does not permit me to present even some of the indispensable facts and conclusions. I hope you will not oppose, when it comes to Kosovo, to consider as the integral part seven White Books of the Yugoslav Government which were also listed as the evidence and submitted, along with the entire documentation, to the regular and legal International Court of Justice in Hague, pertaining to the aggression against Yugoslavia. I will later introduce other documents too.

West's Dishonesty and a Habit to Dishonor Every Agreement Caused Another Catastrophe in Kosovo Province

Regarding Kosovo, I just wish to stress few things which, viewed from present-day perspective, show how correct and valid was the approach by Yugoslavia. What happened and what are the consequences? Only within the first year of the foreign presence in Kosovo and Metohija, actually, from the moment the Yugoslav Army and Serbian police withdrew from this Serbian province in June 1999, on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija in the first year, 5,000 terrorist acts were perpetrated, several thousand people were killed and kidnapped, 150 churches were razed... Gentlemen, if 150 mosques were destroyed in some place, 150 [Roman] Catholic churches, 150 synagogues, the whole world would have been buzzing. All of these crimes were committed under the auspices and protection of the United Nations -- in violation of the UN Resolution, by turning the UN security forces into the occupation forces, in collaboration with the Albanian terrorists.

More than 300,000 inhabitants were expelled under the UN auspices and in collaboration with them. On the other hand, more than 200,000 Albanians, foreign citizens, mostly from Albania and Macedonia, entered the province and moved in. The persecution and terror against everything non-Albanian, and especially against everything Serbian, continued with undiminished fervor to this day. If there is any reduction in the numerical volume of this criminal hysteria, that is only because in Kosovo-Metohija everything that is Serbian and non-Albanian has already been almost entirely cleansed. The little that is left in this southern province of the Serbian republic is too little to satiate this collective thirst for violence. And even this token of the non-Albanian and Serbian leftovers in Kosovo-Metohija has been too much for the chauvinist Albanian hordes. So the new culmination of the anti-Serbian violence, now in almost entirely cleansed of Serbs Kosovo and Metohija, took place on March 17 this year, after the latest authorship coup of your witness here, Halit Barani.

Of course, he is not the only war criminal who was called to testify here. Many war criminals have been testifying here, but this one was proven. This Halit Barani initiated a hysterical mass charge against everything Serbian with his new invented story about the alleged Serbian crime against three Albanian boys who drowned in the river after, supposedly, fleeing from their Serbian chasers. KFOR arrested Barani because of this, following the action of another one of your witnesses, also war criminal and a terrorist Shukri Buya who confirmed here he commanded the UCK unit in Racak. A unit. And that he was the first one to open fire from the heavy machine-gun on the policemen who were approaching the village. And, of course, together with his pogrom-sharing fellows and followers.

Joint Criminal Enterprise Indeed

Or, to use your terminology, this recent, as well as the earlier pogrom of the Serbian and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo and Metohija is, in fact, a result of the joint criminal enterprise of precisely this institution -- these are the witnesses it cooperates with and whose interests it defends here, as well as of those behind them, with the most morbid and most retrograde movement the Europe gave birth to in the recent history.

And, once the events in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are taken into consideration, especially more than obvious continuity between the separatist and nationalist tendencies and movements with their pro-Nazi and extreme predecessors from the time of the WWII, and once the irrational fervor, almost a zeal with which this so-called prosecution tries to support and justify the acts by those who keep trying to revise the results of two world wars and achieve what they couldn't due to their defeat, then a very worrisome conclusion becomes unavoidable, that the joint criminal enterprise of which this institution is a part is much wider, both by a number of participants and by the criminal plan, and both in time span and the territory involved.

To be continued....

"Stolen Kosovo" Documentary Censored in Czech Republic: Suffering of Kosovo Serbs Cannot be Shown on National TV

That there can be no freedom of expression under the dictatorial regimes was confirmed yet again by the state-owned Czech TV, supposedly a "public service" which took part in the financing of the Vaclav Dvorak's documentary "Stolen Kosovo" prior to Czech Government's recognition of the mafia state on Serbian territory, but now, after their FM announced recognition of the fake state, refused to air it.

According to the Czech daily Aktualne, the representatives of the state television justify their refusal to show the one-hour documentary about the suffering of the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija province by claiming the documentary is "unbalanced" and marked with "pro-Serbian bias", so "the tone of the documentary could cause negative emotions". To which Dvorak responded that the same could be said for the "Holocaust documentaries, where the Nazi Germany 'side' and 'views' were also appropriately ignored".

NWO Junk Formulas Used to Cover Up Plain Old Censorship

Prague Protests
"Kosovo is Serbia", the banner carried by the Czech protesters in front of the Government building. Prague, May 29, 2008

The authors of the expertly filmed documentary, who did not hide their disappointment with the state TV's blatant censorship, said that, while the Serbian television archives were used in some segments of the film (like the scenes of NATO bombardment and the footage of the carnage and victims of NATO aggression), not a single penny was received from Serbia or from Serbs for making of the documentary. At the same time, they have challenged the censors hiding behind the New World Order claptrap about "bias" and "balance" -- convenient empty phrases thrown around whenever the truth needs to be smothered -- to point to a single statement, image or a segment that is incorrect or false. An invitation that has, thus far, remained unaddressed.

The film which was first scheduled to be shown on Czech TV on March 17, the anniversary of the latest pogrom against Kosovo-Metohija Serbs in 2004, and than delayed for April, has not been aired yet. After the Czech Government has issued an illegal recognition of the state carved out on the Serbian territory on May 21, it has become certain that the "Stolen Kosovo" documentary has been taken off the broadcast schedule entirely.

Having their work censored by the state TV, the authors took their documentary to the alternative broadcast -- YouTube, where they uploaded their film in six parts and where it has received a wide, predominantly Czech audience. The Czech television is now using that as an additional excuse for banning the documentary, saying that the authors have violated the Czech state TV's right to exclusivity. So, they refuse to air it, but retain the right to be the first to show it, even if they choose never to do so. A kind of logic that fits perfectly in the world where an executioner must get at least the same amount of PR time as it takes to air the unpleasant pictures of his victims.

Meanwhile, the valuable documentary was uploaded in entirety on Google Videos, and we sincerely hope it will soon be available with the English captioning, enabling the full access to a much wider audience.

New Evidence Against Srebrenica Warlord

Cover of Ibran Mustafic's book

Ibran Mustafic: Srebrenica was a "Planned Chaos"

Immediately before the April 1, 2008 discussion before the Appellation Board of the Hague tribunal in the case of Srebrenica warlord, commander of the Bosnian Muslim army stationed in Srebrenica Naser Oric, a written testimony which reveals some of the previously unknown details about the "lord of life and death in war-torn Srebrenica" was published.

Ibran Mustafic, the author of the book "Planned Chaos", for which most Bosnian Muslim leaders wish it was never written, was an MP of the Party of the Democratic Action (SDA, headed by the Bosnian Muslim war leader, Alija Izetbegovic) in the Bosnia-Herzegovina Parliament constituted after the 1990 elections and just before the start of the civil war, and President of the Executive Board of Srebrenica Municipal Assembly.

At the start of the Bosnian civil war he clashed with, as he calls it, "Naser Oric Junta", which resulted in the series of attempts of his assassination. In the third assassination attempt on May 11, 1995, Mustafic was heavily wounded and it was deemed a miracle that he survived. Assaults by Bosnian Muslims against Mustafic became more frequent after his book was published. The latest took place on April 25 this year, when he was attacked and severely beaten by a group of thugs in Srebrenica downtown, in broad daylight.

"They call me a traitor," Mustafic says, "claiming I invented Naser Oric's crimes, but that kind of stupidity doesn't bother me in the least. The purpose of my book was not to defend the Serbs, but I will by no means defend the members of my nation who committed atrocities! Criminals are criminals, regardless of their name and ethnicity. I categorically claim that Naser Oric is a war criminal without a par!"

Atrocious War Crimes Against Srebrenica Serbs

"Planned Chaos" sheds a new light on Srebrenica events during the war and represents first admission and a testimony by a Bosnian Muslim from Srebrenica about Serbian suffering in Srebrenica region. Apart from describing the crimes committed by the Bosnian Muslim army under the command of Naser Oric against the Serbs, Mustafic also testifies about arming of the Bosnian Muslims prior and during the civil war, including the period when Srebrenica was declared a demilitarized zone under the UN protection. He also describes the mutual clashes between Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica municipality, lorded over by the Naser Oric mafia.

According to Mustafic, Srebrenica warlord Naser Oric idolized Ustasha movement from the early youth, choosing his heroes among the notorious Croat Nazi cutthroats Jure Francetic, Kadrija Softic, Nurif Oric and other members of the Ustasha "Black Legion" and Bosnian Muslim 13th SS Handzar Division, indoctrinated with the contempt and hatred against the Serbs.

Despite the overwhelming evidence of widespread atrocities and war crimes committed by Oric and his gang in the town of Srebrenica and surrounding villages populated by the Serbs, the Kangaroo Court in Hague acquitted him of direct involvement in the murder and cruel treatment of Serbs, and of responsibility for the wanton destruction of entire villages, churches, homes and property. While he was convicted of “failing to prevent men under his command to kill and abuse imprisoned Bosnian Serbs,” and sentenced to two years in jail, he was immediately released, since he has already spent three years in the Hague during the charade of a trial.

Naser Oric is a Monster, a War Criminal Without a Par

However, Mustafic's book offers additional evidence about Oric's direct involvement in some of the most macabre war crimes committed on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina during the civil war.

Probably the most shocking chapter of the book is the one with Naser Oric's personal admission of the first Serb he killed by his own hands, murder of the Srebrenica Judge Slobodan Ilic.

"When we took that group captured in Zalazje from [Srebrenica] prison to take them back toward Zalazje, and when the slaying begun, Slobodan Ilic came into my hands. I climbed on his chest. He was bearded and hairy like an animal. He looked at me without saying a word. I took out the bayonet and jabbed it straight into one eye, and then turned it back and forth. He didn't let the single sound out. Then I hit him with the knife in the other eye... I couldn't believe he's not reacting. Frankly, that's when I got scared for the first time, so I cut his throat right after that", Oric described his 'feat' to Mustafic word-for-word during one evening Mustafic visited him.

Oric's admission is followed by the testimony of Mustafic's uncle Ibrahim, who witnessed the same slaughter.

"Naser came over and told me to get ready at once and go with the flag in front of Srebrenica prison. I dressed up and went over. When I came in front of the prison, they took out all those captured in Zalazje and ordered me to drive them towards Zalazje. When we reached the depot, they ordered me to stop and park the truck. I moved to a safe distance. But, when I saw their savagery and when the slaying begun, I felt all the blood drain from my head. When Zulfo (Tursunovic) ripped the knife down the chest of the nurse Rada, while asking her where is her radio-station, I couldn't watch any longer. I came back to Srebrenica on foot from the depot, and they drove the truck over afterwards, which I took from Srebrenica to go home to Potocare. The inside was all bloodied up", Mustafic cites the testimony of his uncle.

The above mentioned medical nurse Rada Milanovic stayed in Srebrenica even after her family moved away. Srebrenica territorial defense headquarters assigned her to medical field group and to a local hospital.

"The Whole Bridge was Floating in Serbian Blood"

Mustafic also recounted other crimes against the Serbs from the town of Srebrenica which were more or less well known. He mentioned that, after the assault against the village Jezestica "Kemo from Pale [near Sarajevo] was carrying a severed head around with him, scaring people".

The murder of the Stjepanovic family is also described. Stjepanovic family members were taken out of their apartment in the Srebrenica Battalion Street by Oric's butchers in July 1992, and taken to nearby Potocare.

"Andjelija Stjepanovic (74) and her son Mihajlo (50) were among those brutally slain then. One Bosnian Muslim from Potocari described afterwards how the whole bridge where these poor people were slaughtered was literally swimming in blood. The killer of Stjepanovic family is Kemo Mehmedovic from Pale, Naser's loyal follower in atrocities. The executioner today lives in Austria, and there are tons of similar examples from Srebrenica. It is a shame that not one of these monsters in the human form have faced responsibility for their crimes, and their main organizer and the one who ordered them to kill, Naser Oric, is today parading in freedom," commented one of a handful of Bosnian Serb civilians who survived the hell of Srebrenica imprisonment.

The previously little known details about the torture and murder of the severely ill Krsto Dimitrovski and his wife Velinka, from Srebrenica, were also revealed in Mustafic's book, charging Ejub Golic, former commander of the "Independent Hill Battalion" from the village Glogovo. Golic was freed of charges raised against him for this crime.

Hague Tribunal Rewards Bosnian Muslim War Criminals

Apart from recounting these and many other savage tortures and murders of the Serbs who had the misfortune to remain in the town of Srebrenica occupied by Oric's butchers, Mustafic also describes how his testimony against the Srebrenica Muslim monsters in the Hague tribunal was turned down, and why he had no opportunity to tell the court what really went on in "Srebrenica safehaven" before General Mladic took the town over.

"I was, indeed, called to testify before the Hague tribunal as a Prosecution witness [in the trial against Oric], and I believe I was supposed to be the last witness for the Prosecution. After three days spent in the preparatory procedure, there was a major clash between the Prosecution representative and myself. First of all, the indictment against Naser was entirely ridiculous. He was charged for the things he wasn't guilty of, but not for any of the things he was guilty for. Secondly, the Hague tribunal was more and more starting to look like Carla Del Ponte's parade, so a number of processes turned into circus. Finally, I was most offended when they tried to blackmail me, by threatening me with up to seven years' imprisonment or the 200,000 Euros fine. I couldn't stay silent when I saw that paper, and I told the prosecutor: 'That's right! the whole purpose of me coming here to testify was to actually get a more severe punishment than Erdemovic [another Bosnian Muslim war criminal], who was rewarded by the Hague tribunal for admitting he personally took part in over 140 murders!' After all that, when I came in front of the courtroom, I was waiting for two hours, but they finally informed me that the Judges decided not to let me testify and that I can go back home," Mustafic wrote.

Srebrenica as a Safehaven for War Criminals, Thugs and Mafia

Regarding the situation in the "Srebrenica safehaven", Mustafic wrote that, when the region was declared a demilitarized zone and placed under the UN protection, there were no "provocations" by the Bosnian Serb Army. Despite that, according to Mustafic, Oric's Muslim troops kept digging the trenches around the town of Srebrenica and, alongside the humanitarian aid, weapons were being delivered to the "demilitarized zone" -- all in the plain sight of the Dutch UNPROFOR battalion.

Mustafic writes that, even though the boards were placed around the town of Srebrenica declaring it a "Demilitarized zone, every military operation is strictly prohibited, Article 60, Protocol 1 of Geneva Convention", delivery of weapons, ammunition, uniforms and explosives was never interrupted. The military equipment, despite the UN Resolution prohibiting the flights over Bosnia and Herzegovina, was delivered by helicopters. Likewise, the agreement signed by General Ratko Mladic on the Bosnian Serb side and Sefer Halilovic on the side of Bosnian Muslims, stipulating that "not a single soldier who finds himself within, or wishes to enter the demilitarized zone, except for UNPROFOR members, is permitted to carry arms, explosives, or ammunition", was deemed completely worthless by the Bosnian Muslim Srebrenica troops.

Mustafic writes that there were 18 flights carrying weapons, with most of deliveries carried out at the time Srebrenica, as a supposedly demilitarized zone, was under UN Peace Corps protection [UNPROFOR].

Mustafic lays a great deal of blame upon the Dutch troops stationed in Srebrenica, claiming they were fully aware about all the violations daily committed by the Oric's gang, but chose to silently observe, hoping to pass their service unscathed.

"Obviously, the Dutch accepted to patrol the lines together with our troops only in order to take responsibility off themselves, and to show the world that Srebrenica was not a demilitarized zone. Indeed, at the time, the Dutch battalion which was supposed to have some 600 troops, had around 250 soldiers, while [Oric's] 28th division was comprised of 5,500 allegedly demilitarized men," Mustafic wrote.

"When the battles for Srebrenica begun, one of our thugs, probably on order, killed a soldier from the Dutch battalion. This helped dissolve the entire system of Dutch responsibility," Mustafic revealed.

Foundation of the Muslim State Sealed by the Sacrificial Blood of the Innocent

He also notes that Srebrenica Muslim troops kept staging ambushes from the UN "safehaven", killing the members of the Bosnian Serb Army, and that they used the Srebrenica protected status to launch assaults against the surrounding Serbian villages, such as the raid under the Oric's commanders Ekrem Salihovic and Ibrahim Mandzic of the Bosnian Serb village Visnjica, where they killed civilians and torched the village.

"When I told Madzic that such attacks would justify the Bosnian Serb Army attack on Srebrenica, he said: 'This was not an action initiated by us. We received the orders from Sarajevo'," Mustafic testifies, adding that he later learned that "the order for the attacks on Serbian villages around Srebrenica was signed by General Enver Hadzihasanovic [of the Bosnian Muslim army, from their Sarajevo HQ].... Clearly, they wanted to provoke the response, to solve the Srebrenica problem".

However, it turned out that the "problem" Bosnian Muslim leaders and their foreign sponsors wanted solved was far more profound than the issue of one town in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and that is how to take over the rule over the entire Bosnian republic after the destruction of Yugoslavia, even though Bosnian Muslims are just one of three large nations living in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and even today not a majority. The only way they thought this could be done, was if Bosnian Serbs were entirely exterminated or, failing that, if the entire Serbian nation is pinned with charges of "genocide", which would enable the complete assimilation of all the Serb-owned land and property in state.

Ibran Mustafic confirmed this claim back in July 1996:

"According to our [Bosnian Muslim] custom, when someone finishes the foundation for a house, an animal must be slaughtered on top of it. It seems that Srebrenica was a sacrificial lamb for the foundation of this [Muslim] state."

Shameful Behavior of the Czech Government

Schwarzenberg with war criminal
He's not only rude and dishonest, he's also ignorant: Karel Schwarzenberg with war criminal Thaci in Pristina, January 15, 2008. Czech FM promised to recognize the mafia state on Serbian territory during this congregation with Albanian terrorists.

Jiri Dienstibier: Kosovo "Independence" is Another Munich

The wave of Czech indignation over their government's sudden decision to recognize mafia state carved up on Serbian territory has not subsided days after the Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg announced the decision.

After Czech President Vaclav Klaus went public to state he was ashamed over the treacherous move by the government, Jiri Dienstibier, a renowned intellectual and Czech Republic's former Minister of Foreign Affairs, wrote a scathing condemnation of the government's announcement, denying Schwarzenberg's claims that they "had no other recourse" but to issue an illegal recognition of a fake state.

"There was no pressure on the Czech Government to recognize independence. The European Union allowed each member to decide about this issue, according to their circumstances and the international law", Dienstibier wrote for Czech daily on May 26.

He reminded the government that the 1975 Helsinki Final Act, according to which the borders in Europe cannot be changed unless there is a mutual agreement between the parties in question, is still in force, just like the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which clearly states that Kosovo province is an integral part of Serbia.

"This Resolution cannot be annulled, among others, also due to the entirely practical reasons. The UN civil administration, as well as the KFOR units were sent to Kosovo province precisely on the basis of this Resolution, and that includes Czech troops who would have no legal basis for their engagement without the Resolution 1244," Dienstibier wrote.

Dienstibier, who until recently served as a UN Human Rights Special Envoy in Serbian province, noted it was "a bitter irony" that the Czech Government decided to issue illegal recognition in the town of Teplice, in the Czech Sudetenland region which, prior to the post-war deportations, was populated mainly by Germans. In 1938, in Munich, Sudetenland was handed over to Nazi Germany by the Western powers, in hopes this chunk of prey would satisfy Adolf Hitler's appetites and help avert the WWII.

In his latest commentary, Dienstibier dubbed the recognition of Kosovo independence a "copy of Munich", accusing the government it has violated not only the will of Czech citizens and Parliament Members, but also the Czech foreign policy priorities.

"Contributing to the Kosovo province transformation does not necessitate independence recognition. We do not recognize Taiwan as an independent state either, but our relations with them are nevertheless positive."

Czech Intellectuals Seek FM's Replacement Over Kosovo Province Recognition

According to Tanjug, prominent Czech professors, scientists and publicists submitted a petition to the Foreign Affairs Board of the Czech Republic Parliament, accusing the government of issuing "Illegal recognition of Serbian Kosovo province", and seeking replacement of Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg.

Petition Board, headed by Professor Rajko Dolacek, assessed that the Czech Government "acted dishonorably and dishonestly" in regards to Pristina separatists' unilaterally declared independence, stressing that the government wanted to avoid discussion about the violation of the basic principles of the international law and the international ethics, so without prior announcement, it simply stated its decision, which is now deemed unalterable.

"The main culprit here is Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg, who already back in January suggested the recognition of the quasi-state of Kosovo", the petition states. In January, Schwarzenberg visited Pristina, where he held private talks with war criminal Hashim Thaci.

Day of Recognition, a Day of Shame

Czech intellectuals consider the day when Prague Government recognized unilateral independence by Pristina separatists "a day of shame" for the Czech diplomacy, and therefore, "a day of shame for Minister Schwarzenberg, and partly for those members of the Government who supported the recognition."

Assessing that the Czech Republic behaved as a "vassal state", petition reminds that in the earlier appeal, signed by more than 2,600 Czechs, Schwarzenberg was criticized for falsely interpreting the situation in the southern Serbian province and for using a highly suspicious argumentation in support of theory that Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohija is a "unique case".

"The UN Security Council did not annul the Resolution 1244. Therefore, Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia. By recognizing its independence, our Government and a score of other governments are insulting the United Nations and violating their Resolution", the Czech intellectuals wrote.

They pointed out that government has decided to disregard the resolution earlier adopted by the Foreign Affairs Board, which stressed that solution of Kosovo province issue which would contribute to the European and the world safety, must be in accordance with the international law and the Resolution 1244.

They also asked if Minister Schwarzenberg is aware how tragic is the life for non-Albanians in Kosovo province, being that they live in ghettos, without possibility for education, employment and medical treatment.

"His [Schwarzenberg's] contempt for the principles of the international ethics and law, and for the Resolution 1244, and his lack of knowledge about the Balkan issues are disqualifying him as the minister of foreign affairs and as a politician. This is why we are proposing that he should be recalled from that position", the petition by the prominent Czech intellectuals concludes.

The Blood Trail Leads to Kouchner

Bernard Kouchner
Is Dr. Kouchner Europe's present-day Dr. Mengele?

Organ Extraction Atrocities: The Blood Trail Leads to Sarkozy's Foreign Minister

The spokesman of the Serbian War Crimes Tribunal Bruno Vekaric told Vecernje Novosti the War Crimes Prosecution is in possession of the informations according to which numerous criminal charges have been brought up against one UNMIK [United Nations Mission in Kosovo] official for trafficking internal organs of Serbs kidnapped in Kosovo-Metohija province, and also earlier, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vekaric explained that the official charged for the most macabre crimes of extracting organs from the healthy young Serbs for sale was a forensic expert within the UNMIK, who has since fled to South America.

Vekaric said that the Prosecution has evidence that UNMIK had opened an investigation about the human organ trafficking in the Serbian province at some point, but that they are not given access to the documentation which would allow them to learn the results of UNMIK's investigation.

"We have requested the investigation results from UNMIK, as well as the information from Albania, of which our Prosecution requested to launch an investigation about trafficking with human organs in Albanian north, and whose prosecutor was on the terrain," Vekaric said.

He added that the Prosecution thus far has not discovered evidence against the first UNMIK chief Bernard Kouchner, currently France's Foreign Affairs Minister, suspected of involvement in the atrocious crime chain.

Bernard Kouchner is being pointed to as the key person responsible for the gruesome crimes against the kidnapped Serbs and other non-Albanians, revealed by the former Hague tribunal chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte in her recently published book "The Hunt, Me and War Criminals".

Sarkozy's Foreign Minister is also charged by the members of the Serbian investigative teams formed earlier, within the state's Kosovo-Metohija Coordinating Center, as well as by the families of the Serbs kidnapped and missing from the province since the 1998-1999 war.

"All the roads from the very start, from the very idea [of extracting the organs from Serbs kidnapped by the terrorist KLA], down to the transport of the organs and the sale to the rich clientèle in Europe and United States, lead to Bernard Kouchner. At the time of the wars [in former Yugoslavia] he was one of the founders of the allegedly humanitarian organization 'Doctors Without Borders', which was later operating in Kosovo too", the Novosti source from the Kosovo province police said.

"The right conditions for realizing the whole idea were created when Kouchner became the head of the UN Mission in Kosovo and Metohija [right after the NATO aggression against Serbia ended, in the summer of 1999]. This has enabled him, with the UNMIK police aid, to thwart all the investigations that were undertaken at the time by the representatives of the Serbian state. Serbian officials were an inch away from the kidnapped Serbs and non-Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija on a number of occasions, but were always prevented from reaching them", the members of the former investigative teams of the state's Coordinating Center for the province said.

UNMIK Prevented Search of the KLA Secret Concentration Camps when Kidnapped Serbs were Still Alive

"This is why not a single search had produced any results, even though many of the kidnapped were still alive at the time, and were imprisoned in Kosovo and Metohija", Serbs who were leading the investigations after the war said, adding that the whole "business" took place in the years 2000 and 2001, when Kosovo Albanian butchers held Serbs in the numerous concentration camps and prisons throughout Kosovo province, and when the Western officials, including Kouchner, have already been firmly established in the southern Serbian province, through their various institutions under the NATO and UN umbrella.

Milorad Pejcinovic, leader of the Serbian investigative team assigned with the task of finding the secret makeshift prisons and concentration camps in Kosovo and Metohija, said that there can be no doubt UNMIK has been purposely thwarting every single investigation.

"There is no question that every serious search of our team has been thwarted by the UNMIK police, claiming that the locations for which we had solid evidence that they contain our kidnapped people, are not safe. Whenever we would come within an inch of uncovering them, UNMIK police would forbid us to move further, claiming that the Albanians have learned about our intentions and that our lives are at stake," Pejcinovic said.

He revealed that the UNMIK police was also preventing every individual attempt by the families to find their kidnapped loved ones, telling them that they must have a court order to enter certain locations, which "served to provide sufficient time for the Albanians who held kidnapped Serbs imprisoned to move them to other locations".

"The biggest problem was the fact that Albanians had their men in UNMIK, who would inform them about each of our intentions to search the terrain. The same thing happened during one of the most complex searches which lasted three days. When we came to the entryway of one of the secret locations, UNMIK ordered us to turn back, because 'they can't guarantee our safety'," Serbian investigators said.

According to Novosti, the Protocol on the joint investigative teams searching for the KLA secret prisons and concentration camps in Kosovo and Metohija was signed between the Serbian state institution officials and UNMIK only on October 5, 2001. This document was signed upon the insistence of the families of the missing and kidnapped Serbs, and also members of other non-Albanian ethnic groups, based on the series of findings about the existence of such locations in the southern Serbian province, which cropped all over the province during and after the war instigated by the terrorist KLA. However, according to the representatives of the Serbian state Coordinating Team for Kosovo-Metohija, this Protocol has not been honored by the UNMIK, which "first and foremost, failed to respect the confidentiality of the informations".

The Truth Shall Never Go Away 4

Slobodan Milosevic Street
On Sunday, "Zoran Djindjic Boulevard" in Belgrade was pasted over with posters reading "Slobodan Milosevic Street". The action of the youth group was interpreted as a signal that Socialists Tadic's DS incessantly courts will demand full rehabilitation of their party founder and president of Serbia and Yugoslavia.

Archduke Assassination Used as a Pretext to Try to Wipe Serbia Off the Map

Part 4 of late President Slobodan Milosevic's opening statement at the Hague, August 31, 2004 (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3)

[Continuing the expose on Germanic bloc's efforts to destroy Serbia since before the WWI] Here's one more quotation from the German archives, which reveals what the German ambassador conveyed to his government, regarding the content of his conversation with Count Berthold, Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister. Minister said, according to the ministerial archives, that he considers it his duty not to leave the German Government unaware of the seriousness of the position of the monarchy. "The Southern Slavic issue, in the sense of the unhindered possession of the provinces populated by Southern Slavs, is the vital issue for the monarchy, as well as for the Three-Sided Pact [Trojni Pakt]. The Southern Slavic provinces of the monarchy cannot be held against the country such as Serbia, which is superior in the Balkans. Accordingly, the monarchy could be forced to undertake an intervention, in case Serbia defeats Bulgaria and conquers the territories beyond the territory of the old Serbia. To my question what does he think would be the right time for that intervention, the minister noted that the opportune psychological moment could be found."

And the pretext showed up soon after — the assassination, the well-known Sarajevo assassination, when Gavrilo Princip, member of the organization Young Bosnia [Mlada Bosna], assassinated the Austro-Hungarian heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand. The fact that 20 young men took part in the conspiracy and the assassination, members of both Serbian, Croat and Muslim nationality, is never even mentioned. This was that Young Bosnia. Although no involvement of the Kingdom of Serbia in this assassination was ever established, it was Serbia and Serbian nation that were immediately accused, while in Austro-Hungary and Germany a tsunami of total anti-Serbian hysteria was launched.

In the already quoted book, Ambassador Harman says: "A fierce anti-Serbian campaign was launched in Austro-Hungary and Germany, which overshadowed everything seen by then, and it motivated the German ambassador to London, Duke Karl Max von Lichnovsky to remind the German State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gottlieb von Jagow, that the entire Serbian nation, as the nation of evil and murderers, must be branded." He is obviously jeopardizing your copyright on this indictment here and its approach. And for few decades already.

So, in fact, the essence and the meaning of that evil above all evils, the Greater Serbia, is something no one wished to examine or go into. It has been adopted so arrogantly and with such ease, that it is being used here as well. No-one has investigated its meaning, background, the origins, because had they done so, this whole propaganda exercise would burst like a soap bubble.

It is well-known that on July 23, 1914, an Austro-Hungarian ultimatum was delivered to the Serbian Government, after the false accusations about the involvement of Serbian state in the assassination. Serbia was conditioned with the series of demands no sovereign state in the world could have accepted. Shocked with the text of this ultimatum, non-fulfillment of which was expected and the only purpose of which was to actually cause a war, the same way as in Rambouillet, but entirely shocked back then, British Minister of Foreign Affairs Sir Edward Grey characterized that text as, I'm quoting Grey, "the most shocking document diplomacy has ever produced".

Series of the Most Shocking Ultimatums to Serbia Follow the 1914 One

The most shocking document diplomacy has ever produced. Grey probably never could have imagined that in the same century, Serbian nation and Serbian state will be exposed to a whole series of similar, and perhaps even more brazen and more shocking ultimatums and that his country, Great Britain, will share the authorship of those new ultimatums with Germany, Austria and some other Western states, including some of the Serbian allies from his time, like France and, somewhat later, United States. Just as it would share the authorship and participation in the realization of the murderous conquests against Serbian nation towards the end of 20th century, conducted through the unscrupulous lies which will be dismantled here publicly and clearly, through the merciless economic sanctions and finally bestial military assaults against their former Serbian allies, whose greatest sin consisted of attempts to protect their state and their people, and preserve what was acquired through great hardships, with the help of the allies in two world wars. It is hard to imagine the kind of shame Sir Edward Grey would have felt if he knew about the great role his country played in sealing the decade-long crime committed through all those events toward the Serbian nation at the end of 20th century — the role which is being acted out precisely here, in front of this institution, formed through the flagrant violation of the international law and the basic human ethics.

Because it might be the very resolution by which this illegal tribunal was established that Sir Edward Grey would define as "the most shocking document diplomacy has ever produced."

Instead of "Greater Serbia" it was Offered, Serbia Chose to Drown its Statehood in a Common State with Croats and Slovenes

It is well known how the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes was established, the Kingdom which was later given the name Yugoslavia, as a common state of Southern Slavic nations, creation of which the Germanic bloc fiercely wanted to prevent. And, as the part of failure from the First World War, and afterwards the Second, it was designated to be wiped off the face of the earth. The old myth of Greater Serbia remained, as one of propaganda tools for obscuring reality and covering up one's own crimes by someone else's invented sin.

It is precisely here, in this institution, where that very lie of Greater Serbia has found its natural roots and grew up into a monstrous creation of unprecedented magnitude. To make the irony and the absurdity even greater, and so that the lies and the injustice against Serbian nation are made even more horrific and malicious in contrast to their Balkan neighbors, it was in fact only the Serbian nation in that part of the world which, even though it had ample opportunities, and much better opportunities than the others, has not been trying to extend its state. It is well known that, in 1915, Serbia's allies have offered Serbia through the London Agreement, to expand its territories after the victory in the war onto Bosnia and Herzegovina, part of Dalmatia and Slavonia [present-day Croatia], and so on. All this is well documented. Serbia chose not to do so. Instead, Serbia accepted and embraced Serbs and Croats and Slovenians alike from the former Austro-Hungarian territory, and that is how the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes came to life, which would later be called Yugoslavia.

Now, this choice of Serbian Kingdom to create a common Yugoslav state, instead of Serbian state, has in this way offered a protection to Slovenian and Croat brothers from territorial fragmentation and turned them, from the parts of the defeated state, into the members of the victorious camp. But, despite this, since the last throes of the rotting Hapsburg monarchy until today, Serbs have remained branded as the Greater Serbia nationalists. This historical falsification is being kept alive all the while.

German Verdict: Serbia Must Die!

In order to understand the whole issue, it is useful to take a look at the other side of the World War I front. Namely, in 1915, German theoretician Friedrich Naumann published his book "Middle Europe" ("Mitell Europa"), where he laid out a project of reorganization of Europe. This was, of course, at the time it was expected that Germans will win the war. The reorganization of Europe meant creation of Greater Germany which would encompass the entire Central Europe, and which would be surrounded by the small weak states Naumann calls 'the satellite states'. These satellites of Greater Germany would be completely dependent on the great and powerful German state. Naumann doesn't mention Serbia even as a satellite state, because according to him, quote: "Serbia, as the fortress which is an obstacle in this part of the world, must be wiped off the map."

Let me stress that this creator of the Greater Germany project, which presupposes wiping Serbia off the map, in accordance with the anti-Serbian propaganda waged at the time under the notorious slogan "Serbia must die" -- "Serbien mus terbien", with an 'i' added to the word "treben", so that it rhymes with "Serbie" -- this theoretician is regarded as an the ideologue of the German Liberal Party [FDP, Die Liberalen], a political party which has long served to balance the German political scene and which, for more than two decades, has held in its hands the German foreign policy at the time of Genscher and Kinkel. The same Kinkel who in 1993 felt compelled to reveal the concept of German revision of historical processes, and who said: "Towards the outside world, something Germany has failed to do twice, must be accomplished."

German Present-Day Liberals Uphold Naumann's Death Sentence to Serbia

The importance German Liberals, especially the two mentioned leaders of German diplomacy, attach to the ideas and work of Friederich Naumann is best exemplified in the fact that the Liberal Party's Foundation is called the Friederich Naumann Foundation -- "Friederich Naumann Stiftung". The same name was also given to the party's headquarters, while the loyal and pedantic following in the vital issues is best reflected in the mindlessly destructive Genscher's and Kinkel's diplomatic efforts in regards to Yugoslavia and Serbia, and in the drive to confirm and ensure German domination in Europe through the fragmentation of the Central Europe and East Europe, which is precisely what took place. You have an example of Czechoslovakia, not to mention the example of destruction of USSR, the leading winning power in the World War II.

When Serbia, sentenced to death in this perverted approach by the exponents of the Greater Germany hegemonic tendencies, drowned its statehood in the newly formed state of Southern Slavs, denying by this act in a most eloquent way the propaganda about the Greater Serbia aspirations, it was only natural for this death sentence to be carried onto the newly formed state, Yugoslavia.

Two War Criminals, Hitler and Clinton, Share the Same Views on Serbs

It is well known that in Serbia, in protest of its government's decision to form a pact with Hitler's alliance, the massive demonstrations erupted which have overturned the government. At that time, Winston Churchill said: "Yugoslavia found its soul again." This was said on the one side, the side of the Allies; on the other side, on the very day the attack against Yugoslavia was launched, Hitler said that his military assault on Serbia was, quote, "directed against the very same criminal clique, the very same creatures who, through the assassination in Sarajevo, pushed the world into the unspeakable misery."

The claim incredibly reminiscent of the one a new fuhrer uttered 58 years later, ahead of the new round of bombardment of Serbia and Yugoslavia. Namely, Bill Clinton, then-President of the United States, while explaining to the American TV audience the decision to start, as he called it "the air campaign" against Yugoslavia, on the night of March 24 [1999], stressed: "No, the Serbs did not only cause the World War I, no -- without them, there would have been no holocaust either." So much for the knowledge and acknowledgment of history by these two criminals.

Germany Recycles Goebbels Propaganda for Present-Day Wars

It remains written in the German archives, from the Hitler's meeting: "The Fuhrer is determined to destroy Yugoslavia militarily and as a state." This part on "destroying Yugoslavia as a state" can be easily linked with the report notorious by the evilness and cynicism, by then-President of the SFRJ [Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia] Presidency Stjepan Mesic, given to the Croat parliament on December 5, 1991. Quote: "Thank you for honoring me with your trust to fight for the interests of Croatia in the part assigned to me. I believe I have performed my task: Yugoslavia is no more."

As far as these efforts and the crime which was committed against Yugoslavia, just like against the other countries that were the subject of the assault, prior to the attack against Yugoslavia, directives were given for propaganda issues in Germany. Ambassador Ralf Hartman speaks about the familiar, traditional outlines of the German propaganda for the Balkans. These outlines are as follows: "a) German opponent is exclusively the Serbian Government which fanned the flames of struggle against Germany; b) Since the Serbs implemented a ruthless dictatorship primarily against the Croats and Macedonians" -- all of which is entirely absurd, "they are to be clearly made aware that the German Vehrmacht is not coming to their country as an enemy of the Croats, Bosnians and Macedonians. Furthermore, in this way, they [Croats, Bosnians and Macedonians] will be protected from the slaughter by the Serbian chauvinists."

German Willing Satellite, Croatia, Also Preserves the Old Course

And protection "from the slaughter by the Serbian chauvinists" in the German puppet creation of Independent State of Croatia [NDH] has resulted in the genocide against the Serbs, Jews and Gypsies which, on the territory of that monstrous state, exterminated a million of Serbs, more than half of whom were driven to death through the most horrific sufferings. This gruesome undertaking was certainly aided by the Joseph Goebbels directive, which later remained alive and still active in the German political practice, "the Croats should be flattered so that they fan the hatred against the Serbs".

It is more than obvious to what extent this same approach was employed in the German relation towards the Balkans at the end of 20th century. But the continuity of the invariable German policy is perhaps best illustrated by the following statement by the Croat fuhrer Ante Pavelic from 1941: "I am fully aware that we owe gratitude for the freedom of Croatia exclusively to the power of Fuhrer, Reich and Europe". This continuity is particularly visible once this statement is compared with the musical one, "Danke Deutchland", from the end of 1991 and the beginning of 1992 [a Croat hit-song], or with the Stjepam Mesic's assurances of the especially significant role Genscher and Pope John Paul II played in dismembering Yugoslavia.

Vatican: Serbia Must be Destroyed as the Orthodoxy Stronghold

When it comes to the second key international participant, according to Mesic, in destruction of Yugoslavia -- the Holy See, it is also characterized by both the historical continuity in the anti-Yugoslav orientation and activities, on the one hand, and by the stability of the alliance with those who fought against the creation of Yugoslavia, before and after the WWI and who fought throughout its existence, especially in WWII against it, on the other.

The deep roots of this policy of Vatican and its anti-Serbian warmongering activities are attested by the following quotation from the report Austro-Hungarian envoy to the Holy See wrote in Vienna, back in July 27, 1914 -- before the war was declared against Serbia. Describing his conversation with the Cardinal's State Secretary Marie Del Vallo, he said, quote: "During the past year, His Holiness expressed several times its regret that Austro-Hungary has failed to punish its dangerous Danube neighbors. The Pope and the Curate regard Serbia as a putrid disease, which is slowly eating away the marrow of the monarchy, causing it to become extinguished. For the church, the destruction of this bastion would represent the loss of the firmest stronghold in its struggle against the Orthodoxy, and the loss of their strongest veterans. The Cardinal's State Secretary expressed hope that the monarchy will go all the way, to the end."

So, according to the official Vatican position, Serbia was to be destroyed in order to strengthen the Austro-Hungarian Empire as the geopolitical support of the Roman Catholic church in that part of the world, and especially as its base for spreading to the East. It is more than evident to what extent all of this is entirely removed from the Christ's teachings, but it is also more than evident how much all of this is connected with the "teachings" Hitler was spreading two decades later, obsessed with the insane and blood-soaked idea about his own divine mission to achieve the German "Drang nach Osten".

Genocide Against the Serbs in Hitler's Satellite Croatia Unprecedented

This is why it was not surprising that the alliance of the Holy See, headed by the Pope Pius XII, with the Axis powers, headed by Hitler, was very easily established. In Croatia, this alliance was implemented through the close ties of the Roman Catholic church with Pavelic's Independent State of Croatia. Pavelic's Minister of Education Mile Budak stated in Gospic: "We shall destroy part of the Serbs, expell the other part and convert the others to the [Roman] catholicism, turning them into Croats. In this way, we shall eradicate their traces and the only thing that shall remain, will be a bad memory of them."

Professor Edmund Paris in his book "Genocide in Satellite Croatia 1941-1945", [published in] Chicago 1961, said that the "greatest genocide during World War II, in proportion to nation's population, took place not in Nazi Germany but in Nazi-created puppet state of Croatia."

Professor Helen Fein in her book "Accounting for Genocide", New York, The Free Press, 1979, said that Croatia, quote, "The Croat state planned and executed massacres against the Serbian Orthodox minority and Catholic clergy approved these massacres". According to the Encyclopedia of the Holocaust, pages 323-328, quote: "In the Independent State of Croatia more than half a million Serbs were killed, a quarter million were expelled and another 200,000 were forced to convert to Roman Catholicism".

Vatican and USA Rescue of Croat Ustashas the Best Kept Secret of 20th Century

The genocide against the Serbian population in NDH is one of the best kept secret of 20th century, as concealed as the rescue of the Ustasha criminals to avoid facing justice, conducted through the cooperation of Vatican, United States and the other Western states. In fact, after the defeat of the Axis powers in the WWII, and the Ustasha NDH along its side, the Roman Catholic church played the extremely important and extremely sinister role together with the American and British secret services, in organizing and conducting the rescue and fleeing abroad -- primarily to the South, but also North America -- of the large number of Ustashas, especially the highest ranking ones, including Fuhrer Ante Pavelic himself.

The reasons for the rescue of Ustashas and the other Nazis, and their organized transfer through the Vatican "Ratlines", was the interest shared by the USA and Vatican to fight against the USSR and the communist threat in which no methods were spared. Apart from that, Vatican also wanted to rescue the criminals, the loyal Roman Catholics it gave its blessing to during the war. This rescue of the criminals and concealment of the crimes was also a consequence of the fear that, in case the role of Vatican and Pope Pius XII in the WWII crimes was publicly revealed, the communists could win the elections in some of the main Roman Catholic countries in Europe, where the communists had strong support after the war, especially in France and Italy. These criminals were later used to weaken the communist countries in Europe and to carry out terrorist actions.

Vatican Finally Succeeds to Establish a Secret Alliance with the US Leadership

Vatican's constant efforts to establish the closest possible ties with the main Western power among the WWII winners, the United States, was finally rewarded at the beginning of the 1980s, when after the meeting between Reagan and Pope, the only thing that was leaked to the public was that they talked about the solutions adopted in Yalta in 1945. What followed was the series of meetings in the presence of the associates, in the course of which the strong ties were established, the kind of ties Richard Allen, White House Security Adviser, characterized as one of the most secret alliances of all times. There is a book by Carl Bernstein... [statement interrupted by the judge]

About the nature of this alliance, Professor Smilja Avramov said the following in her book "Opus Dei": "Even though the three fervent Roman Catholics [Zbigniew] Brzezinski, [William] Casey and [Vernon] Walters prepared the ground for alliance forming while having in mind the Roman Catholic imperative, even though President Reagan placed the Roman Catholic activists to the most prominent post in the administration -- for example, Alexander Haig, whose own brother was a bishop -- it would be wrong to claim that the Roman Catholic faith was the decisive factor in the United States policy of that period. The US Administration did not see the expression of the religion in the alliance, but the power of the church as an institution placed within the realpolitik context.

"Washington instrumentilized the Holy See, i.e. the Roman Catholic church, in the same way it will, a while later, try to do with the Islam. Through this alliance, the geopolitical map of the world was reshaped, the style in conducting policies was changed, and a clero-political bloc was created as a decisive factor in the US foreign policy, which will have the most fatal consequences for Yugoslavia."

The cited words of the intellectuals regarding the key role the Holy See plays in the global changes are also confirmed by Mikhail Gorbachev, who told the Italian La Stampa on March 3, 1992: "Everything that happened in the East Europe during the past years could not have been possible without the involvement of the Pope John Paul II".

In those few years, in East Europe, Yugoslavia was being dismembered in the pool of blood, the very state Vatican wanted to prevent from being created during the WWI and destruction of which and the great bloodshed which followed that destruction it already took part in once before, by supporting Hitler and the Ustasha state and Ustasha crimes during the WWII.

Pope John Paul II Justifies Ethnic Cleansing of Serbs from Croatia, Calling it a "Humanitarian Intervention"

The policy of Vatican towards Serbia has been shaped, as shown by the cited letter from 1914, from before the time Yugoslavia was formed. After the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes was created in 1918, this multi-confessional state was labeled as the main obstacle to spreading the Roman Catholicism to the east. Apart from that, Vatican viewed Balkans as its key region for proselytizing. Due to all this, the policy of Pope John Paul II and of the Roman Catholic church in general during this pope's reign towards Yugoslavia represented only the final phase of the activities of the Roman Catholic church in destroying Yugoslavia. I will skip the series of examples of the meetings held in 1991 and 1992 which confirmed this, but I will include this in the submitted text, because the time doesn't permit me to quote all this.

After recognizing Slovenia and Croatia, and then also Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vatican suddenly switched to a peace-making policy, expressing, in 1994, a desire for pope to visit Zagreb, Belgrade and Sarajevo. The expulsion of Serbs from the territories in Croatia they populated for centuries, in the "Storm" and "Flash" operations, the Vatican diplomacy dubbed the "recapturing of the territories", and I will remind you that Lord Owen has stated that Operation Storm was the biggest ethnic cleansing on the territory of former Yugoslavia.

On October 19, 1995, in regards to that, pope said that in certain situations the use of force is not ruled out if this is necessary for defense of the justified right of one nation. In such situations, at issue is a "humanitarian intervention" for protection of human lives. No human lives were threatened at the time, nor were there any attacks from the territories of UN protected zones of Krajina [Serbian region in Croatia] to the surrounding areas. Unlike, for example, another UN protected zone of Srebrenica, from which during all those years the attacks were continuously conducted resulting in hundreds of Serbian villages being razed to the ground, Serbian population slaughtered and their villages burned.

US Army Chaplain: Vatican Responsible for the Bloodshed in Former Yugoslavia

A retired chaplain in the US Army, Colonel Biegler, said in Pittsburgh on January 1999 that the Vatican is guilty for all the misery that took place in the territory of Yugoslavia and that he had personally seen the Vatican bank accounts, confirming that the Roman Catholic church, together with the German Government, has destabilized Yugoslavia and instigated a decade of bloodshed. Biegler said that Vatican had 'pumped in' millions of dollars to separatists in Yugoslavia, and that the Roman Catholic church was very active in the events which took place in Croatia and Slovenia.

It is well known that Vatican and the press supported Albanian demonstrations in Kosovo and Metohija in 1989, and the same was done by the Ljubljana and Zagreb archbishops. During the visit to Albania in 1994, Pope supported demands of Albanian separatists in Kosovo and Metohija. Pope was the first to request the energetic action against Serbia in 1998, and then turned into a peace-maker once again, first on March 30, when he called the meeting of the ambassadors of the NATO member states and the Security Council, to start the initiative for ending the war against Yugoslavia. In April 1, he wrote the first letter to Clinton, asking to stop the bombing during the Easter holiday.

Once all these Vatican activities aimed at destruction of Yugoslavia are taken into account, pope's message on March 12, 2000, sounds frightfully insincere: "We cannot fail to admit the betrayal of the Gospel committed by our brothers, especially in the second millennium. The admissions of the mistakes in the past leads to awakening of our consciousness and to the compromise in the presence". Recalling this pope's plea for forgiveness of the sins of the Roman Catholic church, Professor Smilja Avramov in the earlier cited book Opus Dei, on pages 170-171, reminds to critical reactions to it, especially emphasizing the following words of the Dutch catholic thinker Leo Lyndaker, quote: "Pope expressed regret for what was done in the past, but there are no indications that he might be considering to change his behavior in the presence."

Why Serbian Socialists Can Never Go With Tadic

Cover of Belgrade daily
If they only knew then what they know now... Sunday cover of the Belgrade daily Kurir mocks Tadic and his coalition partners for their sudden change of hearts regarding the Socialists, showing them as active participants in late President Milosevic's funeral (Tadic is carrying the funeral cross personally). The text reads: Comrade Slobo, we pledge allegiance to You!

Tadic's Yellows Kidnapped Milosevic and Handed him Over to the Hague Executioners

May 25, 2008 interview with Uros Suvakovic, a prominent member of the Socialist Party of Serbia - SPS (Glas Javnosti)

"SPS is a patriotic party, while DS, G17 Plus and the other little parties gathered around them go by the old Latin saying, that the homeland is wherever's better."

No Honorable Way to Jump in the Same Sack with Tadic

Q: Which government do you favor more, the one with [coalition gathered around Tadic's] DS, or the one with the SRS [Serbian Radical Party] and DSS-NS [Kostunica's Democrats and Ilic's New Serbia coalition]? And why?

US: This is not about "favoring". This is the moral issue. There is no honorable way for the Socialists to form new government with the coalition Canak-Dinkic-Tadic. If anyone had dared to suggest such a prospect to our voters, out of 100 of them at least 80 would not have voted for us and, believe me, neither would I, nor anyone else from the Freedom Party would have accepted to take part, or offer to support such [candidate] list.

Q: Aren't you too harsh, being that [Tadic's] DS is a member of the Socialist International?

US: It is a lie that [Tadic's] Democratic Party is a left-wing political party. The fact they have added to their new programme few sentences which fit with the social-democratic orientation is in no way giving it a status of a left-wing party. While in power, this party has been implementing a liberal model of economy, ideologically charted as an entirely right-wing concept. The result of such ideologically fervent, and not economically based privatization is that Serbia's economy has been plundered, that the tycoons have bought everything that could have been bought, that there is no real production in our country, that the national banking system has been anihilated, while the foreign banks were enabled to rob our citizens...

Q: Apparently, you exclude the possibility for the DS, even in coalition with SPS and PUPS [Party of the Serbian Pensioners], to correct such a course?

US: The consequences of everything they have done is also a record unemployment rate in Serbia, which puts us at the first place in Europe, the complete stripping of the rights of the workers who were fortunate enough to keep their jobs, and the unprecedented level of corruption. Therefore, the DS was not concerned with workers, their rights and their employment, it was instead concerned with the interests of the mid-size and big capital.

Allegedly "Left-Wing Party", Tadic's DS Launched Persecution Against Socialists

Q: In your view, whose formula of tying Kosovo-Metohija to the EU is closer to the SPS position — Kostunica's or Tadic's?

US: Together with the Radicals and Kostunica's party, the Socialists were defending the country from NATO aggression in 1999, while then-President of DS [Zoran Djindjic, succeeded by Tadic] was "touring" the western Europe, calling for the continuation of bombardment of Serbia. Our resistance to NATO resulted in the adoption of the Resolution 1244, which guarantees Serbia's sovereignty over Kosovo-Metohija. And now, the DS is signing various agreements with the states which first bombed us, and then recognized Kosovo independence nine years later.

Q: President Tadic claims that the SPS-DS government would represent a form of reconciling the 1990s [Socialist Party rule] and October 5 [CIA-funded coup which brought Yellows to the power]. Is that acceptable for you?

US: As a "left-wing party", the DS distinguished itself by persecuting the Socialists after October 5. Its former president and the members who comprised Serbian Government back then, reached a decision to kidnap Slobodan Milosevic and deliver him over to the Hague, enabling the Hague executioners to murder him by failing to provide him with the appropriate medical help. The latest SPS Congress adopted a resolution, binding for the SPS leadership, which demands establishing criminal responsibility of all those who took part in delivering Slobodan Milosevic to the Hague. At the time, Djelic [outgoing vice premier, DS member] and Dinkic [outgoing Economy minister, leader of G17 Plus] were also among the top state leaders. So, how could we raise criminal charges against our "coalition partners"?

Yellows' Appalling Behavior at the Time of Milosevic's Death Unforgivable

Q: Tadic is inviting the coalition gathered around SPS into the government in the name of "national reconciliation", while leaving the past to the historians...

US: Current DS leader, in the role of president of Serbia and as a member of the Head Council of SCG Defense [SCG: Serbia and Montenegro Federation] requested and succeeded to have the SCG Army barred from any form of participation in the funeral of the late president of this state and the SPS founder, Slobodan Milosevic. This order of his was carried through with such diligence, that it was even prohibited for Milosevic's remains to be placed in a VMA [Military Medical Academy] chapel, and all the military tributes he had the legal right to were also prohibited. Tadic's political party deputy, Nenad Bogdanovic, issued a ban on the funeral in the Avenue of the Greats in the New Belgrade.

Q: What is your position regarding the ratification of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the EU?

US: I believe that agreement was signed as part of the DS' advertisement during the electoral campaign and that it is a move by the irresponsible people who care for the state interests as much as for the last year's snow. But now that the agreement is here, its hurried annulment wouldn't be good either. So, I think that the correct stand would be to have the SAA thoroughly analyzed, both on the expert and on the political level, and only after that sent to the National Assembly for reaching the final decision. And, let me stress — the way this pact relates to Kosovo-Metohija as an integral part of Serbia is the main, but not its only deficiency. This pact, for example, enables the import of genetically modified food to Serbia and selling of our agricultural land to the foreigners, all of which is contrary to our laws and the Constitution. I believe it is important for our farmers to know this as well. Just as our citizens also need to know that several more Serbian heads have to be delivered to the Hague in order for this pact to become operative.

Q: What is the way out?

US: I see a solution in adopting few explicit reservations regarding the text of the agreement, which our country would put forth. But none of it ought to be done heatedly, but in a well-thought out way and studiously. Because, Serbia should join the European Union. After all, everybody agrees on that. The point of disagreement is the defense of Kosovo and Metohija. SRS, DSS-NS and SPS have always regarded Kosovo-Metohija as the priority number one of our national policy, and that the state must protect its territory and its people living there by all means, while the DS, G17 Plus and the other little parties gathered around them follow the old Latin adage, that "the homeland is wherever's better".

Q: You are known as the man Mirjana Markovic [Slobodan Milosevic's widow] trusts. Are you her link to the rest of the SPS in these politically heated days?

US: She has direct contacts with the SPS leadership, first of all with the leader of the party Dacic and his deputy Milutin Mrkonjic, so there is no need for me to act as an intermediary.

Q: What is Markovic saying to the SPS leadership? Which option does she prefer? And is there a request for the amnesty for Marko Milosevic [son] and Mirjana Markovic?

US: You will have to ask the SPS leadership that. What I deeply believe is that she, alongside 80 percent of our voters, completely agrees with the political views I expressed in this interview. Regarding the amnesty for Mira and Marko, every state leadership which respects the principles of the rule of law would have to do that first.

Czech Government's Recognition of Mafia State

Czech President Vaclav Klaus
President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus

Czech President: How Ashamed I was!

That Czech nation has managed not to lose its sense of honor and common decency in the era when everything contrary to those virtues is promoted as the right thing to do onto others, was once again confirmed today, by the Czech President Vaclav Klaus in person.

Describing his meeting with Serbia's Ambassador Vladimir Veresh ahead of his return to Belgrade, a move prompted by the Czech government's decision to recognize the Albanian mafia state on Serbian territory, President Klaus wrote an article for Prague daily Mlada Fronta Dnes, titled "How Ashamed I Was".

"I was very upset by the words of Ambassador Veresh, who said that Serbs did not take personally Kosovo recognitions by countries such as Finland, Holland or Germany, but that the Czech government's move hurt them," the Czech president said.

Klaus reminded that he personally cannot be at peace with his state officials' recognition of unilateral independence by the Pristina separatists, and that for this reason he decided to receive Veresh in the personal audience, which the diplomats describe as a highly unusual move, according to the state protocol.

"I believed that with my quick invitation of the Serbian ambassador before his unwanted departure, I will send out at a least a small signal to people in this country as well as in Serbia that nothing is changing in Czechs' relations to Serbs," Klaus wrote.

He added that Veresh reminded him of several key moments in the common history of the two nations.

One is the fact that the first Czechoslovakian president, Tomash Garrigue Masaryk, could only travel through Europe during the First World War because Serbia issued him with a passport, and that the German Gestapo persecuted Masaryk's followers in occupied Serbia during the Second World War, including Ambassador Veresh's own grandfather, who was arrested by the Gestapo on Belgrade.

"The ambassador's father studied in Prague after the war, to be sent home by our authorities after 1948, because he would not renounce his president Tito in favor of Stalin," Klaus continued.

The third fact, he reminded the readers of the Czech Republic's most influential newspaper, is that as the Warsaw Pact troops occupied Czechoslovakia in 1968, Yugoslavia was the only country to declare its own mobilization.

"I was glad to hear him telling me that they cherished the fact that I am the only president to have done something like this. However, I did not think that I will have to be ashamed", the Czech president ended.

Pravo: "We Can be Fully Ashamed"

Czech daily Pravo assessed that Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek (ODS), when deciding on the fate of Serbian Kosovo-Metohija province, "included among the guys to whom he does not talk" not only a majority of the public and the opposition, but also the government coalition partners from the Christian Democratic Union (KDU-CSL), as well as the state President Vaclav Klaus, who is also an ODS honorary chairman.

Pravo points out that Slovakia, for instance, has not issued a recognition of an illegal state on Serbian territory.

"We can be fully ashamed of that a state that is the closest to us (Slovakia) and also a smaller state did not join the violation of international law, but our government did," Alexandr Mitrofanov stressed.

He pointed out that Czechs realize that the Serbs, a Slavic nation who always stood by the Czechs, have found themselves in the position of second-rate citizens in their own province of Kosovo and Metohija.

"The perception of the state as one's own private business in that part of the ODS that is represented by Mirek Topolanek is just culminating," Mitrofanov notes for Pravo.

Hamacek: Scandalous Behavior of the Government

According to CTK news, Head of the Chamber of Deputies Foreign Committee (CSSD) Jan Hamacek said he expected the government to explain this step because its decision certainly contradicted the Chamber of Deputies' resolution on Serbian Kosovo province that was approved almost unanimously.

Hamacek said it was "scandalous that the Chamber of Deputies foreign committee was not informed about the government's decision beforehand".

The Chamber of Deputies approved a resolution at the beginning of February, which recommended that the government must act in accordance with the international law and the United Nations Security Council's resolution 1244, according to which Kosovo and Metohija remain an integral part of Serbia.

Curve: Recognizing Criminal States was Not Part of the Ruling Coalition Programme

The MF Dnes also reminds that Czech government's unexpected decision to recognize Pristina separatists' unilateral independence, despite the overwhelming opposition to such a move, including the Czech Republic president, has caused a storm in the local political scene, which continues unabated for the third day.

Not only the Czech opposition, such as the most popular Social Democratic Party and Czech and Moravian Communist Party are against the illegal recognition, but there are also talks about the split within the ruling coalition over the act.

"Everyone has the right to publicly express their disagreement within the [ruling] coalition which recognizes criminal states -- this is not what our party was meant to do", head of the Czech Green Party Pavel Curve said, adding that "this position of [Czech FM] Karel Schwarzenberg is not my cup of tea. I will continue to request the foreign minister's departure."

The Truth Shall Never Go Away 3

Celebrating German reunification
German reunification, celebrated by all, has signaled the blood-soaked destruction of Yugoslavia and renewed attempts to destroy Serbia. October 3, 1990

Germany's Big, Empty Words

Part 3 of late President Slobodan Milosevic's opening statement at the Hague, August 31, 2004 (Part 1, Part 2)

On September 12, 1990, in Moscow, at the time foreign minister of what was then a Democratic Republic of Germany, along with French, Great Britain, Soviet and United States' foreign ministers signed an agreement about the final state order of Germany, Genscher, among else, said: "We don't want anything else, except to live in freedom, democracy and peace with all the other nations. The state unity is for us the greatest responsibility, but it does not represent the aspirations for greater power".

Chancellor Kohl, on October 3 [1990], the day of German reunification, sent a message to all the governments in the world, among them also to a Yugoslav Government, which states: "From the German soil, only the peace will emanate in future. We are aware that the inviolability of borders, the respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty of all European states are the key preconditions for peace. We are also bound by the moral and legal obligations, which stem from the German history."

Big words and big promises given to the rest of humanity, particularly to Europe, at the moment German nation was finally permitted to take off the heavy burden of the division, imposed precisely as a result of the darkest era of German history. Big words and big promises, but at the same time, empty words and empty promises.

Because, how did the top German leadership view the moral and legal obligations arising from the German history which they cited, in reality, and what is their relation to the inviolability of borders, respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty of all European states, as they said themselves is the main precondition for peace, one could observe at the time very clearly on the territory of Yugoslavia — that is, on the territory of that very state onto which the German history, only in the 20th century, inflicted a cost of three million lives: 1,247,000 Serbian victims in the First World War and 1,700,000 victims in the Second World War.

Because, precisely in that October of 1990, in the month of German reunification, the Yugoslav Army Security Services have found and even managed to secretly film the activities of the illegal import of weapons to Croatia, aimed at facilitating the armed secession of Croatia. Therefore, at issue was an outright destruction of the territorial integrity of Yugoslavia.

This arms-import went through Hungary, but the bulk of the weapons came from now reunified Germany, which turned the cited promise of Chancellor Kohl that "only peace will emanate from the German soil in future", to the pure irony. The arming of secessionists was neither the only, nor the first form of German meddling in Yugoslav internal affairs, contributing to the deepening, if not the very instigation of the crisis in Yugoslavia.

Germany Promises to Croat and Slovenian Secessionists that More Bloodshed will Grant their Wishes

The entire activities of Slovenia and Croatia on violently gaining independence were not only supported and aided by Germany, they were also largely encouraged by the highest [German] state functionaries. Namely, within the efforts to stop the conflict in Croatia, and to end the attacks against the JNA (Yugoslav Army), Yugoslav Presidency and the leaders of the Yugoslav republics have gathered in Belgrade at the meeting on August 20 and 21, 1991. At that time, they have adopted a number of decisions aimed at stabilizing the situation. A programme on the minimal political and economic cooperation was adopted; a commission for drafting an agreement about the future shape of the multi-national state was formed, and also an agreement was reached regarding the meeting between the leaders of the JNA and Croat republic.

On August 20, the extraordinary ministerial session of the European Political Cooperation was held, where the foreign ministers of the European Community member states concluded they are welcoming the readiness of all parties to embark on negotiations about the future of Yugoslavia, and requested that all the sides conduct these negotiations between themselves in goodwill. On the same day, Genscher held the consultations with Slovenian and Croat foreign ministers. And on August 24, 1991, he invited Boris Frlec, a Yugoslav Ambassador to Bonn, a Slovenian by the way, which ensured that the message sent to Yugoslav authorities will also be carried to Ljubljana and Zagreb, and told him: "In case the bloodshed continues, and in the case the policy of violence does not end immediately, the [German] Federal Government will have to seriously consider recognizing Slovenia and Croatia in the existing borders. It will also conduct the appropriate review on these matters within the European Community."

The question is whether those who have already declared secession and who have already used weapons in order to carry it out, needed a better and greater endorsement and encouragement, whether the greater push could have been given in order to violate the cease-fire, than this message, that precisely the continuation of the bloodshed will produce the recognition of those states. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened. The message has produced the desired effect, because the Croat paramilitary formations refused to honor the already agreed cease-fire and escalated the conflict.

Finally, Lord [David] Owen also spoke about the German readiness to support Slovenia and Croatia in their unlawful secession also through the recognition of those republics, even at the cost of serious clashes with their [German own] European Community partners, USA and the United Nations. You have admitted into evidence his book here and I'm reminding you, he said: "Genscher's letter to Perez de Cuellar, written in German, invoked the public statements which have been raising tensions in Yugoslavia and the Paris Charter. But, as Perez de Cuellar reminded him in his reply, Genscher has forgotten to mention a European Community declaration published in Rome on November 8, 1991, which said that the prospects for the recognition of independence of those republics who wished so can only be reviewed within the frameworks of the overall solutions."

Diplomats: Germany Bears the Greatest Responsibility for the Bloodshed in Former Yugoslavia

Still, the German position was finally prevailing. Once the Pandora's box was opened, once the unlawful secession was recognized at the cost of human lives, the blood-soaked process was difficult to stop, because the things were not ended with Croatia and Slovenia, again without any consideration for the consequences. A further step was made.

At the end of the first passage, on the page 384 of his book, Lord Owen says: "The European Community's mistake regarding the recognition of Croatia could have been overcome had the situation not been further complicated by the recognition of Bosnia and Herzegovina, irrespective of the consequences. United States which, in December 1991, were against the recognition of Croatia, in the spring of 1992 became a very active advocate of recognizing Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, there was no need to regard it as unavoidable, nor was it logical to move on decisively and recognize Bosnia and Herzegovina, an inner Yugoslav republic which consisted of three large constitutive nations, with very different views on independence."

So, one mistake followed the other. One brazenness followed the other, and human lives were the price. And when human lives are the price, than those mistakes and those brazennesses turn into the crime. In this case, that is the crime against peace. Precisely the type of crime that this illegal institution, probably not by chance, does not have the jurisdiction over.

That Germany is the main guilty party for the escalation of the Yugoslav crisis was also stressed by the US Secretary of State Warren Christopher, in the interview to US Today, also carried by Die Welt, from June 18, 1993. Christopher said: "During the overall process of recognition and, first of all, on the occasion of the premature recognitions, grave mistakes were made, and particular responsibility for that belongs to the Germans. Many experts share the view that the problems we are facing today stem from the recognition of Croatia, and later Bosnia."

Christopher's French colleague Roland Dumas, in the statement carried by Süddeutsche Zeitung on June 21, 1993, criticized the European Community because of recognizing Slovenia and Croatia in, quote, a "hasty and precipitous manner", which paved the way to breaking up Yugoslavia. He emphasized, quote: "The responsibility of Germany and the Vatican for the escalation is clearly enormous".

Another participant in these events, the then-Dutch Premier Ruud Lubbers, spoke in 1997 about the fact that German Chancellor Kohl pressured the European Community and thus changed its position that Croatia's independence ought not be recognized in order to avoid further fanning of the civil war, and said, I quote: "Foreign Affairs Minister [Hans] Van den Broek and I might as well have turned on our heads. The other Europeans could do nothing but look around in astonishment. Germans have moved into this business on their own and that was a catastrophe." This is [Amsterdam] Volkstrant, quoted according to the DPA, on December 21, 1997.

When all the above described German support to Croat and Slovenian, but also to the other secessionists aiming to realize their plan, is taken into account, then those statements by Sjepan Mesic from the TV appearance regarding the role of Genscher and Pope John Paul II are not surprising.

A Constant in German Foreign Policy in Three Wars: Anti-Serbian Drive

However, as the Germany's bully-like support for destruction of Yugoslavia and for recognition of the secession of its republics is something evident and widely known, the question remains in the minds of many what were the motives of such behavior and such stubborn persistence of the top leaders of just-reunited German nation.

This question is answered by one of the world's leading geopolitical experts, General Pierre-Marie Gallois who was a close De Gaulle's associate, who stated the following for Die Zeit on July 23, 1993: "Dismemberment of this state and closely tying Croats and Slovenians to the German industry has brought about the emancipation of the nations which were once associated with the empire in the heart of Europe, and afterwards with the Third Reich. On the other hand, this meant punishment of the Serbs who have persistently, in both world wars, stood by the Allies. Thirdly, this has led to the wiping of the last remnants of the treaties with which Germany was twice punished for its defeats."

And although many would regard these claims by the old French general and the prominent anti-fascist with suspicion and displeasure, trusting that Germany's historical ambitions are nothing but a distant past and that the new historical circumstances and the catharsis German nation went through are a sufficient guarantee for the peace-loving insurances given by the German politicians at the time these events took place, on the occasion of German reunification, one only needs to recall an article by Klaus Kinkel, titled "German Foreign Policy in the Light of the New World Order", published in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on March 19, 1993. In this article, the task of German foreign policy is expressed in the following way: "Towards the outside world, something in which we have failed twice before, has to be realized".

Everyone understands -- there's probably no one in the world who doesn't know what was it that Germany failed in twice before, vis-a-vis the outside world. So, according to the German Foreign Minister himself, the task for this country's foreign policy is to use its potentials to realize what it failed to achieve in two world wars, and the only question that remains is whether that will be achieved by the old or by the new means.

Kohl himself said in a TV programme, on the day of the recognition of Croatia secession: "There is a particularly intense affiliation between the Germans and the Croats, which is largely related to history." This historical vertical line pointed out by Kohl, like the historical vertical line in the German foreign policy and the actions pointed out by Kinkel, and finally also a similar vertical line in the actions and policies of their Croat satellite, is sometimes startlingly reflected in almost identical actions and words of the key figures from the time of two world wars, and the time of war against Yugoslavia in the 1990's. Therefore, from the three wars in which the constant staple of the German policy in the Balkans were the anti-Yugoslav pressures.

Myth of 'Greater Serbia' Used as Propaganda Tool for 150 Years

First, there were the blood-soaked efforts to prevent the creation of the Yugoslav state and then even bloodier to destroy that state and wipe it off the face of the earth. The red thread tying the overall rhetoric and the rhetoric of the Germanic bloc of Austria, i.e. the Austro-Hungary, and Germany in the Balkans is the thesis about the danger of creation some kind of Greater Serbia. This danger, this key thesis, has taken the central position also in this false indictment against me -- Greater Serbia. This thesis, this myth, is a creation of Austro-Hungarian propaganda since the second half of the 19th century. It is an integral part of the efforts by the rotting monarchy to keep its occupied Southern Slavic territories.

About this fear that the Southern Slavic nations, shackled under the Austro-Hungarian occupation, carried by the wave of a broad European process of national emancipation and the liberation from the occupier's binds of a score of European nations, as well as reunifications of the divided territories into one state, just as was the case with Germany itself, this fear from realizing such aspirations, although they were natural and historically legitimate in the case of unification of the Southern Slavs, one more German, Ambassador Ralf Hartman, describes in the following way in his book "The Honorable Mediators", on the page 31.

This illustrates the depths of this fear and how far back it goes into the past. I'm quoting him: "Already in 1876, when the Serbian Prince Milos backed the rebellion of the Christian population in Herzegovina and Bosnia against the Turkish rule and when he declared the war to Constantinople, the Russian State Chancellor Prince [Alexander Mikhailovich] Gorchakov, German Chancellor [Otto Von] Bismarck and the Austro-Hungarian Prime Minister [Gyula] Andrassy, upon the Hapsburg pressure, in the so-called Berlin Memorandum, agreed that in the case the Serbs win" -- he quotes: "The Powers will not tolerate creation of the large Slavic state".

The Natural Aspirations Allowed to Everyone, Forever Denied to Serbs

The thing that in 19th century represented for every one — Germans and Russians, Englishmen and Frenchmen, Spaniards and Italians — the most natural and understandable right to a life in a unified state, was to remain forever denied to the Southern Slavs, or rather, to Serbs. Their aspiration towards the state unification was declared heretical and turned into a threatening apparition. The name of this apparition was "Greater Serbia" and that is how it has remained in Vienna, Berlin and elsewhere ever since, without calming down till today, even though the Serbian Kingdom was too small and weak in comparison to the big European powers, and even though the Serbian population never exceeded 10 million.

This indictment is the best proof how correct all of this is, because it is the apparitions that are being discussed here. What is particularly striking is the fact that way back in the Austro-Hungarian propaganda, the liberation from the centuries-long yoke of Ottoman and Hapsburg occupation, and the unification of the Southern Slavs, not only the Serbs, was treated and referred to as the aspiration for creation of the Greater Serbia, or the expansion of the Serbian state. Such formulation implicates the existence of some conquering, expansionist tendencies among the Serbs, as opposed to the formulation on creation of the state of the Southern Slavs — not only the Serbs, but all the Southern Slavs, which points to the fact that part of the Southern Slavic peoples were under the foreign occupation and which leads to understanding the roots of the idea of Yugoslavia.

Someone's Aspirations to Dominate the Balkans Covered Up by Anti-Serbian Propaganda

And the roots of the Yugoslav idea have sprung within the Croat nation. But in spite of that, when the Serbs accepted that idea in order to help their enslaved brothers under Austro-Hungarian rule, it was labeled as the Greater Serbia idea and the sign of equality was always put between the two terms which are absolutely not the same: between Yugoslavia, the common state of the Southern Slavic peoples, on the one hand, and some kind of Greater Serbia, on the other, as the product and the tool of anti-Yugoslav and anti-Serbian propaganda.

Therefore, both then and now, someone's aspirations to dominate and control the territories inhabited by the Southern Slavic nations and to keep those nations enslaved, had to be covered up with the propaganda smokescreen, that it is in fact Serbia which has precisely such intentions, to spread into the territories which belong to others, which is the bare-naked lie.

Czech Bus Stoned by KLosovars

Attacked bus

In Honor of the Quisling Czech Government

According to the Czech radio report, a bus from the Czech Republic carrying humanitarian aid to the Kosovo Serbs has been attacked by KLosovar Albanians and stoned near Decani.

A group of Czech citizens, students and activists organized a visit to southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija, bringing aid to ghettoized Serbs, remaining in isolated pockets throughout the province.

Czech radio reported that their citizens, among whom 23 Czech students, traveling by bus bearing Czech Republic license plates, have been attacked and stoned by the KLosovars on their way to Serbian 14th century High Decani Monastery, but thankfully, no one was injured during the attack.

Foldina: Czech Nation will Never Recognize Kosovo-Metohija Separation

“The fact that the Czech Government recognized Kosovo-Metohija independence, of which I am deeply ashamed, has meant nothing to those ‘peace loving, democratic Albanians'," said Jaroslav Foldina, one of the passengers on the attacked bus and a regional leader of the most popular political party, Social Democratic Party, in a statement given to the online edition of Czech daily Pravo.

"We’re talking a lot with people in Kosovo and Metohija, and everyone kept asking about it (yesterday’s recognition of Kosovo by the Czech government). I kept repeating the same answer: Serbia was not betrayed by the Czech people, but by the Czech government. The people have always been the same”, Foldina stressed.

Following distribution of the humanitarian aid, Czech students and activists have announced joining Serbian youth and students who are continuing demonstrations in Kosovska Mitrovica, in protest of the Czech quisling government’s shameful decision to recognize the forceful severing of the Serbian province.

Foldina told Tanjug that the charges will be brought in front of the Czech Constitutional Court against their government, since it has violated the international law by issuing a recognition of the illegal, violently carved up entity on the Serbian territory.

"Czech nation will never recognize Kosovo and Metohija independence. We shall fight with the truth, because if Serbia loses, the Europe loses," Foldina said.

Schwarzenberg with war criminal
How much, Mr. Schwarzenberg? Prior to issuing recognition of the mafia state on Serbian territory, Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg went to Pristina to visit KLA war criminal Hashim Thaci

"We are Ashamed of Our Government!"

Member of the Serbian-Czech Friendship Alliance, Adrijana Markesevic, told Tanjug that the attack took place when the bus stopped at the red light in Decani town, but that, except for the material damage, there were no injuries.

She also announced that the group of Czech citizens who have visited Serbian Monastery High Decani and the town of Prizren, from which even Raska-Prizren Bishop Artemije has been expelled, with his residence and all the churches torched, will organize demonstrations in Kosovska Mitrovica today, in protest of the Czech government's decision to recognize unilaterally declared independence by the Pristina separatists.

"We are ashamed of the Czech Government because of this!", Markesevic said.

The group of Czechs is also visiting the Velika Hoca Serbs, who have remained in this part of Metohija.

Czech Opposition Appalled

According to the media reports, Czech opposition is entirely appalled by their government's decision to issue an illegal recognition to the mafia state on Serbian territory, and Czech Social Democratic Party has condemned the government's decision as a betrayal of the Czech nation.

"This is a betrayal of the Czech nation," said Zdenjek Shkromah, President of the currently most popular party, Czech Social Democratic Party.

Government's decision to recognize the unilaterally declared independence by Pristina separatists was also bitterly rejected by the Czech Communist Party.

"Considering the level of arrogance this Government has been exhibiting, this act of recognition hasn't really surprised us", the leader of the Parliamentary Club of Czech and Moravia Communists, Pavel Kovacik said.

Western Collusion with Terrorists, Secessionists and Criminals in Destruction of Yugoslavia and Serbia

Second part of late President Slobodan Milosevic's opening statement at the Hague, August 31, 2004 (first part available here)

On the basis of Smithson's Declaration from January 7, 1932, United States obligated itself not to recognize the states created through the violent changes. This principle first became the regional rule for the American states, and then entered the universal rules of the international law.

This time around [in destruction of Yugoslavia], the United States trampled their own law. Back in July 1991, before the war begun, [German] Minister of Foreign Affairs [Hans-Dietrich] Genscher advocated the immediate recognition of Slovenia and Croatia. The parallel action was led by the Vatican. According to the US Ambassador with the Holy See, Thomas Patrick Milady, already in the mid-1991 Vatican undertook an action which was unprecedented in the history, placing itself at the helm of the process of recognition of the secessionist republics.

Vatican was exerting a permanent pressure on the European states to recognize Croatia and Slovenia. In August 1991, Pope John Paul II has sent Archbishop Torano to Yugoslavia, who reported upon his return that Serbia is an undeniable aggressor. One more substitution of the thesis, one more shameless lie and hypocrisy, this time on behalf of a spiritual leader. The aggression to one's own country — a construction that can only come to life in an extremely malicious undertaking. But the press accepted it. According to Milady, there was a perfect coordination between Vatican and Germany.

Mesic—Genscher—Vatican, the Old Nazi Ties are Thicker than Blood

In mid-December 1991, Genscher visited Vatican and, upon return, on December 19, he announced that Germany will recognize Croatia and Slovenia, regardless of the positions of other states. This was realized on December 23. But Vatican has done so on January 13, 1992.

Germany and Vatican were guided by their historical geostrategic interests. They have been working on destruction of Yugoslavia for years. This was explicitly stated by Helmut Kohl in the reputable magazine "Politique Internationale", [edition] 1994/1995, #66, stressing that the history of present-day Germany and the one that preceded it represents an indivisible whole.

The decisive period started when [Klaus] Kinkel become the head of the German security services [BND, Bundesnachrichtendienst]. He established the closest ties with Ustasha emigration. The key figures who worked on destruction of Yugoslavia from within, according to the well-known American analyst Eric Schmidt-Birnbaum, were Josip Malovic, Josip Boljkovac, Franjo Tudjman, Stjepan Mesic — current president of Croatia. Mesic confirmed his role also on Slovenian television, stating, and I quote: "I wanted to convey the idea of breaking Yugoslavia up to those who had the greatest influence on its destiny, Genscher and pope. I met with Genscher the entire three times. He enabled me to get in contact with the Holy See. Pope and Genscher agreed to a total break-up of Yugoslavia". End of quotation.

After this, the recognition by the other European Community members followed in January 1992, while Bosnia and Herzegovina were recognized on April 6 of the same year, on the very day Hitler attacked Yugoslavia -- April 6, 1941. The federal units have been recognized, as written in every individual act of recognition, "within the internationally recognized borders". That's what it says. But the fact is that never, not in a single international act, have the administrative borders [between Yugoslav republics] been recognized as the international ones. There isn't even an internal document about these borders. And, most importantly, the recognition is a one-sided political act, whereas the problem of determining the borders is a complex, multilevel legal procedure. Therefore, what was recognized were the fictitious, not the real states. The subjects that were recognized did not have the basic prerequisites for statehood.

An Exercise in Political Hypocrisy: Unprecedented Recognitions in the Midst of Bloody Civil War

There is a unified position among the experts that the recognition of statehood requires a legitimate state apparatus, the stability of the political and legal structures, a monopoly over armed forces within the territory in question and the full control over the use of force. Most importantly, the state has to demonstrate the strength and readiness to fulfill the international obligations and to ensure the internal safety.

None of that existed at the moment of the recognition. The recognition was given at the time of a bloody civil war, which will remain recorded as the unique case in the modern history, but in an entirely negative sense.

In the legal circles throughout the world, the recognition of the separatist forces caused astonishment and condemnation. This was also the case with the other circles. Cedric Thornberry, head of the civil sector of the UNPROFOR [United Nations Protection Force] stated in his memoirs, and I quote: "When Ambassador Cutileiro [Jose Cutileiro] informed us about the decision on recognition, General Morillon [Phillipe Morillon] and I were horrified." End of quotation.

The high-circulation French "Figaro" called this an exercise in the legal hypocrisy. General MacKenzie [Lewis MacKenzie] said in his memoirs "Even though we were not diplomats, all of us in uniform were certain that the fighting would break out all around us as soon as the recognition is announced." The UN Special Envoy Cyrus Vance said that the recognition of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the European Community and the USA has, I quote, "led to the war which is being waged on the Yugoslav territory". He said this in September 1992.

The recognition of the fictitious states in the midst of a civil war represents an indirect form of aggression against the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia. Supported by the powerful media campaign and the deception of the world public, through the flagrant violation of the international law and the United Nations Charter, the secessionist republics have been accepted into the United Nations membership. To the remainder of Yugoslavia, which was in fact the core of Yugoslavia, sanctions were imposed in May 1992 and the country was placed in isolation, only because we did not accept to have the existing state in which we lived erased by the stroke of a pen.

Joint Criminal Enterprise Indeed Existed, but Not in Belgrade

In this legal chaos and the moral decline of the leading powers of the post-Cold War world and the Vatican, the road to madness and lawlessness was opened, from the north borders down to Kosovo, to the furthest south. This ad hoc tribunal was also formed, with only one objective, to cover up the piled-up mistakes of the Western politics and to justify the crimes, the destruction of the state and the highly technological barbarism committed by the NATO countries in their three-month bombardment of Yugoslavia, [to cover up] the mass crimes against its citizens, the destruction of the medieval heritage of the Serbian nation in Kosovo, and so on.

Through the instrumentalization of the extremely complex events on Yugoslav territory, and by switching the blame onto Yugoslavia as the aggressor, and onto me personally, a very transparent tactic was employed, with the purpose of closing the circle and preventing the logical thinking based on the empirical evidence.

The ridiculous, I'd say even vulgar theories about the "bad guys" and "rogue states" can't obscure the historical facts and historical responsibility for the tragedy of a European state. The "joint criminal enterprise" indeed existed, but it did not originate in Belgrade, nor has it ever existed in Belgrade. To the contrary, it existed in the joint forces of the secessionists, Germany and Vatican, and then the other European Community countries and the United States.

Kangaroo Court, Another Tool of NATO Propaganda

At my first appearance in this place and from then on, on several occasions, I denied the legality of this so-called "tribunal". During the procedure, you provided me with the countless arguments in support of my position. I shall not dwell upon the lack of the legal basis for the establishment of this court. I would only remind you that the source of the judicial power can solely be the international agreement, and not the resolution, as was concluded by the UN Secretary General himself, in his statement to the UN Security Council on May 3, 1993.

However, you owe a response to the international public as to from where does the Security Council draw a right to suspend legally binding treaties from being implemented. I'm referring to the Geneva Conventions from 1949 with the amended protocols and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide from 1948, which assign the authority to adjudicate the war crimes' cases to the national courts. The international court can have the authority only when the document about its establishment has been reached lege artis, and only if it is of the general nature.

This so-called "tribunal" lacks both elements. The act on establishing this "tribunal" is of an individual nature, therefore, it is a political document. The basic legal principle is the equality in the eyes of the law, so there is a question why haven't the tribunals for all the wars which took place and are taking place throughout the world been established, at least in this, last decade of the 20th century, since there are no principled reasons for something like that, if it's legal, not to be applied to all.

In other words, this "tribunal" represents the most serious form of discrimination against one country and the grave violation of the conventions regarding the prohibition of all forms of discrimination.

At the very beginning, I requested that this institution exercises its right from the Article 96 of the UN Charter, to seek approval from the UN General Assembly to address the International Court of Justice [ICJ], the legal and the highest judicial body of the United Nations' institutional system, authorized to interpret the Charter, requesting their advice on whether the Security Council resolutions through which this so-called court was established are in compliance with the United Nations Charter or not.

No Court Can Determine Its Own Legality

The fact that this "tribunal" gave itself the right to decide on its own whether it was established in the legally valid way or not, and the fact it has, as could have been expected, determined that it is legal, does not mean such a conclusion is either correct, nor that it had a right to reach such a conclusion. Namely, this so-called "tribunal", just like any other court, is not authorized to evaluate its own legality. Therefore, its decision on this issue is legally worthless.

The courts are, in fact, authorized to evaluate whether they are competent to adjudicate on certain issues or not. But the issue of the jurisdiction of a court and the issue of its legality are two entirely different questions. The issue of legality has the precedence over the issue of [the court's own] jurisdiction, because if the court is illegal, than the question of its jurisdiction becomes pointless. Unlike the issue of [court's own] jurisdiction, not a single tribunal, nor any other institution, is authorized to determine its own legality, because the law traditionally does not allow one to be the judge in one's own case — nemo judex in sua causa.

On the other hand, this illegal court has no right to deprive the persons before it of a response to a question whether they are before the legal or illegal institution, especially if there is a legally valid way I have pointed to for resolving this issue. Because, by refusing to resolve this issue, the person in question is being denied justice, deni de justice.

Tribunals Don't Get Their Legitimacy through Resolutions

But I'm afraid that it is exactly the people in authority in this institution who are aware that the opinion of the International Court of Justice would be in accordance with the opinion of its previous president Mohamed Bedjaoui, who, in his book "The New World Order and Control of the Legality of the Acts of the Security Council", among the acts listed as questionable, also cites both resolutions pertaining to this "tribunal".

Therefore, this "tribunal" is not international, and it is even less an independent institution, as you wish to present it. An ideological fiction has been launched into the public, an "international community" which, allegedly, stands behind this "tribunal", and that is, of course, a complete deception.

Madeleine Albright, the "Mother of the Hague Tribunal" (with Soros and NATO as the Fathers)

The idea to establish this "tribunal" came from Kinkel, after he succeeded Genscher, the main war criminal in regards to destruction of Yugoslavia. This idea was taken over by Madeleine Albright, and the funding of preliminary actions and later expenses was taken on by the Soros Foundation. George Soros also founded the "Coalition for International Justice", as a non-government organization, with the aim to offer "assistance" to the "tribunal". Please, put the "assistance" under the quotation marks, I'm addressing those who are writing the transcript.

Members of these and some other so-called NGOs of which some are present here today, in this "tribunal" as the [female] employees, have been engaged way back in 1992 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they were collecting the alleged evidence about the Serbian crimes. Albright presented this to the US Congress, she employed various lobbies and media in order to fabricate a show which would impress the public. The US Congress nicknamed her the "Mother of the Tribunal".

Drafter of the Hague's Statute: Tribunal is the Political Institution

And, as far as the authenticity of the "evidence" the NGOs produced goes, one can take a look at the scandal surrounding the false material presented by the [female] representatives of those organizations, which also served as the basis for the indictment against me for the alleged crimes in Kosovo.

"New York Times" reporter who wrote an article based on their false information was forced to resign due to professional and ethical reasons. I have that issue of New York Times here, but I have no time to present it to you.

A man who wrote the statute of this "tribunal" of yours, Michael Scharf, gave a very precise evaluation of the "tribunal". In the interview to the "Washington Post" on October 3, 1999, he emphasized, I quote: "Tribunal is a useful political channel which serves to diplomatically isolate the rogue leaders and to strengthen the political will in the world for imposing sanctions and for using force".

In other words, this "tribunal" is an instrument of war, not of justice. This was confirmed by Marcus McGee, who said for the reputable Canadian weekly "Globe and Mail" on April 21, 1999, that the "tribunal", I quote, "is a part of the NATO war strategy".

NATO's War-Waging Tool

At issue, therefore, is a kind of private justice known only to them, to a war coalition, and regression of the judiciary back into the early middle ages. The world's eminent legal experts refer to this "tribunal" as NATO's propaganda weapon, so there can be no talks of any degree of independence.

It should also be noted that, since 1996, there is a constant communication link between the NATO Secretary General and your chief prosecutor. On May 9, 1996, a memorandum was signed by the chief prosecutor and the Supreme Commander of NATO for Europe, about the modalities of cooperation. Obviously, it is NATO, and not the United Nations, that has taken over the role of "tribunal's" policeman. That is why this "tribunal" cannot be regarded as an international institution in any way, but only as an institution of the NATO.

Another confirmation for this claim: your own Article 32 of the Statute, which anticipates that the "tribunal" expenses will be covered from the regular United Nations budget. But, in practice, the money comes from rather morbid sources, like the Soros Foundation and various foundations from different Islamic countries. The bulk of the money comes from NATO itself. According to the NATO spokesman Shea [Jamie Shea], I quote: "NATO is the biggest financier of the Tribunal". He said that on May 17, 1999, in Brussels.

One should also recall that Soros also finances the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army [KLA], which is in fact a terrorist UCK organization, and their main propaganda outlet, daily "Koha Ditore".

The Truth Shall Never Go Away

Slobodan Milosevic in front of the mural of Belgrade

Poetic Justice

There is plenty of divine poetic justice in the fact that the late President Milosevic's Socialist Party of Serbia, after the latest parliamentary elections, has been suddenly and unexpectedly promoted both by the EU officials and Serbia's Yellow bloc as the most desirable, entirely ideal government "partner" precisely for those who have been openly destroying Milosevic's party during the past eight years, by mercilessly tearing Slobodan Milosevic down as the devil incarnate, guilty of everything since the Great Flood until this very day.

For those who enjoy a healthy dose of prickly political satire, punctuated with a number of eggs-on-the-faces of the most despised quislings and state thieves, the fact that the men who took part in handing their state's former president over to the Kangaroo court, those who have thunderously announced "Hell for Milosevic!" after his murder in the Hague, who declined to even consider a state funeral for the man elected to lead their state three times in a row, with an overwhelming majority of more than 80 percent of votes, those who organized a party in Belgrade when late President Milosevic's family and party officials were burying him in the backyard of his parents' home in Pozarevac, those who were outraged by the slightest expression of sorrow over the great man's premature and untimely death, rushing to foreign reporters to feverishly profess they are "ashamed" of Serbian citizens who went to pay last respects to their murdered president -- those very same people are now praying and begging to form a partnership with the political party Slobodan Milosevic brought to power and made the most popular political party in former Yugoslavia.

They are now willing to become greater Socialists than the Socialists themselves, they are proposing to enter the "Socialist International" (!), according to Tadic's own words, shoulder-to-shoulder with Milosevic's Socialists, and are offering tens of thousands Euros to their former mortal enemies they couldn't hide detest for until recently, just to shake hands with Milosevic's associates in the tiny local parliaments scattered throughout the municipalities in the Serbian interior.

According to the President of the Serbian National Council of Kosovo and Metohija Milan Ivanovic, Tadic's sleazeballs would now gladly go to Pozarevac to dig up the remains of the late president personally, with their own hands, and move them to the Alley of the Greats, thus far—during their poisonous reign—reserved only for themselves and their personal friends and heroes. Just another proof how far they took the "privatization" issues in robbed, war-torn and ravaged Serbia.

"Even though [Tadic's] DS until recently blamed Slobodan Milosevic and his political party for all the miseries that befell Serbia, they are now willing to form the Government precisely with this party. They have now switched to blaming the Radicals for everything, but not the SPS any longer. Obviously, due to the countless affairs they got themselves enmeshed in, they are afraid to be left outside, with no power," said Ivanovic, adding that "Tadic's 'democrats' are not only willing to move the remains of Slobodan Milosevic over to the Alley of the Greats in Belgrade, but also to rename the boulevard they named after Zoran Djindjic to a Slobodan Milosevic Boulevard."

Javier Solana Wants to Keep Getting Provisions from Dinkic's Shady "Privatization" Deals

And, to complete the shameful burlesque, another archenemy of Milosevic's Socialists, the EU troll Javier Solana who has been claiming for a decade that he bombed Serbia only because of Milosevic (and, at the helm of the NATO pact at the time, he actually tried to assassinate Yugoslav president), while all the while he loved the Serbs with all his little heart, now says he would be perfectly happy with Milosevic's party getting to power once again and forming Serbian Government, as long as they enter alongside his kickback buddies, Tadic, Dinkic, Djelic, Sutanovac and the rest of the thieving, lying, conniving slime. So much for Solana's principles.

"Solana is their partner in getting the commission kickbacks for some foreign investments that are coming to Serbia. He only wants that government [Yellows with Socialists] because of his cut in the deals", leader of the New Serbia Velimir Ilic revealed to Vecernje Novosti.

Personal Sacrifice is What Makes One Great

On the bright side, this sudden turnaround of the Socialist-hating, thieving "reformers" and their foreign employers offers a perfect opportunity to remember how Slobodan Milosevic made Serbian Socialist Party great: through his own brilliance of a great statesman, through his righteousness and truthfulness, and through his personal sacrifice during the last chapter of his life spent in the Hague prison cell, while defending his nation and state against NATO.

Starting today, we shall publish the entire opening statement late President Milosevic gave in the Hague on August 31 and September 1, 2004. The hope to simply copy and paste transcripts for the said dates from the Kangaroo court's web site was crushed after a superficial comparison of the English translation of the transcripts to the Serbian original: the English translation is not only missing the entire passages and sentences, it is also decidedly incorrect in a number of instances. Believing it a shame to have nothing but a badly mutilated English translation as a historical record of one of the best, most comprehensive overviews by an important state leader, summing up the entire history of the civil wars in former Yugoslavia and the events surrounding them, we decided to translate anew the well recorded Serbian original, i.e. President Milosevic's own words, making sure to stay loyal to the original, even at the cost of overly-long, clumsy English sentences.

One should also keep in mind that President Milosevic spoke based on his personal notes, and did not have a written "speech" to simply read it out. Which, again, might offer another glimpse into the man's brilliance, power of concentration and knowledge and understanding of the history, world politics and described events.

Slobodan Milosevic: The Truth is Entirely Different
A European State, One of the UN Founders, was Brutally Destroyed

Late President Milosevic's opening statement in the Hague, August 31, 2004

In the international public, for a long time and with clear political intentions, an untruthful, distorted picture was being created about the events which took place in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

These accusations represent entirely unscrupulous manipulations with lies, mutilation of the law, defeat of morals and completely irresponsible rewriting of history. Everything has been presented in a lopsided manner, in order to protect those who are truly responsible for the tragic events and in order to draw the wrong conclusions through the interpretations of the events, as well as conclusion about the true nature and the background of war against Yugoslavia.

There is a fundamental historical fact from which one must proceed in order to understand these events. This fact has been the source of everything that went on in the territory of Yugoslavia since 1991 until the present day, and it is the fact that what took place is the violent destruction of a European state, Yugoslavia, which was derived from the statehood of Serbia, the only ally of the democratic world in that whole region over the past two centuries.

There can be no doubt that this fundamental historic fact is going to leave an imprint on the European history in the times to come.

A multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-confessional state that had its historic and international legal legitimacy was destroyed in order to create in its territory, according to the diktat of Germany and Vatican, assisted by the United States and the European Community, pure national mini-states. The state which was a founding member of all the universal international organizations, starting with the first Universal Postal Union in 1874, through the League of Nations, the International Labor Organization, the United Nations, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and all the other specialized agencies of the United Nations, all the way up to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe [OSCE] — thanks to which the catastrophe took place, the destruction of a sovereign state which, according to the Nuremberg Principles represents the worst international crime, the crime against peace; [OSCE] thanks to which the war took place in which tens of thousands of civilians were killed, hundreds of thousands were maimed, more than million people were expelled and turned into refugees — mostly Serbs — while the material damage is practically unappraisable and reaches hundreds of billions of dollars, not to even mention the ecological catastrophe.

The international community will have to face up to the truth. The problem of responsibility is even greater since it was not only one state that was destroyed. The legal system of the United Nations was destroyed, the corpus of moral principles upon which the world civilization was based has been destroyed. In addition, never in the history has a state disappeared by sheer coincidence.

The official rhetoric surrounding the events in the Yugoslav territory from the beginning till today, also adopted by this so-called "prosecution" here, crumbles in the light of the bear facts. The problem is that Yugoslavia did not "fall apart", nor has it miraculously vanished, as Mr. Robert Badinter tried to explain, resorting to a form of legal metaphysics. This country was destroyed according to a plan, violently, and through the war which continues to be waged, in which a series of war crimes were committed.

Yugoslavia Headed by All-Non-Serbian Political and Military Leadership at the Start of the Civil Wars

A reputable American theoretician Stephen John Steedman appropriately noted in 1993 in the periodical Foreign Affairs, that at the beginning of the war, and I am quoting: "There was no Slovenia or some other state. There was only the state of Yugoslavia." So it is logical to take this as a point of departure in any kind of legal analysis.

Yugoslavia was headed at this most critical period of time by a representative from Croatia, Stjepan Mesic, its Prime Minister at the time was also from Croatia, Ante Markovic, as well as its Foreign Minister, also from Croatia, Budimir Loncar. In the entire top echelons of the military, of which we could also be informed here, among the 16 top generals only 2 were Serbs; most were Croats, Slovenians and of other ethnic backgrounds.

This state had a strong and well organized armed forces at its disposal, the one which could control the conflict and prevent the catastrophe altogether. However, this government allowed the paramilitary formations, arms smugglers, criminals, even the narco-mafia—when we look at the end of this process in Kosovo—to take over the terrain. But the said government acted in concert with the European Community, most notably with Germany and the Vatican.

As early as the end of June 1991, the European Community demanded that the legitimate armed forces must stay closed within the army barracks, and that they must refrain from any action — therefore, a voluntary transformation of the army into a detainee in their own country, which has, naturally, opened the doors for the activities of the paramilitary formations of the secessionists.

Slovenian Paramilitary Formations' War Crimes Faithfully Recorded by Austrians

The armed confrontations were started by the secession of Slovenia in 1991, which was accompanied by the armed actions. In June 1991, Slovenian paramilitary formations, without any cause, killed in cold blood the JNA [Yugoslav People's Army] soldiers who were securing the border towards Hungary and Italy, and took over the border posts. From the point of the Yugoslav Constitution, the United Nations Charter, and the general legal principles recognized by the civilized nations, this was a textbook example of the armed insurrection against the state, which obligates the state to undertake all the necessary measures in order to restore the law and order.

And we know that, acting upon the order of the Federal Premier Ante Markovic, the Commander of the Fifth Army, Slovenian General Konrad Kolshek informed the government of Slovenia that the Yugoslav People's Army will regain control over the borders and that this task will be carried out.

Instead of allowing the peaceful implementation of the decisions by the Federal Government, Slovenian leadership said that it accepts the challenge and that it will resort to force in order to oppose it. And that's what they did. Using the paramilitary formations which at the time had 36,000 illegally armed fighters, Slovenia launched an offensive. They all knew perfectly well that the Yugoslav People's Army, brought up in the spirit of brotherhood and unity, will not shoot at Slovenians whom they considered their own citizens.

So, the killing of the JNA soldiers represented a mere premeditated crime, and not a war in any sense of the word. The grave war crimes have been committed, and not even the military medical institutions were spared. The European Community Troika toured the terrain and described a dramatic situation. The list of crimes is long, and there is also a documentary footage about the crimes committed by the Slovenian paramilitary troops, filmed by an Austrian TV company.

Due to the time constraints you have imposed, I don't have the possibility of playing these tapes now, but I shall use the testimonies of certain witnesses to show them.

On July 10, 1991, the European Parliament passed a resolution condemning not the rebels, not the secessionists, but the legal armed forces, the Yugoslav People's Army. An inversion of the executioner and the victim was performed, wholeheartedly supported by the American and world media, which have employed themselves in the service of war and became its fuel. I stress this because the substitution of the thesis when it comes to the events on the territory of Yugoslavia has, since then, become a formula which was profusely used in the further process of destruction of Yugoslavia.

Croatia Resurrects Ustasha Phraseology, Insignia and Methods

In Croatia, the crimes against Serbs started even earlier, before the announcement of secession, using the same methods, in the same regions where the genocide against the Serbian nation started in 1941, by the Ustasha units in the so-called Independent State of Croatia [NDH, Hitler's ally during the WWII].

The world experts who have been researching the genocides that took place in different times and in different parts of the world, like Leo Cooper, Peter Drost, Ted Gertz, Louis Horowitz, George Cram and the others, arrived to a conclusion that the genocide against one nation can be committed only once. Every second attempt inevitably turns into a civil war. This thesis has been confirmed in Croatia.

The genocide committed against the Serbs in Croatia in 1941 started by putting together the lists and inviting the groups to submit personal data, but instead of submitting informations, the Serbs were being killed or taken to the concentration camps. This time around, to the similar invitations and similar actions, the Serbs responded by resistance, feeling seriously manipulated by the politicians who, up until the day before, spoke about protecting the ideals of brotherhood and unity, and who were now calling to a war in the name of national ideals.

Within somewhat refurbished packaging, the old Ustasha formulas were resurrected, along with the Ustasha symbols, and through the hurriedly rewritten laws, Serbs have lost the status of the constitutive nation. Without any prompting from the outside, without the Belgrade support, without the protection of the army isolated in the barracks, Serbs in Krajina were prepared to risk death through the struggle, but not a new genocide.

Long before the 1991 secession, the armed groups operated through Croatia, the so-called "Voluntary units of the people's protection", which acted within the HDZ [right-wing political party headed by Franjo Tudjman] frameworks, and under the different names: "Zebra", "Black Legion", "Vukovar Wolves" and so on.

On May 28, a month before the secession, a military parade was organized in Zagreb. It showcased the weapons received primarily from Germany. These were the psychological preparations for what was to follow. The groups of Croat paramilitary troops were, in those days, transfered to Bosnia, since President Tudjman had announced the renewal of "Croatia down to [river] Drina".

After a decision to withdraw the JNA troops from Croatia was reached on July 18, 1991, the armed actions of the paramilitary formations in Croatia turned into a frontal war. From July 20 to August 4, 75 attacks against the JNA units were recorded, 23 attacks against the military barracks, 13 attacks against the planes, using the most up-to-date weapons from the NATO arsenals.

Serbian houses were being torched and the individual crimes against the Serbs were replaced with the mass executions. In the cornfield near the village Jankovci 65 Serbs were slaughtered. They have all been identified. In the village Svinjarevo, 25 Serbs were slaughtered, and so on. The entire villages were destroyed in the regions of Papuk and Slunj. The most widespread form of terror against the Serbian population were the forced expulsions, which represents the strongest link between the years 1941 and 1991.

These activities begun in Western Slavonija right after the HDZ victory in the elections. A psychosis of fear was created in order to prompt people to move out. Various methods were being employed, like orchestrated mocking of the Serbian children in schools, arresting people and taking them to the police stations, turning off the phones, mass dismissing of Serbs from their jobs, dynamiting of their homes.

On October 29, 1991, the Crisis Office in Slavonska Pozega issued an order on eviction of the Serbian population from 24 villages: Oblakovac, Orjaca, Slatina and so on, and within the next 48 hours. The order was made public through the radio and press. Those who refused to comply were taken to concentration camps.

The first major exodus of Serbs from the regions of Podravska Slatina and Daruvar took place. From July 1991 to August 1992, 193 villages populated by the Serbs were ethnically cleansed. Reliable documents regarding all of this have been submitted to the European Community.

Bosnia-Herzegovina Muslim Leader Starts Implementing his "Islamic Declaration"

The war operations have been carried over to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ideological foundations were laid way back in 1970, with the publishing of the "Islamic Declaration" by Alija Izetbegovic, and later, in 1984, the book by the same author was published under the title "Islam, between the East and West", while the "Islamic Declaration" was republished in 1990. It is well known that it states that "there can be no peace and coexistence between the Islamic and non-Islamic faith". This is repeated in both of the books mentioned many times.

During the session of Bosnia and Herzegovina parliament on December 21, 1991, Izetbegovic said: "I am prepared to sacrifice peace for the sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina". Based on the principles of the "Islamic Declaration", the mobilization of the masses took place and the civil war started, generously financed by the moneys sent from Saudi Arabia, Iran and the other Muslim states. The arrival of the large number of mujahedins followed.

At the 6th Summit of the Islamic Conference which took place between December 9-12 in 1991, therefore, prior to the war breaking out and before Bosnia and Herzegovina was recognized, the full support was declared to the "brothers in faith" and to their "struggle for the integrity of the first Islamic state in Europe". Even today Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have a majority of the Muslim population. Alija Izetbegovic was officially honored in addition to receiving the overwhelming financial aid. Bosnia and Herzegovina was one of the main subjects at another meeting too, an extraordinary Ministerial meeting of the Islamic Conference held in Djeda, on December 1 and 2 in 1992. This time around, they also extended their attention to two regions in Serbia itself, to Kosovo and the Raska region, or Sandzak, as they call it.

The first "holy warriors", mujahedins, arrived from Afghanistan, Lebanon, Morocco and Pakistan. They were armed with the weapons CIA provided for the Afghani rebels. A group of 400 Hezbollah members also arrived to Sarajevo, in the role of military instructors. Following the Second World War tradition of the joint participation in the military units within the Nazi Germany forces against the democratic coalition Yugoslavia belonged at the time, the two leaders of the paramilitary formations, Tudjman and Izetbegovic, signed an agreement in Zagreb stating, among others, that the armed forces of the Croat Defense Council would be part of the unified armed forces of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The expulsions of the Serbian population from the regions controlled by the Muslim troops followed. Tens of thousands were expelled from the town of Mostar, 2,500 from Gorazde and so forth. Just like in Croatia, to Bosnia and Herzegovina were also sent allegedly retired American army officers, as instructors for the Croat-Muslim army.

A Simple Strategy by the Foreign Colonizer: Use the Local Thugs and Terrorists Prior to the Final Frontal Assault, NATO Aggression

Combat operations had their line of development and were moving from the north towards south, to be finally transferred to the territory of Serbia, that is to Kosovo. The very pattern along which the destruction and the war against Yugoslavia was planned, Kosovo being the last phase, is quite simple. It was based on the paramilitary secessionist formations, the criminal groups and terrorists, and in Kosovo also a narco-mafia, all the while blaming the legitimate armed forces — at the time of Slovenia and Croatia secessions JNA, and later, at the time of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the Yugoslav Army [VJ, Vojska Jugoslavije].

In the open aggression against the remainder of Yugoslavia, i.e. Serbia and Montenegro, tens of thousands of tons of bombs were dropped, with depleted uranium, tens of thousands of projectiles with depleted uranium were fired and with, up until now, unknown poisons. According to the findings of the world experts, in the 1999 NATO aggression against Yugoslavia, five to six times more poison was dropped than on Hiroshima.

Western involvement, first and foremost that of Germany and Vatican, was obvious from the very start of the war. Renowned American commentator Donald Horowitz provided solid evidence in his study "Ethnic and National Conflicts", that the national and ethnic conflicts turn into the cruelest form of war when one or both sides get the international support. And this is precisely what happened in former Yugoslavia.

The war in this territory was a synchronized action by the secessionist forces and the external forces which, during the preparations for the full-blown bloodshed, have been massively infiltrated into Yugoslavia. We are talking about the Ustasha extremists and Nazis, Islamic fundamentalists and Albanian terrorists, whose role was to be the detonators for the outbreak of the conflicts in the existing tensed climate.

And the external forces on their behalf have, in the initial stage, acted behind the scenes, supplying the secessionists with weapons and money, and infiltrating the mercenaries into the country. The final destruction of Yugoslavia was implemented through the institutional deceptions.

Europe and USA Openly Support Destruction of State of Yugoslavia

By signing the Helsinki Final Act, the European countries and the USA have obligated themselves to respect the territorial integrity of all the signatory states. Accordingly, they have an obligation to refrain from any act aimed against the territorial integrity, political independence and unity of any of the signatory states. This is the Article 4.

These principles were ceremoniously verified in Paris in 1990, with the signing of the Paris Declaration. Only a year later, the European Community openly stepped onto the political stage as the key force behind the destruction of Yugoslavia.

On July 7, 1990, the "Declaration on Peaceful Resolution of the Conflict Between the SFRY Federal Units" was signed. By initiating these documents I just mentioned, the European Community has obligated itself to respect the territorial integrity of Yugoslavia—from which, as the only legally protected subject, it was given a mandate to mediate, searching for the peaceful and lasting solution to the crisis between Yugoslavia's federal units.

In the history of the civilized world, the process of mediation would start from determining the causes of the conflict, and would run through offering several options for the possible solution, down to listing the concessions that could be taken into the account.

Lord Carrington Issues an Ultimatum in Place of Mediation

Instead of all that, at the extraordinary meeting of the International Conference on the Former Yugoslavia on October 18, 1991, Lord Carrington issued an ultimatum to do away with Yugoslavia as a state and the subject of the international law, without alternatives, and to redraw the territory of former Yugoslavia according to the Adolf Hitler's model from 1941. The Nazi values have won the day. The right to destroy the state, the right to separatism, was given priority over preserving the state and over the right to preserve the state which is the original UN member.

The paradox is in the fact that the right to separatist rebellion is being denied by those very same states in their own countries — the Englishmen to the Irish, the Spaniards to the Basks, the Frenchmen to the Corsicans and so forth. It is also interesting to remember that, at the time when the Serbian soldiers fought shoulder-to-shoulder with the Allied Forces during the Second World War, at that time the units of the so-called Independent State of Croatia, as well as some from Bosnia, though also within the NDH formations, have been fighting alongside the Nazi troops. The notorious Handzar Division was sent from Bosnia, alongside the Nazi punishing squads, to France, where they committed the unprecedented crimes. But, let's get back to the Carrington paper which dealt the first blow to the sovereignty of Yugoslavia.

At issue here is an evident deception committed through the Carrington document. Further negotiations have been transformed into a farce. What followed were the recognitions of the secessionist republics, under the strong pressures by Germany and Vatican, contrary to the basic principles of the international law, the United Nations practice, but also contrary to the practice of the leading power, the United States of America.

Time to Recap

Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic
"I only wish for my people not to find out I was right when it's too late", Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic

Fulfilled Prophecy: Late President Milosevic Said it All Eight Years Ago

As the negotiations on forming the new Serbian Government are proceeding between the parties comprising a patriotic bloc in Serbia (Kostunica's Democrats, Radicals and Socialists), and at the time Serbian Socialist Party (SPS) is being hailed as a "progressive, modern, moderate left-center party" by the very same centers, media, groups and politicians who have, until few days ago, talked about late President Milosevic's party as the worst, most retrograde, fascist, cannibalistic bunch of ingrates outdone in the evilness only by the army of Vlad III the Impaler, it seems appropriate to recall some of what SPS' most popular leader, three times elected president of Yugoslavia and Serbia, late Slobodan Milosevic, thought and said about some of those fiercely competing for the coalition with his party nowadays.

Glas Javnosti has republished excerpts of the speech Slobodan Milosevic gave in October 2000, on the eve of the CIA-funded coup that overturned his government and established Yellow bloc at the helm of a state, a quisling coalition which has handed Serbia and the entire Serbian political and military leadership over to the NATO powers and rule.

Below is the translation of late Serbian President's integral speech, given in Belgrade, on October 2, 2000.

Using All Means to Establish Western Dominance in the Balkans

"Ahead of the second round of elections, I want to use this opportunity to let you know of my personal views about the present electoral and political situation in our country, especially in Serbia.

"As you already know, the efforts to place the whole Balkan peninsula under the control of certain Western powers have been ongoing for the entire decade. A large part of that job was accomplished through the establishment of the puppet regimes in a number of countries, turning them into states with limited sovereignty, or stripped of all sovereignty in entirety. Due to our resistance to such fate for our country, we have been exposed to all the pressures imaginable in the contemporary world.

"The number and the intensity of those pressures has been growing in time. The experience great powers have accumulated during the past century in overturning the governments, provoking unrests, instigating the civil wars, compromising and liquidating the fighters for the national freedom, bringing the states and nations to the verge of poverty — all that has been applied onto our country and our nation.

"Democratic Opposition of Serbia", a NATO Representative in Belgrade

"The events organized for our elections are also a part of that very same orchestrated assault against our state and people, because our country and our people are the barrier to establishing the complete dominance over the Balkan peninsula.

"A group under the name of an opposition political coalition of parties of a democratic orientation which has been known to our public for a while is representing the interests of the governments which are leading the assault against Yugoslavia, and especially Serbia. This group has appeared in these elections as a Democratic Opposition of Serbia [DOS].

"Its real chief is not their candidate for the president of the state. Its chief for many years is the president of the Democratic Party [Zoran Djindjic, succeeded by Boris Tadic] and an associate of a military alliance which conducted a war against our country. He couldn't even hide his cooperation with this alliance. After all, our entire public is fully aware of his appeal to NATO to bomb Serbia for as many weeks as necessary, in order to break its resistance. At the helm of this group put together for these elections, therefore, is a representative of the army and the governments which have recently been engaged in the war against Yugoslavia.

"While representing those interests, this group has been sending messages to our public: that with them at the helm, Yugoslavia will be out of any danger of war and violence, that the economic prosperity shall arrive, a visible and quick realization of the higher standard of living, the so-called return of Yugoslavia into the international institutions, and so on.

DOS Heralds Fast Dismemberment and Vast Impoverishment

"It is my duty to issue a public and timely warning that these promises are a lie. By establishing the kind of governance [DOS] supports, i.e. which is being installed by the alliance of nations gathered around NATO, Yugoslavia would inevitably become a state territory of which would be quickly dismembered. These are not only NATO alliance's intentions, these are also the pre-electoral promises of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia.

"We have heard from their representatives that Sandzak [Raska region in Serbia] will get an autonomy, which a member of their coalition Sulejman Ugljanin, leader of the secessionist Islamic organization, has been promoting for the past ten years and which effectively separates Sandzak from Serbia for good. Their promises also include granting autonomy to Vojvodina [northern region of Serbia] — a kind of autonomy which not only separates Vojvodina from Serbia, but practically makes it an integral part of the neighboring Hungary. In a similar way, the other regions would be separated from Serbia, especially the regions near its borders. The adjoining of these regions to the neighboring states has long been a heated subject within those states, which are constantly prodding their minority members in Yugoslavia to contribute to accession of those parts of our country to the neighboring states.

"In the context of that policy aimed at destruction of Yugoslavia, Kosovo would be the very first victim. Its current status would be declared legal and definitive. This is the first chunk of Serbia with which our country should part, without even hoping that this part of its territory would at some point be returned.

"The rest of Serbia which would remain under that name would be occupied by the international, American or some other military forces, which would treat this land as their military base and their property, dealing with it according to the interests of the powers which have deployed their armies here.

"We have been watching for the past several decades, and especially in this decade, an outcome of that type of appropriation and the consequences of such appropriations in the number of countries throughout the world and, unfortunately, in Europe too during the past years; for example in Kosovo province, in Republic of Srpska, in Macedonia, in our immediate neighborhood.

Serbian Nation to Share the Destiny of the Kurds

"Serbian nation would find itself sharing the destiny of Kurds, with the prospects of being exterminated faster, because there is fewer Serbs that the Kurds, and because their movement would be limited to a smaller territory than the one Kurds have been populating for decades.

"As far as Montenegro is concerned [at the time, Montenegro was still in federation with Serbia], its destiny would be placed in the hands of mafia, the rules of which ought to be well known to the citizens. Every disobedience, and especially every action contrary to the mafia interests places one on a hit list which excludes the right to amnesty.

"I gave this overview of the Yugoslavia's destiny in case NATO's choice for our state is accepted, in order to warn that, in such case, apart from the loss of country and the humiliation of its citizens, everyone would live under constant violence.

Balkans to be the Zone of Permanent Conflicts and Wars

"The new owners of the state territory of former Yugoslavia, just like the occupiers of the remainder of the Serbian land, as these things go, would terrorize the population whose territory they occupied. Serbian nation itself would lead an unceasing struggle for reestablishment of the Serbian state, and for its reunion in this state. For they do not want peace and prosperity in the Balkans, they want for this to be a zone of continuous conflicts and wars, which would provide them with an alibi for the permanent presence.

"Therefore, the puppet regime guarantees violence, a possibility of a prolonged war — everything but the peace. Only our own government guarantees peace.

Staggering Poverty Awaits Behind the Empty Promises

"Furthermore, all the countries which have found themselves in the state of limited sovereignty, headed by the governments run by the foreign powers, have been impoverished with the lightening speed and in the way which excludes the hope for a more humane, just society. The great divide between the majority of poor and the minority of rich — this is the picture of the Eastern Europe for the past years, the one we can all observe.

We haven't been excluded from that picture, either. We would also, under the command and control of the owners of our country, quickly gain a staggering majority of the extremely poor, whose prospects for getting out of that poverty would be rather uncertain and remote. The minority of rich would consist of the black market elite, which would be allowed wealth only under the condition of remaining completely loyal to the command which is making decisions about the fate of their country.

"The publicly owned property would be quickly moved into the private hands, but the owners of that property, judging by the experience of our neighbors, would inevitably be foreigners. Minor exceptions would be represented by those who would buy the right to ownership with the loyalty and obedience of the kind which removes one from the sphere of the basic national and human dignity. The greatest national resources and wealth in those situations become a property of the foreigners, and those who have been running them by then, become the employees in the foreign firms in their own country.

Crime Capitals Moved from Western to Eastern Europe

"Alongside the national humiliation, destruction of the state and the overwhelming poverty, it is inevitable for the numerous forms of social pathology to develop, crime being the first of all. This is not a mere assumption, it is part of the experience of all the countries which have taken the road we are trying to avoid at all costs. The capitals of the European crime are for decades no longer in the West, as before, but in the Eastern Europe. Our nation takes today's crime rate very hard, because we have for a very long time, since the Second World War up until the 1990s, lived in a society where the crime was almost unknown. The rise of the crime rate which is unavoidable in the society we would become after the loss of national sovereignty and the loss of large part of territories, such crime rate for our small and unused to the crime nation would be as dangerous as the war.

Loss of National Identity — Unavoidable Consequence of the Contemporary Form of Colonization

"One of the main tasks of the puppet regimes in every country, including ours, if we were to have such a regime, is the loss of identity. The countries which are being governed from abroad are prone to quickly part with their history, their past, their traditions, with their national symbols, their habits, even with the purity of their own language. Invisible to the naked eye, but extremely efficient and unmerciful, the artificial selection of the national identity would reduce ours to few of the traditional national specialties, a song here and a dance there, the names of the national heroes given to the food products and cosmetics.

"One of the truly undeniable consequences of the occupation of the territory of a state by the great powers in the 20th century is wiping off the identity of the nation which populates that state. It can be observed through the experience of the other states that their nations are barely able to keep up with the speed with which the use of the foreign language replaces their mother's tongue, the process of identifying with foreign historical personages while forgetting one's own, of getting better versed in the literature of their occupier than their own, of glorifying foreign history while oftentimes mocking one's own, of looking more like others than themselves... ..The loss of a national identity is the greatest defeat of a nation, and this cannot be avoided in the contemporary form of colonization.

Right to Free Thought, Free Will and All Forms of Creative Work Abolished in Colonies

"Besides, this new form of colonization excludes, by its very nature, all the conditions necessary for evaluating opinions, expressing one's own will, and it especially excludes the possibility for creativity of any sort. The non-free countries abolish the right of their citizens to freely express their views, because those views would, first and foremost, confront the lack of freedom. This is why the torture over the free thought is the most consistent and the most important form of torture in the state which has lost its freedom.

"So there is no question that the expression of the free will most certainly cannot be allowed under those circumstances. The manifestation of the free will is allowed only in the form of farce, and it can be expressed only by the bosses' right hands. Such simulation of the free will serves as a cover-up for the occupier, to be able to claim he has established a democracy, in the name of which he invaded a territory of another's state.

"I especially wish to emphasize, for the benefit of the young people, the intellectuals, the scientists, that the countries which have been stripped of sovereignty are, as a rule of thumb, also stripped of the right to creativity, and especially creativity in the scientific field. The great centers of the great powers are financing the scientific work, they are controlling the achievements and deciding about the application of the results. The dependent states, in case they do have the scientific laboratories and the scientific institutes, don't own them as the independent subjects, but as the local departments of the center which controls everything, especially the achievements in the creative thought and work. Those achievements must be kept within the limits which will not allow the seed of revolt or emancipation to be introduced in the occupied country and the occupied nation.

DOS Used Foreign Funds to Bribe and Instigate Unrest and Violence

"At this moment, ahead of the second round of elections, due to the doubts of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia that it can achieve a kind of result it needs, DOS leaders are using the moneys brought into the country from abroad to bribe, blackmail and intimidate citizens, and to organize strikes, unrest and violence in order to put an end to production, to all work and all activities. Everything, of course, in order to put an end to a normal life in Serbia, with an explanation that the life can begin anew and be successful and good only once those who are advocating the occupiers' intentions, plans and interests start organizing it.

Serbia Has a Duty and the Right to Protect Itself

"Our country is a sovereign state, it has its laws, its Constitution, its institutions.

"Serbia has a duty, and it has the right to protect itself from the invasion which has been prepared through the various forms of subversion. And the citizens have a duty to know that, by taking part in the subversion which aims to establish a foreign dominance over their country, i.e. the occupation of their country, they are taking upon themselves a historical responsibility for the abolishment of the right of their state to exist, and a responsibility for losing control over their own lives.

"By handing their country over to someone else, to a foreign will, they are handing over to other's will their own lives and the lives of their children. As well as the lives of many other men.

"They are Not Attacking Serbia Because of Milosevic, They are Attacking Milosevic Because of Serbia"

"I have regarded it as my duty to warn the citizens of our country of the consequences of the activities financed and supported by the governments of NATO Alliance countries. The citizens can believe me, and they don't have to believe me. I only wish for them not to discover I was right when it's too late, when it will be very hard to correct the mistakes people have made in their naivety, superficiality or due to deception. In that case, those mistakes will be very hard to undo, and some may never be possible to correct.

"My motives for expressing my opinion in this manner are not of a personal nature in the least. I have been elected president of Serbia twice and once a president of Yugoslavia. After these ten years, one would expect that everyone is perfectly aware they are not attacking Serbia because of Milosevic — they are attacking Milosevic because of Serbia. My conscience is perfectly clean in that regard. However, my conscience could not possibly be at peace if I would fail to tell my people, after all these years at their helm, what do I think about their destiny if it would be enforced by someone else, even if simply by trying to persuade the Serbian people it, alone, chose that outside-enforced fate.

"That deception, that they are choosing on their own the very thing others are choosing for them, is the most dangerous type of deception and the main reason behind my decision to publicly address Yugoslav citizens."

Eurosong - Serbia Showing it's Traditional Hospitality

Serbia will host the largest musical event - Eurovision Song Contest, and in organizing this prestigious event will show the traditional hospitality of the Serbian people. Belgrade is expecting up to 10,000 tourists and 2,500 journalists to arrive.

The Hosts

Jovana Janković and Željko Joksimović will present the two Semi-Finals and the Final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. Jovana Janković, anchor of RTS' daily morning show, has extensive experience in hosting live television. Earlier this year, in connection with the upcoming contest, she hosted the Semi-Final allocation draw, which was broadcast live over the Eurovision Network and aired across Europe. A successful test case, as it now seems!

Željko Joksimović (35) is one of the most successful musicians in the Balkan region. In 2004, he represented Serbia & Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, Turkey, with Lane Moje, finishing second. In 2006, he composed the Eurovision Song Contest song Lejla for Bosnia & Herzegovina, performed by Hari Mata Hari. The song finished third. Joksimović also composed a song for the Serbian national final this year, to be performed by Jelena Tomasević.

The Belgrade 2008 Theme

Serbian Host Broadcaster RTS presented the theme art for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, based on the slogan Confluence Of Sound. Colorful paint splashes and the shape of a music key are the graphical basis of the design.

"The fact that the host city, Belgrade, is located on the confluence of two big European rivers, the Danube and the Sava, served as inspiration for the theme art of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest," said Sandra Šuša, Executive Producer of the event. Earlier, RTS presented the stage design for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, which is based on the same concept.

Belgrade will become the place where energies will meet, where ideas will be exchanged and where new values will be born. The confluence of colors and sounds served as the inspiration for the final solution. The 'marriage' of colors and energies represents the coming-together of all European nations to celebrate together the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. It also served as inspiration for our slogan: The Confluence Of Sound. It represents the coming together of not only nations, but also the music, joy and energy that they bring.

The theme art features as the basis of the concept, and will also play an important role in the production of the post cards, the short introduction videos before each song during the shows.

In May, the eyes of Europe will be focused on Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, when the city has the honor of hosting the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest. Often being referred to as the booming city on the Balkans, Belgrade is the new place to be.

Belgrade, known as Beograd by the locals, is the largest and capital city of Serbia. The city has almost 1,6 million citizens. Belgrade almost 117 meters above sea level and is located at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. It is the cultural and political heart of the country and throughout the year, several music- and cultural festivals take place across the city. Belgrade has an extensive public transport system based on buses (118 urban lines and more than 300 suburban lines), trams (12 lines), and trolley buses (8 lines).

Due to its central position in the Balkan region, Belgrade has been the scene of many battles. In the 16th century, the city was occupied by the Ottomans, in the 17th and 18th century by the Austrians. After the First World War, Belgrade became the capital of the newly established Kingdom of Yugoslava. During the Second World War, the country was invaded by German, Italian, Hungarian, and Bulgarian forces. In November 1945, Tito proclaimed the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia in Belgrade, later renamed to the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

From 1992 until 2003, Belgrade was the capital of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. NATO bombings during the Kosovo War in 1999 caused substantial damage to the city. From 2003 until 2006, Belgrade was the capital of the State Union of Serbia & Montenegro. After Montenegro voted for independence from the State Union, Serbia proclaimed its independence on the 7th of June, 2006. Nowadays, Belgrade is the capital of an independent Serbia.

Should you plan to come to Belgrade for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, or just to explore the city, it is good to know that the average temperature in May is around 23°C. Between April and October, maximum temperatures vary from 18 to 28°C average.

Belgrade's Rich Cultural Heritage

The historic areas and buildings of Belgrade are among the city's premier attractions. They include Skadarlija, the National Museum and adjacent National Theatre, Zemun, Nikola Pašić Square, Terazije, Students' Square, the Kalemegdan Fortress, Prince Michael Street, the Parliament, the Temple of Saint Sava, and the Old Palace. On top of this, there are many parks, monuments, museums, cafés, restaurants and shops on both sides of the river. The hilltop Avala Monument offers views over the city.

Ada Ciganlija is a former island on the Sava river, and Belgrade's biggest sports and recreational complex. Today it is connected with the shore, creating an artificial lake on the river, featuring 7 kilometers of beaches. It is the most popular destination for Belgraders during the city's hot summers. Apart from Ada, Belgrade has total of 16 islands on the rivers. Among them are the Great War Island and Small War Island, which are protected by the city's government as a nature preserve due to its fascinating and unshattered wildlife.

Belgrade's Vibrant Night Life

In the Balkan region, Belgrade is popular for its vibrant night life, as many clubs that are open until dawn can be found throughout the city. The most recognizable nightlife features of Belgrade are the barges (splavovi) spread along the banks of the Sava and Danube Rivers.

Many weekend visitors, particularly from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia, prefer Belgrade nightlife to that of their own capitals, due to a perceived friendly atmosphere, great clubs and bars, great drinks, the lack of language difficulties, and the lack of restrictive night life regulation.

A traditional Serbian nightlife experience, accompanied by traditional music known as Starogradska (roughly translated as Old Town Music), typical of northern Serbia's urban environments, is most prominent in Skadarlija, the city's old bohemian neighborhood where the poets and artists of Belgrade gathered in the nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Skadar Street (the centre of Skadarlija) and the surrounding neighborhood are lined with some of Belgrade's best and oldest traditional restaurants (called kafanas in Serbian), which date back to that period. At one end of the neighborhood stands Belgrade's oldest beer brewery, founded in the first half of the nineteenth century. One of the city's oldest kafanas is the Znak pitanja.

Some Other Facts About Belgrade

* Belgrade has an Agreement of Cooperation and Friendship with several former Eurovision Song Contest host cities, such as Athens, Kyiv, Madrid and Rome;

* Although Serbia does not have a coast, the river banks have several beaches to sunbath, relax and enjoy;

* In 2006, Financial Times' magazine Foreign Direct Investment awarded Belgrade the title of City of the Future of Southern Europe.

Sightseeing

With impressive views over the Danube and Sava rivers, Belgrade's Kalemegdan Fortress is home to several city museums, galleries, memorials, the planetarium, and zoo, as well as smart cafés, restaurants and paths filled with locals and tourists seeking tranquility in the city. The fortress's historic walls shape its exterior and interior, holding in elm trees and a well-kept park, which peacefully replace a long succession of rulers and their warriors.

Walking back into the city, along the pedestrian street Knez Mihailova, 19th century Belgrade architecture lines the city's most traveled shopping thoroughfare. In summer, the center of the street becomes an extended outdoor café. Restaurants and galleries are located on the side streets leading to and from Knez Mihailova, which ends up at Trg Republike (Republic Square). Now a popular meeting point surrounded by cafés and the grand buildings of the National Museum (under reconstruction currently, though with frequent exhibits in its atrium) and National Theater (home to the city's major opera, ballet, orchestra and theater performances), this square was the center of protest and revolution during the last decade.

Belgrade expands outward from there, east to the district of Dorcol and its fashionable cafés and restaurants on Strahinica Bana, as well as the artist's quarter of Skardarlija and its cobbled Skadarska street, where you can find classic kafanas (taverns) serving traditional Serbian dishes as musicians roam from table to table.

Extending south is Belgrade's business and government center, with the national parliament, city hall, former royal residence and the skyline-dominating Beogradjanka. The world's largest Orthodox church, St. Sava (open to the public during its continued construction), can be found just past that in a park along with the National Library.

In the Vracar district you can find Belgrade's stately urban residences, one of which now houses the Museum of Nikola Tesla, home to the influential scientist's legacy to electrical engineering. In Dedinje, a leafy suburb, there are many embassies, ambassador's residences and the city's most expensive mansions.

Across the Sava River lies the Usce park, a spacious green space that holds the city's tallest building and the Museum of Contemporary Art. The park is a popular place for runners and walkers, as well as the many people who visit the restaurants, clubs and cafés located on the boats that are moored on the riverbanks. The boats stretch all the way up the Danube, inside Great War Island, to the city of Zemun, the former Austro-Hungarian southern stronghold.

During the summer, the city's population escapes to Ada Ciganlija, an island in the Sava that is home to a several kilometer long café-lined beach around its lake, an extensive system of parks and athletic areas, as well as more clubs that work through the hot summer nights (for more info, check the Belgrade tourist agency).

Serbian Champions Do it Again

Jelena Jankovic Winner of Rome
Jelena Jankovic won Rome Masters Championship 2008

2007 Serbian Champion Does it Again, Beating Cornet in Final

Was it nerves or the accumulation of matches, the question will most probably remain unanswered. The result however is very clear. Alize Cornet was not at her best when the first ball was played on the Stadio Pietrangeli for the final of the women's singles between the French suprise and title holder Jelena Jankovic of Serbia.

Alizet was up 15-40 on the Serbs serve but unable to convert either of the 2 break points. Instead it was Jankovic who broke her opponent to go up 2-0. The Serb did not consolidate, dropped her serve and at the change of sides it was 2-1 in favor of the title holder. The 2007 champion did however lift her play whereas Cornet could not keep the ball in the court limits nor/either clear the net. And from the 2-1 the score jumped to 5-1 with nothing really to write home about. The Serb was serving to close the set, but Cornet showed some signs of willpower saving a set point and then seizing Jelena's serve. Unfortunately for Cornet she did not score a single point on her following service game to litteraly give Jakovic the first set.

Roman Repeat for Jelena

Jankovic was now on a roll and was only a set away from repeating in Rome. The last player to achieve such a feat was Amelie Mauresmo in 2004 and 2005. The Serb held serve to start it off and followed by a break. She however did not confirm and immediately lost her serve to Cornet. Could the French come back from a set down, as she did in the semis, again? For that she would need to hold on to her serve and commit less unforced errors. And that is exacly what she did not do. She was broken by the 4th in the world, who this time consolidated the break to go up 4-1.

At the change of sides Jankovic recieved medical treatment for her ongoing respiratory problems while Cornet, who asked for her coach on court, broke down in tears understanding that there was not much she could do to turn things around. She nevertheless held her serve, for the 1st time in the match ! Jankovic did the same and was now only 4 points from successfully defending her trophy. The luv game that followed was in favor of the Serb who repeats in Rome beating Cornet on a final score of 6-2 6-2 in 1h23 minutes.

Jankovic Post Match Interview

Jelena celebrates in Rome
Jankovic celebrates her victory with champaign

Jelena Jankovic after her win versus Alize Cornet in post match press conference:

Q. You look exhausted. Is it for the match or what you have done after the match?

JELENA JANKOVIC: For both. I had a tough match, and I also, you know, I was drinking champagne and I put it on my face, and, you know, a lot of it went in my mouth, too. But I'm just happy to win my title for the second time. It's a great feeling. I'm just enjoying it.

Q. You said it was a tough match. Didn't look tough from the stands, let's say.

JELENA JANKOVIC: To be honest, I was not playing good tennis. I was playing much better throughout the week. And today I had an opponent who which I didn't know how she plays and I didn't know what to expect from her. She's a young player with great potential, and I just didn't know what she's going how she's going to play. And, of course, she wasn't the favorite. I was the favorite and I had the pressure on me. I'm defending my title and I had to do it, so I'm glad I could, you know, cope with the pressure and win it for the second time.

Q. (From Italian) What did you tell Alize after the end of the match?

JELENA JANKOVIC: She was crying, and I know how it feels. I'm the same. It's just showing emotions, and nobody likes to lose. It's tough when you're in the final and you have an opportunity to win a big tournament and you don't. So many emotions go through you body and mind. I told her that she played great throughout the week and had a great week and beat so many great players and she has a great future in front of her. She just has to keep going. Her time will come.

Q. She was crying, but a few minutes later you were crying also. You had some champagne in your eyes?

JELENA JANKOVIC: No, I was crying because I couldn't see and it was burning my eyes. But I'm the same. You know, I wanted to cry from happiness. But I tried to stay strong and not to show it to people, because I'm also very, very emotional. It's so hard for me to control everything, and I'm learning as years are going to deal with it better. But just today was a great feeling, and I'm just so happy at the moment.

Q. How bad was the pain when you called the trainer?

JELENA JANKOVIC: I have still now like some, I don't know, with the ...

Q. The neck?

JELENA JANKOVIC: It's here. Some kind of tightness, and I had pain during the second set. I called for the trainer. She was doing some work and she was putting some cream so that I don't feel it. She did the best that she could for me to finish the match, and I'm happy for that.

Q. (From Italian) If you had woken up today with pain in your calf, what would you have done? JELENA JANKOVIC: I don't know. I would go on the court and try to win my title again. I don't know, with one leg and with two arms and with one brain.

Q. Did you at any point today think that you might have to retire?

JELENA JANKOVIC: No. I was never thinking I was going to retire. It's a final, and, you know, for this kind of occasion sometimes you have pain and you don't feel so good, but you have fans that came to watch you play. So many people are supporting you, at least you can try your best. If it's really, really so bad that you cannot walk and you cannot do anything, then you have to stop. But until that you have to try.

Q. You had in Rome your resurrection a few years ago, and then last year you won it. What it means this year? Are you going to Roland Garros thinking about yourself as a favorite since Henin is not there anymore, or not?

JELENA JANKOVIC: Yeah, she was the one that was my worst opponent last year on clay season. She was the only one I couldn't beat, and she was the one stopping me from winning many tournaments on clay, and some on hard as well. So now she's not playing anymore, so of course I have a bigger chance. I'm playing well at the moment and I'm working with my new coach and he's teaching me so many things. I already see the improvement, which is great. I think I have a big opportunity to do very well in the French Open.

Q. Few weeks ago your mother told me that Strasbourg was one of your favorite tournaments, but you're not going to play this year. What are you going to do next week?

JELENA JANKOVIC: Actually tomorrow I'm going home to Serbia. I'm going to Belgrade, and I'm going to see my father and my younger brother and my older brother. I'll just relax for a few days and then start to train. My physical condition coach is coming there, and, of course, my Spanish coach will be there with me. So I will do some preparation, and then a few days before the tournament in Paris I will go there and adapt. I'm going, you know, to do well there. We'll see.

Q. (From Italian) In tennis there are players who retire and players who lose and playing players like you who win the same tournament two years in a row. What are your objectives and your aim for the end of the year ranking?

JELENA JANKOVIC: My goal and dream is to become No. 1 in the world, and at the moment I think I'm on the right track. If I continue like this, I have a big chance. I like playing on clay courts. I had a great clay court season last year, and then playing here and winning this tournament twice gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the tournaments.

Q. (From Italian) Does your victory here mean even more knowing that Djokovic won last week?

JELENA JANKOVIC: Yeah, it's great for Serbian tennis. I won it last year and this year again, and he won in the men's. It's just Serbian revolution. It's really great for Serbian tennis, and I'm so happy that we're doing so well.

Q. (From Italian) There have been comments in a magazine that came out in April commenting about your victory last year and saying how everyone in Rome wanted you to win again. Lea Pericoli, the former Italian champion, as you know, commented that both you and Djokovic are an example because you're not spoiled and very serious, calm, and professional, and that's why she and all the Roman public wanted you to win and were happy that both of you won here again. What do you think about those comments? Does to make you happy?

JELENA JANKOVIC: Thank you very much for those comments. We are trying our best. I think the Serbian tennis players I think we're trying our best to represent first of all our country in the best possible light, and represent ourselves, too. Whenever we go on the court we try to be good role models and try to fight and try to win matches and also be very fair and professional. So I think it's great, and thank you for that.

Q. (From Italian) Cornet said she would have liked to have met you in the final because you're a fair and very good player.

JELENA JANKOVIC: Yeah, it's great to be a good tennis player and also be a good sportsman and play fair tennis. Because I think when you're on the court everybody wants to win, but as soon as we step off the court we're normal people and we have feelings and here we're human beings.

Canadian Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia Capture Masters Series Hamburg Crown

Zimonjic and Nestor win Hamburg
Nenad Zimonjic (L) and Daniel Nestor win men's doubles in Hamburg

Second-seeded Canadian Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia edged past top seeds and defending champions Bob and Mike Bryan at Masters Series Hamburg presented by EON Hanse Sunday, with a 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 (Match TB) victory. The final lasted one hour and 27 minutes.Nestor and Zimonjic avenged their final defeat at Internazionali BNL d’Italia. Last week, the Bryans won 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 (Match TB) at the ATP Masters Series event in Rome.

It was Nestor and Zimonjic’s first ATP title since winning in St. Petersburg in October 2007. "It was great to get them back," explained Nestor. "We won the first set with an early break. I thought we were the better team both weeks in the first set. But you can only expect the best in the world to come back strong in the second. That was unfortunate. But the tie-break was very high quality tennis, higher quality than most weeks. And it was great to serve on match point."

Nestor captured his third Hamburg title, while Zimonjic won his first title in six appearances at the Rothenbaum. Nestor won the 1996 (d. Forget-Hlasek) and 2003 (d. Bhupathi-Mirnyi) doubles crowns with former partner Mark Knowles. He also finished runner-up in 2001 (w/Stolle) and 2006(w/Knowles).

"I think We Have a Great Future," Said Zimonjic

After a quiet opening to the first set, Nestor and Zimonjic secured the first break of serve in the eighth game after 22 minutes. The duo survived one break point on the Zimonjic serve at 30-40 in the tenth game, but was able to clinch the opening set in 32 minutes. They won 18 of 28 points on serve and saved all four break points they faced. The Bryan twins failed to convert three break point opportunities in the second game of the second set, and a further two opportunities on the Nestor serve in the fourth game. Nestor came under extreme pressure in the 12th game with the Bryans creating three break point opportunities. The 30-year-old Americans converted their first of 10 break point opportunities to take the final to a Match Tie-break.

Nine points went against serve in a tense Match Tie-break. Nestor and Zimonjic improved to 17-10 on the season. They also finished runner-up at ATP Masters Series Indian Wells in March (l. to Erlich-Ram). Nestor has a 51-39 career record in ATP finals, while Zimonjic is 19-18 in title matches.

"I think we have a great future," said Zimonjic. "At the beginning of this season it was really frustrating because we had four, five matches where we really could have won. It’s very tough to play them [the Bryan brothers], but I’m sure it’s very tough for them as well to play us. I’m looking forward to meet them in the finals whenever it’s possible, they have been achieving this, waiting for whoever comes to the finals. Our job is to make it there. I’m looking forward now to Roland Garros. I think this is a great boost."

Math 101: More is More

Premier Kostunica

Prognosis Terminal

One way our body fights illness is fever. Described simply as a high temperature, fever is a symptom rather than a disease. Same goes for jaundice — a sign that can occur in many different diseases, and not a disease. Someone noted recently, commenting part of the Serbian political scene, that jaundice, a Yellow disease, is a dirty-hands' disease. Well, what's the real cause of it? It is the evil. Once accepted at hearth, it infects the soul, mind and body of a patient. Fever is spreading, as a wild forest fire, throughout the Yellow camp in Serbia, and among those in touch with them. Those infected, unfortunately, are not seeking help.

The election results on all levels are well known by now, with final results being published next week due to elections being repeated at few poling stations but in mathematical terms whatever the repeated election produces, it will bear no significance to the outcome.

Yet, on a daily basis, we are witnessing feverish and delusional statements issued by Boris Tadic (president of DemoNocratic Party and sadly, a current president of Serbia, although not for much longer we hope), and by the number of his subordinates, in unison with LPD Cedomir Jovanovic (better known as Coke Powder Cheda). They are openly threatening all of the Serbian citizens in the most grotesque, vulgar and illegal way, that they won, will form the new Government no matter what, and if not, that they will establish a parallel one and will not accept any other Government. Patient is obviously severely ill, probably terminally, it refuses to get any help and at the same time screams "I am healthy", in delirium, wanting to pull everything and everyone down to hell with him.

It's Elementary, My Dear Serbian Friends Everywhere

"The new Serbian Government will be formed by those who can secure 126 MP mandates", President of Democratic Party of Serbia and leader of DSS-NS coalition Vojislav Kostunica said.

"Regardless of the abundance of the empty words used by Tadic in an attempt to explain that 102 mandates represents majority in Serbian Parliament, it is undeniable that only 126 mandates are a legitimate Government and legitimate democratic majority", Kostunica told Tanjug.

He stated that "up until now, in democracy, 102 mandates were always less then 126 mandates", warning that "anyone trying to find justification to turn minority into majority is destroying the basic principles of democracy. Serbia is a democratic state and its new Government will be formed by majority of 126 Parliament representatives — there is no way around it," Serbian Premier stressed.

"If DSS-NS (Democratic Party of Serbia and New Serbia coalition) secures the majority of 126 MPs, we shall form the Government, and if DS (coalition around Tadic's party) secures the majority of 126 MPs, they will form the Government. Everything else is meaningless, empty talk", Kostunica said.

He reminded that for years, during the past elections, Serbian Radical Party kept winning most of the votes but, in accordance with the democratic principles, since it could not secure a majority of 126 MPs, it was not able to form the Government.

"As far as the election results are concerned, it is obvious that Tadic's coalition [consisting of 5 political parties] got 800,000 votes less than at recent presidential elections, which is an elementary mathematical fact, and whether they like it or not, it can't be hidden", concluded Kostunica.

New Serbia: Vucic the New Belgrade Mayor
Serbian Radical Party: Decision on Monday or Tuesday

Aleksandar Vucic

Vice president of New Serbia Dubravka Filipovski stated for Tanjug that, regarding the Belgrade City Authority, the wording of the coalition agreement has been agreed upon, and the new mayor will be Aleksanadar Vucic, the Serbian Radical Party official. Coalition agreement has been reached at the meeting of DSS-NS coalition, Radicals and the coalition gathered around the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS-PUPS-JS). The agreement will be signed on Monday. "There are only few technical details to be resolved by then, but it is obvious that everything points in that direction", representative of New Serbia said.

Commenting for Tanjug, Vucic said, "nothing is over until it happens" and that public will be informed promptly, on Monday or Tuesday.

In hope that for the first time in eight years Serbia might actually get the patriotic Government it desperately needs, we wish them a good weekend, while to many key players from the other group, as per doctors' recommendation: drink plenty of fluids, especially water, take acetaminophen, Aspirin, or Ibuprofen to lower your temperature and reduce fever and whatever else you do, prepare yourself for a very, very long vacation in a small place with poor ventilation.

On the Right Track

Belgrade Coalition
Representatives of the coalition between Radicals, Kostunica's Democrats and the Socialists have reached an agreement at the level of city of Belgrade

Kostunica: DSS-NS will Respect the Will of the People

Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, who is also at the helm of the Democratic Party of Serbia, stated that the DSS-NS coalition (Democratic Party of Serbia and New Serbia) will respect the will of the people expressed in parliamentary elections, which could only be represented by the Parliament majority of 126 seats. Anything else, he warned, would be altering the voters' will, usurping the rule of law and suspension of democracy.

"I presume that Boris Tadic knows that his coalition consisting of five parties with 102 mandates is not the majority in the Parliament of Serbia. According with to the basic principles of democracy and to Serbia's Constitution, only 126 MPs may represent the legitimate majority, as expressed by the will of the Serbian voters", Kostunica said.

Serbia's Premier also noted that "with the exception of Boris Tadic, no one has ever claimed that the vote given in the elections to his coalition is worth more than the vote given to other political parties. Such nonsense best describes and says it all about the person uttering it, while talking about democracy under the same breath", said Kostunica.

Dacic: No Simultaneous Dialogues with Other Political Options

"The general agreement regarding the principles and key points as the basis of the new coalition have been reached with Kostunica's Democratic coalition and the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), and it is not possible to talk at the same time with other political options", Dacic said today while visiting Moscow.

"We are talking with [Kostunica's] Democratic Party of Serbia, as we have already stated", said Dacic.

Asked whether he "excludes the negotiations" with Tadic's coalition about forming the Government, Dacic said: "We can't talk with other political parties in Serbia at the same time."

President of the Socialists confirmed for the press that "once the coalition agreement is signed, the coalition will be formed", adding that "the first step in that direction has been made".

"We have reached an agreement on key issues as a basis of the future Government of Serbia with Kostunica's DSS and we expect the talks to continue", Dacic said, clarifying that the preparations for the signing of a coalition agreement are continuing at the level of the work groups of political parties gathered around their coalition.

SRS, Aleksandar Vucic Expect Finalizing of the Agreement Soon

Serbian Radical Party (SRS) is pleased with the present agreements with Kostunica's DSS-NS and Dacic's SPS-PUPS-JS coalitions, concerning forming the Government at the level of Republic and the City of Belgrade, expecting to finalize the agreements soon, SRS Secretary General Aleksandar Vucic said. During the press conference he also warned the "part of regime headed by DS Tadic not to attempt to stay in power and keep their positions using the violent means."

"They can protest whatever they want, for as long as they want to", said Vucic, at the same time warning that only peaceful demonstrations will be tolerated. "Never and not for a second should they think of physically endangering someone, or demolishing the city property -- as they have been accustomed to [reference to the violent CIA-funded coup staged on October 5, 2000, when the same "democrats" gathered around Tadic's party burned and looted the Parliament building and the Belgrade downtown]. They will not be allowed to do that. We appeal to them not to attempt to create chaos in the state. No one is afraid of their threats, and we shall know how to protect the voters' will," Vucic stated.

Talks about forming the new Government of Serbia will be continued tomorrow at the highest level, or the day after, depending on Tomislav Nikolic's return from the Hague (a prearranged meeting with Vojislav Seselj) and Ivica Dacic's return from Moscow. Vucic confirmed that the talks at the level of city of Belgrade were continued and intensified today, will be continued tomorrow and, at that level, "we are very close to the final agreement."

Asked if the agreement on his appointment as the Mayor of the city of Belgrade has been reached, Vucic said he is pleased with talks held with future coalition partners thus far, that they have expressed their belief Vucic's appointment is the logical solution, "but we have not come to that particular issue yet".

According to Vucic, it is not possible to create a different coalition in Belgrade than the one already formed, adding that Liberal Democratic Party (LSD Cedomir Jovanovic) and the Socialist party do not want to get together. "This coalition [Radicals, Socialists and Kostunica's Democrats] will either be formed or there will be new elections," Vucic said. He said that he talked with the President of Serbian Radical Party Vojislav Seselj who is pleased with the election results, adding that his deputy, Tomislav Nikolic, and vice president of Radicals Dragan Todorovic will talk to Seselj today in Haque.

Brand New Math from the Yellow Camp: 102 Seats in the Parliament is More than 130

The spokesman for Kostunica's DSS Andreja Mladenovic announced intensification of talks between the coalition of DSS-NS (Democratic Party of Serbia and New Serbia), Serbian Radical Party and coalition of SPS-PUPS-JS (Socialist Party of Serbia, Party of United Pensioners of Serbia and United Serbia) in order to "sign the coalition agreement as soon as possible, which will enable forming of the new national Government".

"In the next couple of days we will have intense talks in order to sign the coalition agreement as soon as possible, leading to formation of the new national Government and of the local government in about 140 municipalities in Serbia", Mladenovic told Tanjug.

He added that coalition of DSS-NS (30 seats), Serbian Radical Party (78 seats) and coalition of SPS-PUPS-JS (20 seats), with the Bosniac List (2 seats) would have "a stable majority in the Parliament (130 MPs), which would allow the newly elected Government of Serbia to efficiently implement its programme goals and lead the country forward."

"It is ridiculous and irresponsible to claim that 130 MPs do not represent a majority and that they don't represent the will of Serbia's citizens. To say that 102 MPs (five parties gathered around Tadic, in "For the European Serbia" coalition) is the actual majority and that 130 MPs are, in turn, a minority, represents quite a novel marketing invention", concluded Mladenovic.

Yellow Dictator Tadic and LSD LDP Jovanovic Still in Trance

Radicals' official Nemanja Sarovic said that the Belgrade voters have clearly voted for the change and, therefore, "...LDP (Cedomir Jovanovic) can protest only against the will of the citizens of Belgrade, since they voted for the change. But they protest in vain. We have the legal and legitimate right to form the Government, since we have the majority", Sarovic stressed, adding that LDP's Cheda and DS Tadic obviously know nothing about democracy.

"Governance that does not respect the will of majority is called dictatorship. I am convinced we will constitute the Government in Belgrade in a short while. We shall ignore the rubbish coming from these two characters," Sarovic stressed.

"The work on solving the problems of Belgrade citizens has already begun. The new Government of Belgrade will not segregate its citizens according to the political party lines," he added.

New Coalition Agreed in Principle

New Government at Hand

Agreement in principle has been reached earlier today by the new coalition between the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), Premier Kostunica's Democratic coalition (DSS-NS) and the coalition gathered around Ivica Dacic's Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS-PUPS-JS). After the tripartite meeting which lasted more than two and half hours, held at DSS headquarters, representatives of Socialists and Radicals issued a statement, announcing that new coalition was agreed in principle regarding the formation of the new Government, RTS reports.

Coalition of Radicals with Kostunica's Democrats and the Socialists

SPS leader Ivica Dacic said to the press after the meeting that SRS and DSS-NS have accepted SPS' social justice principle and that the talks concerning the finalizing of the coalition agreement will be continued tomorrow. Forming of the Government and majority in the Parliament is expected to be completed upon signing of the coalition agreement, he said. When asked why is he traveling to Russia, leader of the SPS responded he is meeting with Sergei Miranov, the president of Just Russia Party.

Serbian Radical Party: No Obstacles Ahead

Vice President of SRS Gordana Pop-Lazic told media that all that remains is the technical part of the work regarding coalition agreement, since the five principles have been adopted by all three sides and the agreement has been reached. "There is a great chance that majority in the parliament will be formed", she said, and when asked what is the greatest obstacle, Pop-Lazic responded: "There are no obstacles". Appointments and positions were not discussed, she added. Asked whether it was possible that forming of the coalition after the elections could be prevented by President Boris Tadic and DS, as he has announced, Pop-Lazic responded, "surely not, and most certainly not by any democratic means".

Kostunica's Democrats: National Politics for Preservation of Serbia's State Interests

Coalition representatives from SRS, DSS-NS and SPS-PUPS-JS have achieved agreement concerning the principles of forming the National Government of Serbia at their first tripartite meeting, which will be a foundation for continuation of the talks in regards to confirming the coalition agreement in order to constitute the Parliament majority and establish the new Serbian Government. DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenovic told the media that the agreement on the new Government composition includes SRS, DSS-NS and SPS-PUPS-JS, Bosniac's list and politically non-aligned persons, representing national politics of preservation of Serbia's state interests.

The Five Principles of the New Coalition Government

National Government, as stated, has five crucial goals representing the foundation of the future program and work of the Government.

The first goal is based on Constitutional obligation of all the state institutions, the Government of Serbia before anyone else, to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country -- preservation of Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia. The Government of Serbia responsibility also includes preservation of Republic of Srpska, based on Dayton Accord of which Serbia is the guarantor.

The second goal of national Government is strong economical and regional growth of Serbia, including the major investments, such as construction of the Horgos-Pozega highway, South Stream gas pipeline as agreed with the Russian Federation, Corridor Ten, Corridor Seven, Electrical Power Plant Djerdap 3, as well as incresed investments in development of economy, especially the agriculture, Energy and Traffic Department, increasing the employment opportunities, and the general development of the state economy.

The third goal of national Government, as stated, is implementation and realization of social justice issues, which means changing the existing laws and legislating the new ones regarding pension and health care. Mentioned changes would guarantee the average pension payout not to be bellow 70 percent of average earnings, new method of harmonizing the pensions with the wages, and guarantee that the lowest pension must be higher than the employment insurance. Immediately after its constitution, the Government should increase the existing pensions for 10 percent and pay out all the outstanding payments to retirees. Part of the plan involves modification and amending of the Health Care Act, which would guarantee free health care for all citizens, as well as to modify and amend, or to create a new Labor Act, with an aim to improve the rights and status of the workers. As part of this third goal the education should be free and available to all.

The fourth goal of national Government is that Serbia, as a whole, with the province of Kosovo and Metohija as its integral part, continues on the path of the European integrations and harmonization of national legislations with those of the EU.

The fifth goal of national Government involves a decisive struggle against all forms of corruption and crime, and consistent implementation of all legal norms and principles of a statehood based on law, as stated in the report.

Light at the End of Tunnel

Let us hope and pray that this is yet another step in the right direction, for protecting and preserving Serbian state and Serbian people everywhere, from the legions of enemies both abroad and, sadly, at home. It is an issue of the bare survival for the Serbian nation, when rule of law and justice have been erased by the global fascist elite throughout the world, on all the continents. We wish our elected leaders gathered around this patriotic coalition will stand strong and united, never again allowing any outside power to meddle to the point of divisions, occupation and outright colonization of Serbia.

Kosovo Albanian Rippers

KLA-butchers.jpg

Western Officials Knew About Kidnapping of Kosovo Serbs for Organ Harvesting

English translation of the Russian articles mentioned here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3

"The so-called international community knew from the very start about the kidnapping of Kosovo Serbs and butchering them for their organs, as described in Carla Del Ponte's book, but by admitting those facts the West would undermine their plans for mutilating Serbia, shifting the power balance in the Balkans and weakening the Russian influence", Russia's Permanent Representative to NATO Dimitry Rogozin said, Tanjug reports.

"These are the common-knowledge issues, of which everyone involved in Kosovo-Metohija problem is aware and the very serious evidence that has entirely discredited Thaci", Rogozin said, adding that even though Thaci was one of the criminal KLA commanders, he still remained a desirable associate for the West.

"Everyone knew what the KLA really is — an extreme terrorist organization, financed by the narco-mafia", the Russian diplomat wrote for the high-circulation Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda, in the last article in the series titled "Kosovo Rippers", dedicated to Carla Del Ponte's charges against the KLA which kidnapped Serbs in order to carve them up for their organs, as published in the former Hague chief prosecutor's book "The Hunt".

Despite everything, Western officials chose to remain silent, avoiding any admissions which could undermine their plans for mutilating Serbia, shifting power balance in the Balkans in Western favor and weakening the Russian influence, Rogozin said.

"My partners, those with whom I communicate in Brussels, call this a 'realistic politics'," the Russian diplomat concluded bitterly.

Russian daily also cites the opinion of the Head of the Central Military-Medical Commission, General Valery Kulikov, who said that "technically, it is not difficult to extract the needed organ", and that the "transportation is not a problem either, since everything that is needed is the proper container."

A Stolen State Run by the Butchers

Following Carla Del Ponte's charges in three subsequent articles, Komsomolskaya Pravda reveals that, as the first recognitions of the unilateral independence declared by Pristina separatists had trickled forth, on her way out of the Hague, "Del Ponte slammed the doors so hard, that the stucco crumbled on all the European Union ceilings", announcing "to the whole world that the newly-carved up 'republic of Kosovo' is ruled by the butchers, who have made their wealth on the internal organs extracted from the kidnapped Serbs."

Citing some of the excerpts from the book regarding Del Ponte's findings about the Albanian organ harvesting from the young and healthy Kosovo-Metohija Serbs, Russian reporters point to the Hague's release of the war criminal Ramush Haradinaj, another reviled KLA/UCK commander, "who was, alongside Thaci, one of the main figures in the illegal organ trade network", as the worst slap in the face for the Serbs.

Albanian Terrorists Hold KFOR and UNMIK Members in their Pockets

Following the trail Del Ponte pointed to in her book, Russian journalists also talked to Serbian General Bozidar Delic, former Commander for Kosovo-Metohija South, who stated that there isn't a single Serb left alive who witnessed and could testify about the macabre organ extraction "business" Albanians practice.

According to General Delic, the international organizations were repeatedly informed about the existence of the concentration camps KLA run for non-Albanians, but "the terrorists have their men both in the KFOR [NATO forces in Kosovo-Metohija province] and the UNMIK [UN civil administration in Serbian province, headed by all-Western officials]." General Delic explained that "as soon as a commission would be sent to inspect these locations, KLA concentration camp operators would be tipped off to move the prisoners to another location."

General Delic said that in 1999, under the tremendous Washington and Brussels pressure, the Serbs have released more than 2,000 Albanian terrorists from the prisons, but that not a single Serb kidnapped by the KLA, who could testify about the Albanian monstrosities, has been released from the Albanian concentration camps in return.

According to General Bozidar Delic, on the territory of southern Kosovo-Metohija province [near the border with Albania], there were some 10 concentration camps where the kidnapped Serbs targeted for organ extraction were held. Among them, the largest ones were in Budak, Jablanica, Ponosevac, Zrce, Nasecko and Prizren.

Russian reporters have visited those villages and towns, nowadays dotted with gaudy new constructions and hundreds of the monuments to the "UCK heroes", where the local Albanian children are being taught that "Haradinaj is the best, and Serbia and Russia are the enemy".

The adults in those villages simply told Russian reporters that "there never were any Serbs whatsoever" in their towns and villages, and "there was no war".

"Thank Your God You're Old..."

Komsomolskaya Pravda reporters talked to a Serbian woman from Prizren, who was kidnapped on September 14, 1999, while she was buying groceries from the street shop.

"In those days, the Albanians have entered the town and they were killing people in the streets, in plain sight. In the few days before the KFOR came (after the Yugoslav Army withdrew from the province), 50 people were killed, some 30 children disappeared without the trace...", she said.

She was taken from the Prizren street and shoved in a car, which an Albanian dressed in KLA uniform drove to the city bank. After the arrival, "some man" who spoke Serbian well showed up, checked her pupils, took her blood for the test and asked for her health.

"Afterwards, acquaintances told me that the younger boys and girls were taken toward the Albanian border immediately, after which all of their traces were lost," the Prizren woman told Russian reporters, adding she was saved by the fact she was older than she appeared.

"Thank your god you are old. Get out of here at once!", the man in KLA uniform, who was sitting in the bank manager's office, told her.

Russian daily also quoted an Istok resident, who said that almost 50 young men were kidnapped from her village and disappeared for good.

"No one has ever seen them again, either dead or alive", she said.

Carla Del Ponte Confirmed in 2004 All 1,300 Serbs Listed as Missing were Killed

President of the Association of Kidnapped and Missing Kosovo Serbs Simo Spasic, told Russian daily that the Albanians were not killing everyone on the spot, and that Del Ponte was given a list of 1,300 kidnapped Kosovo Serbs in 2001. He added that the kidnapped Serbs were also seen in the columns led by the KLA, among the refugees that were pouring out of Kosovo-Metohija province during the NATO bombardment.

"This was a way to take Serbs away, to Albania, under the guise of refugees," Spasic said.

"We know that some 1,000 people were taken to Albania for the purpose of extracting their organs. And Carla Del Ponte is talking about 300 Serbs only. They called me from the Hague tribunal in 2004 to tell me that all the 1,300 Serbs from our list have been killed," Spasic said.

"At that time, when Del Ponte told us that all the Serbs from our list have been killed, she already knew that their organs were extracted prior to being murdered. We are preparing a lawsuit against her, for covering up the crimes", said Spasic.

Albanian Mafia's Genocide Rewarded by the West

Komsomolskaya Pravda describes the hard life of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs, the life in reserves and ghettos, "every one of which deserves the title of 'a humanitarian catastrophe'," explaining that the Western officials refer to these appalling ghettos "very discreetly, by calling them 'the enclaves', or the 'places of compact living'", places where "they don't like the humanitarian organizations' representatives to go".

The money pours into southern Serbian province of Kosovo from the EU, from Saudi Arabia, American humanitarian organizations, and also from the Albanians engaged in criminal activities in western Europe, since "it is difficult to legalize the dirty money there", the Russian daily writes.

This money is used to build the flashy manors and swimming pools, countless supermarkets, gas pumps, bars, garish hotels... The cars stolen in Europe are being stripped of their serial numbers and 'legalized' in the province.

"One doesn't need to become an Interpol agent to figure out why the stores which will never have any customers are being built. These are the giant laundromats, where the illegal moneys get laundered", the Russian reporters write, adding that the EU cannot explain "why was it necessary to gift a republic to the Albanian mafia, which has committed a genocide over an entire nation."

One step closer towards Serbia for Serbia

serbia-for-serbs.jpg

Pro-Serbian Block

It has been confirmed yesterday by Vice President of SRS Tomislav Nikolic and spokesman for DSS Andreja Mladenovic that the pro-Serbian block might be one step closer to forming the new Serbian government. Signing of “proposed agreement about the character and program goals of new national Government of Serbia" between SRS Nikolic and DSS Kostunica is the first good sign and hope for the better times for Serbia and Serbian people. In the next few days the new coalition between SRS, DSS-NS and SPS-PUPS-JS, should be officially announced.

DSS Vojislav Kostunica would keep the position of the Prime Minister, while the position of a Vice Premier would go to Ivica Dacic from SPS-PUPS-JS coalition. New President of Serbian Parliament, in this case, would be SRS Tomislav Nikolic. One of the most important appointments in Serbia, Mayor of Belgrade, would also go to Radicals and SRS Aleksandar Vucic.

Four Principles of New Coalition Government

"The four working principles of the coalition government have been agreed with Kostunica, and the same agreement will be offered to the Socialists", Nikolic said yesterday, without further explaining the stated principles, but stressing that cooperation with the EU will not be excluded, subject to amending the SAA with the sentence that Kosovo and Metohija province is an integral part of Serbia, as reported by Glas Javnosti.

He added that today's meeting in the Government building between SRS, DSS and SPS would confirm the acceptability of the four principals by the Socialist Party, too. "If they are acceptable, we will have SRS-DSS-SPS Government, and if not, Radicals will be in opposition. The new Government would be formed by those that have 126 MPs in the Parliament and Radicals with Kostunica's DSS and Socialists can achieve this, or the Socialist Party of Serbia will form a coalition with those who have destroyed their party", Nikolic said, adding that the four principles should be acceptable to the Socialists, since "those same principles also represented the core of their elections campaign". This same agreement, he stressed, would be reflected on the coalition in the town of Belgrade and in all the other local parliaments in Serbia.

The Most Wanted

Coalition formed around Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS-PUPS-JS) appears to be the key ingredient for either side, Radicals or (Tadic's) DS, to be able to form the new Government. Even though Tadic and others from DS, and alike, continue to repeat their mantra "we will form the new government" many times during the day, throughout Serbian media, it is not more than a strong sedative which may give them temporary relief and calm their nerves before facing the reality. It would be a true miracle, in political sense, if Socialists agree to join their ugly and poisonous nest of vipers.

The leader of the Socialists said that the platform of SPS-PUPS-JS coalition has to incorporate the principles of social justice, in addition to all the others state and national political principles. "Tomorrow we shall reveal certain elements of our politics regarding the pension law, labor, health care issues and education. This has to be, I believe, one of the most fundamental political principles of any future majority in the Parliament", Dacic stressed, as reported by Fokus.

Dacic said that the Socialists and Kostunica's DSS share similar positions about the state and national interests, adding that the distribution of the ministerial positions was not discussed. "Talks will continue. This is the first and main agreement concerning the common policies of the Government. After this, a decisive coalition agreement with clear deadlines for implementation of the above legislations should follow", Dacic said.

Western Illusions and Deceptions

Lies

More of the Same Propaganda

When one compares just finished parliamentary election results to those held in January 2007 and presidential elections held 03.Feb.2008, it becomes clear what really happened, rather then listening to the propaganda garbage targeting to further necrotize and narcotize Serbs everywhere and general public at large. Even though the western media outside of Serbia and most of the media in Serbia (owned by west and of pro-western orientation) foams in fever claiming that pro-EU demono-cratic option has won and that radicals have lost, that is a blatant lie, as usual.

What Really Happened

In the last year parliamentary elections (January 2007) SRS (Dr. Vojislav Seselj) got 28.59 percent of the votes (81 seats). This time around radicals won 29.36 percent and 78 seats (results not final). Last year they received 1,152,854 votes and this year 1,194,029. The voting body has actually increased but they lost three seats. If we compare these results with presidential elections (03.Feb.2008) where Mr. Nikolic won 2,177,872 votes, then it seems like there is a significant difference. But you cannot compare apples and oranges. Choosing between twenty-plus parties in parliamentary elections and between two persons (two largest parties in the country) in presidential elections is not the same. The latter can be used as orientation only between the two parties and in absolute number of voters won. Otherwise, we would have to conclude that radicals have lost one million voters in these elections, which is an obvious nonsense. Crucial for further analysis is to note that SRS participated in the last and this year parliamentary elections ALONE and not in coalition with other parties.

Coalition around Mr. Kostunica, DSS-NS got 16.7 percent or 672,057 votes in last parliamentary elections (47 seats) and 11.3 percent or 463,996 votes (30 seats) in these elections. The loss of 208,061 votes, in one year, is the greatest amongst all the parties and coalitions participating in these elections.

SPS (Ivica Dacic) received 5.9 percent or 235,913 votes in last parliamentary elections (16 seats) and 7.9 percent or 321,908 votes (20 seats) this time. But last time SPS participated alone, as a single party, and this time in coalition with the help of PUPS and JS they managed to gain 67,995 votes more. This coalition will probably be the key deciding factor in creation of new and stable government and majority in parliament, as well.

The Losers

DS (Boris Tadic) last year got 22.71 percent or 915,051 votes (64 seats) ALONE. This year DS was in pro-EU coalition (anti-Serbian) with G17 plus, SPO, LSV and SDP. They won 38.44 percent or 1,575,393 votes (102 seats) IN COALITION with four other parties. By itself, alone, DS got 65 seats, which is almost identical with what they had before. If, in the case of DS on its own (as we did in the case of SRS above) we compare these last parliamentary elections results with the presidential results (03.Feb.2008) where Tadic, in second round, won 2,294,605 votes, we can conclude that demono-crats lost significant amount of votes (more then 700,000). How can anyone, after the above, claim that this demono-cratic Antichrist’s block is the winning one, and by what facts and criteria this ridicules statement could be supported or defended?! But wait, they actually can since in their case their father is the Liar and with him they all stand in lies.

LDP (Cedomir Jovanovic) last year participated in coalition with GSS, SDU and LSV and received 6 percent or 241,757 votes (15 seats). This year they were alone and got 5.24 percent or 214,752 votes (13 seats) hardly passing the five percent census level. If you compare only the voters of LDP from last year (211,145) to this year (214,752) their voting body increased for 3,607 votes.

Road Ahead

Negotiations in principal between SRS and DSS-NS coalition were successful, so far, and tomorrow SRS will talk to SPS-PUPS-JS coalition with good chances of reaching an agreement. This means 78+30+20 seats=128 seats and majority in The Parliament. It looks as one of minority parties Bosniac coalition (2 seats) might decide to be part of this truly victorious group, too. If this happens total seats for pro Serbian block would be 128+2=130 seats in parliament. Let's take a deep breath and hope for the best.

Parliamentary Election Results

Serbian Parliament has 250 seats, or 250 MPs. Whoever has 126+ MPs in the Serbian Parliament can form a new Government. Radicals, Kostunica and Socialists together have 128 mandates and have begun talks about the new Government. Republic of Serbia Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) as of 12.May.2008, at 10:30 pm, with 99.58% percent of votes counted of registered 6,721,312 voters and 60.97 percent voted, published the following results (not final):

Tomislav Nikolic About Radical Government

Tomislav Nikolic, Belgrade rally
Truly radical—a politician who doesn't lie: Tomislav Nikolic at Serbian Radicals' Belgrade rally, May 6, 2008

Serbian Radical Party: The Facts

By Tomislav Nikolic, acting leader of the Serbian Radical Party and one of the most experienced Serbian parliamentarians, Washington Times

Sunday, Serbian voters will go to the polls to elect a new parliament. It is expected the Serbian Radical Party, which for some years has been Serbia's most popular and has held the greatest number of parliamentary seats, will form a new government, either alone or in coalition with other parties.

In such case, I am confident we finally will have a government that, unlike in the recent past, will have a unified position on the key challenges facing our country.

Rule of Law, European Integrations and Economic Liberalization while Preserving Serbian National and State Interests

Outside Serbia, this election often is portrayed as a choice between "pro-Western" parties determined to take Serbia "forward" toward "Europe" versus parties, led by the Radicals, looking "backward" toward "nationalism" and an exclusive pro-Moscow orientation.

This is not an accurate understanding of this election's importance. Rather, voters will choose either the direction advocated by the Radicals, in which rule of law, European integration and economic liberalization go hand-in-hand with Serbia's legitimate national interests, or they will choose an illusion of faster integration promised by other parties that would undermine Serbia's territorial integrity.

The latter choice would allow those same parties to continue business as usual, which has made their political leaders wealthy while most of our citizens struggle to pay for basic living necessities.

Tadic Offering Dangerous Illusions and Suicidal Jumps

Such parties, led by the Democratic Party of President Boris Tadic, rely on scare tactics and false promises to stay in power and hope Serbian voters won't be able to see the falsity of such tactics and promises.

In fact, the Serbian Radical Party is not at all opposed to Serbia's accession to the European Union. However, the EU's relationship with Serbia must be based on mutual respect and observance of binding international commitments, including all provisions of the United Nations Charter and the Helsinki Final Act.

Ultra-Nationalist? Based on What?

It should be kept in mind that Serbia is one of the most ethnically and religiously diverse country in Europe. Far from the "ultra-nationalist" label some seek to apply to our party, the Radicals have embraced Serbia's multi-ethnic composition. As we have demonstrated in our party and our participation in local government, significant minority representation will also characterize a Radical-led national government.

The Radicals' economic policy is based on the free market and Serbia's potential as the key economy of the Danubian and west Balkan region. Eight years after the end of the rule of Slobodan Milosevic, there has yet to be a push for the restoration of communist-expropriated property. Our party will insist on redress and other overdue free-market reforms that will create more favorable conditions for foreign direct investment.

At the same time, we will vigorously pursue our mutual interests with Russia, as symbolized by Serbia's participation in the South Stream pipeline project that will help assure Western Europe's energy supplies.

Both East and West is the Only Way Forward

Far from representing Serbia's supposed rejection of the West in favor of Russia, we will maintain a healthy diversification of our commercial relations, including those with Russia — as have Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, and other EU and NATO members.

In building relations with all partners, East and West, the Radicals insist that Kosovo not be regarded as an exception to accepted norms of international behavior. Despite their professed intentions, the actions of some Western countries on Kosovo have not produced greater stability or ethnic peace and tolerance — in fact, the exact opposite.

Kosovo-Metohija Not for Sale

The Radicals reject any recognition of Kosovo's illegal claim of separation from Serbia and the dispatch of an EU mission to Kosovo precisely because these actions violate the very standards the United States and Europe claim to uphold, values the Radical Party and virtually all Serbs share.

Instead of further aggravating the situation in Kosovo and creating conditions for violence on the ground — to which Serbia would be forced to respond to protect our citizens and our spiritual and cultural heritage, as any other country would — the Radicals invite the West to return to the path of negotiation, compromise and the rule of law. This is not some kind of retrograde "nationalism." It is simple common sense and common decency.

This is the basis on which a new Radical Party-led government will extend the hand of friendship to the United States and Europe. We will expect nothing less in return.

Solana's Pact Hidden from the Public

Solana Pact

Why is Solana-Tadic Pact Unavailable to the Public?

Tanjug reported that, according to the Brussels' Office for Enlargement of the EU Commission, the Temporary Agreement signed by Tadic's party members in Luxembourg will be published by the EU only "in the next few months", and that there is a possibility of "technical corrections" in the translation of the document in contrast to the version signed on April 28.

"Certain technical corrections in translation of the signed text may occur", the EU bureaucrats told Tanjug "without clarifying what this actually means", the Tanjug reporter said.

The responsibility for the translation of the Temporary Agreement into Serbian lies on the Serbian side, but this version is being double-checked by the legal and linguistic experts of the European Commission and returned for corrections. The final version of the document in English will be published by the EU "in the next few months", the EU officials said.

Temporary Agreement was the second document Tadic's DS members signed in addition to the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA). Temporary Agreement is shorter than the SAA and, according to the EU officials, "it serves to enable the implementation of the trade part of the Agreement prior to its ratification which, within the EU, could take up to two years".

The EU officials have also confirmed to Tanjug that, contrary to Tadic's claims, not a single line of the SAA and the Temporary Agreement signed by DS is active now, nor will it be implemented before the EU Council of Ministers reaches a decision that Serbia has fulfilled the condition of finalizing the cooperation with the Hague.

Government Does Not Adopt Documents of Unknown Contents

Reacting to Tadic's announcement that the ministers belonging to his coalition will request government adoption of the Solana-Tadic pact, alongside the adoption of the Russian energy deal, scheduled for Friday, May 9, Premier Kostunica said he will not take part in the deception, since the DSS-NS [Kostunica's coalition] ministers are entirely unaware of the full contents, including the possible amendments to the two documents Tadic's party signed with Solana in Luxembourg.

Prime Minister Kostunica said that the original contracts signed by Bozidar Djelic on April 28 in Luxembourg have not been submitted to the Government of Serbia and that the ministers cannot consider adopting the contracts they are not fully familiar with, and certainly not based on someone's word.

Kostunica said it is unclear why the signed contracts have not been made available to the ministers and the public and how was it possible for these contracts to be kept hidden from the government and public.

"A case like this is unprecedented in the course of Serbian Government activities, as well as in the work of any other European state. However, sooner or later the real reasons for hiding the originals of the signed contracts will become clear," Kostunica said.

Kostunica also said that the government had never adopted a document contents of which were unknown to a number of ministers.

“Not only does Solana Agreement represent a deceit and signing away on Kosovo independence, but Tadic-Djelic signature was also put on an accompanying document that we have yet to see,” the prime minister cautioned.

He said that none of the ministers from the Democratic Party of Serbia-New Serbia (DSS-NS) coalition had seen the Temporary Agreement which had accompanied the SAA Tadic and Djelic have signed.

“And now we hear that the [Tadic's] DS will try to present that agreement, which no one has yet seen, at the next cabinet meeting,” Kostunica said.

He said that Serbian citizens had to know that this was a case of “trying to pull off a grand hoax, and this is an agreement which goes directly against the state and Serbia’s national interests.”

“All this goes to show that, when one is dealing with deceit, one falls ever deeper into big mistakes,” surmised Kostunica.

Slippery Slope: Tadic's DS Plunging Headlong Into Disaster

DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenovic has also called on Tadic and Djelic to make the originals of the documents they signed public.

“The public has to know why are they hiding the Temporary Agreement and if there are any new amendments and annexes to the SAA,” Mladenovic said, adding that Tadic and Djelic were for some reason hiding both the Temporary Agreement and Solana’s SAA, which they signed in Luxembourg.

Mladenovic said that Tadic's party had claimed that it could not show that document to the public "because it was in a special electronic format."

“Then, how was that Temporary Agreement signed in the first place, if it is in a 'special electronic format', unknown to the public,” the DSS spokesman wondered.

“We call on Tadic and Djelic to say what are they trying to hide and where have they hidden the temporary agreement. Not only is it against the Constitution, but it’s downright bullying to request adoption of an illegal document that ministers and the public still haven’t seen,” Mladenovic said, adding that the DS “was plunging headlong into complete ruin and would bear full responsibility for this unconstitutional act.”

Tadic Gets Thaci's Vote

Tadici

Thaci would Also Vote for Tadici

...If he didn't think he lives in a separate state, that is.

On the very same day the three members of a single political party in Serbia, Tadic's DS, signed the treacherous pact with Javier Solana in Luxembourg, Kosovo Albanian terrorist and war criminal Ramush Haradinaj congratulated Tadic on signing Kosovo-Metohija away.

U92 B92 reported on May 1 that "Ramush Haradinaj yesterday welcomed the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between Serbia and the EU", urging ethnic Albanians from Presevo Valley (Serbian region near the administrative line with Kosovo-Metohija province) to take part in the Serbian elections and vote for Tadic.

Today, Tanjug reported that another ethnic Albanian war criminal—Hashim Thaci—stated that he also favors Tadic's anti-Serbian coalition in the parliamentary elections, which would secure the anti-Serbian majority in the Serbian National Assembly and enable the creation of an anti-Serbian government.

According to Tanjug, Thaci said that the "victory of the democratic forces in Serbia would have a positive influence on inter-state relations between Kosovo and Serbia", adding that those positive influences would "reinforce the values USA, EU and NATO contributed to the region".

Step No. 2: KosovA Signs the Agreement with EU

Tanjug has also reported a statement by the Vice President of the Serbian Radical Party Dragan Todorovic, that "at the meeting held yesterday between the representatives of the USA, EU and Albania, also attended by Hashim Thaci, it was decided to sign the agreement with Kosovo which would lead to the EU membership".

"This document is titled Confirmation of the Communication between EU and Kosovo Regarding the Kosovo Action Plan for Joining the EU", Todorovic said.

He explained it was decided that the model for Kosovo accession to the EU will be the same as the one used for Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary, "which means that there will be no signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement. Instead, Kosovo will automatically become a EU member."

Todorovic said the above mentioned document will be signed on May 9 or 10, adding that "we can now be completely certain that the signing of the SAA on behalf of Boris Tadic was the first step towards Serbia recognizing the independence of the fake state of Kosovo".

It will Be Up to Serbian Voters...

Similar, much more detailed information, was carried by the Belgrade daily Kurir, which also quoted the high UN official stationed in Pristina, who said that "in case some future coalition in the Serbian Parliament annuls Djelic's signature, Pristina would have a problem. The direction of the European integrations of Belgrade and Pristina was planned as a parallel process. If Serbia rejects the SAA, Kosovo would not have the opportunity to sign it either".

Brussels Confirms Tadic's DS Signed Kosovo Away

Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht told Tanjug today that, for "the official Brussels", the Stabilization and Association Agreement signed last week in Luxembourg does, indeed, apply to mutilated Serbia—without Kosovo and Metohija—as Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica says.

"It is my understanding that we have signed the agreement with Serbia alone, without Kosovo", Tadic's friend De Gucht said.

Belgium recognized the unilateral secession of Serbian Kosovo-Metohija province on February 24. Together with Holland, it was also against signing the SAA with Serbia until the last meeting of EU Council of Ministers, on April 29, when the two states suddenly decided to let Solana sign the pact with Tadic's political party members, in the midst of parliamentary elections.

De Gucht pointed that the purpose of signing the pact was "to send a positive signal to Serbian citizens regarding the EU intentions".

He also proudly stressed that his country and the neighboring Holland have succeeded in imposing further conditions upon Serbia, by having the signed agreement immediately suspended, until Belgrade hands over every Serb NATO tribunal in the Hague requests.

"The SAA will become implementable only after the EU Council of Ministers reaches a new decision, which would conclude that the full cooperation of Belgrade with the Hague tribunal was achieved", De Gucht said.

Kosovo Serbs to File Grand Treason Charges Against Tadic, Jeremic and Djelic

Serbian National Council from Kosovo and Metohija province announced they will file charges against Boris Tadic on the grounds of grand treason committed by signing the pact with EU.

President of the Serbian National Council Milan Ivanovic told the press conference that both this Kosovo-Metohija organization and the Association of the Serbian Towns and Municipalities, will file charges against the other two DS party members who took part in the Luxembourg treachery, alongside Tadic.

"We shall file criminal charges on behalf of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs against Boris Tadic, Vuk Jeremic and Bozidar Djelic for accepting the seizure and destruction of our country. We consider their act anti-constitutional and criminal", Ivanovic said.

He added that the three DS party members will also be charged for creating a false impression that the state was standing behind them on April 29, during the signing of the EU pact. President of the Serbian National Council told media representatives that the pact Tadic's party members have signed is going to make the survival and the return of Serbs to the Kosovo province much harder.

He called his compatriots to vote for the national and patriotic parties on May 11, for "those who are fighting for the preservation of Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia."

"If DS Comes to Power, We Shall Disappear"

Marko Jaksic, President of the Association of Serbian Towns and Municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija, called upon all the Serbian citizens not to give their votes to DS leader Boris Tadic, because he has committed a grand treason, betraying all of the generations who have been dying for the Kosovo covenant during the past six centuries.

"If they [Tadic's DS] come to power, we shall disappear. There will be a new exodus, because we shall lose hope", Jaksic said. He added that the behavior of the president of Serbia is much more harmful to the state and Kosovo-Metohija province than the behavior of LDP's degenerate Chedomir Jovanovic, who "at least openly says what he thinks about Kosovo fate".

Putin Supports Serbian Patriots

Vladimir Putin
President Putin, just like every true Serbian friend in the world, supports patriotic forces in Serbia, not traitors and sleaze balls.

...And it Isn't Even Kostunica's Birthday

Ahead of Serbia's presidential elections this year, when the incumbent, Boris Tadic, received a birthday card from other heads of state, including the one from Russian President Putin's cabinet, Yellows used this rather basic, non-committal expression of political courtesy in a sleaziest possible way, as a promotional material in their campaign, loudly advertising the Happy Birthday greeting card as Putin's official endorsement of Boris Tadic in the elections.

One has to wonder how will the notorious SleazeBall Camp explain the obvious and lightning fast evaporation of Putin's alleged support for Tadic, after he sent a strong message of open support to Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, only few days ahead of the parliamentary elections. And it isn't even Kostunica's birthday...

Statement by the Serbian Premier Vojislav Kostunica

President Putin stressed in his message that Russian position "regarding Kosovo remains unchanged. We believe that the unilateral declaration of independence of the Province has dealt a serious blow to the principles of the international law. We are ready to join the forces in confronting this dangerous tendency. You can firmly count on our solidarity and support.

"We are oriented toward the close cooperation with Serbia regarding the wide range of international issues, in the interest of peace and stability in the Balkans, building the Europe without divisions.

"Russian leadership is strongly determined to improve our relations also in the other directions, including improvements of the contractual-legal base, development of the cooperation in the industrial and transportation sphere, widening of the cultural, scientific-educational and youth exchange.

"I sincerely appreciate congratulations on the occasion of my election for the president of the All-Russian political party United Russia. I rely on the deepening of the cooperation with the Democratic Party of Serbia, led by You, which has already established partnership ties with the United Russia.

"I am convinced that such inter-party cooperation will contribute to further development of the Russian-Serbian cooperation, which we succeeded to bring to a new, quality level during the past years. The active and open political dialogue is now being strengthened through the strategic agreements in the key areas of the trade and economic partnership. First and foremost regarding the energy issues, where the serious venues are being opened for expanding the mutually beneficial ties. In this context, the prompt ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Republic of Serbia about the cooperation in the oil and gas industry, signed in Moscow on January 25, 2008, is of particular importance for us. We hope this Agreement will be ratified in the Serbian Parliament in the nearest time," Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded his message to the Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica.

Cheda Shiptar
Tadic's newest coalition partner, Cheda the Junkie (despite the fact Cedomir Jovanovic represents the KLA political wing in Belgrade, ethnically he's half Gypsy from Arandjelovac Roma suburbs, not Albanian)

Tadic Ready to Make a Deal With the Devil to Stay in Power

In this case, Tadic seems to have made a deal with the devil's envoy, an ugly little demon, LSD LDP's Cheda the Junkie—a pathetic degenerate who represents the only political party in Serbia which openly advocates recognition of Kosovo independence and, in general, total annihilation and dissolution of Serbian state.

Cheda the Junkie, suspected of massive involvement with criminal gangs of all colors, a moral leper whose life philosophy is derived from the back allies of street swindlers and purse snatchers, is at the same time the most generously sponsored Serbian "politician" by the foreign powers, even though he hardly manages to scrape a single vote outside his private circle of degenerates and thugs at every elections.

But constantly flushed with massive foreign funds and stubborn support from abroad, Cheda the Junkie does what he's paid for, regardless of how few people give him their votes in Serbia, and that is to diligently work on destroying Serbia from within, by advancing and propagating the unthinkable ideas equal to the grand treason, for which, in any half-normal state, he would've been hanged in a public square long time ago.

While Tadic didn't think much about forming a pre-election coalition with Nenad Canak, a malignant heavyweight separatist, who has been openly advocating secession of Serbian northern region of Vojvodina for years, he shied away from openly accepting Cheda the Junkie in his pre-elections' coalition also, knowing fully well that would cost him too many votes, and would deal a final death-blow to his empty slogans about keeping Kosovo-Metohija within Serbia.

We now learn Tadic will for sure adopt Cheda's scum after the elections, because he figures he desperately needs every single seat in the Parliament and if Cheda's degenerates and street thugs pry a handful of seats, he won't hesitate to jump in the same sack with them.

DS Welcomes the Degenerate as a Valuable Political Partner

First, it was Tadic's party Deputy President Dusan Petrovic, who told U92... uh, B92 TV on April 25 that "the President of the Liberal-Democratic Party Cedomir Jovanovic is a welcome political partner", since he supports the "continuation of the European integrations".

"I am convinced that the List for European Serbia [Canak-Tadic-Dinkic coalition] will be the core around which a new government will be formed", Petrovic, the highest DS official after Tadic, said few weeks ago.

Cheda Announces Post-Electoral Coalition with Tadic: DS and LDP Work for the Same Goals

Yesterday, Cheda the Junkie said his party will enter the coalition with Tadic's DS "after the parliamentary elections on May 11 [...] and finish the job others avoided for years."

He said that his and Tadic's party will "reject Kostunica's principles", as if they haven't done so already.

"We wanted to make a deal with DS [prior to elections] because we know that is our obligation. We know that the DS voters wish for the same things as the LDP voters. We could not do this during the campaign, but we shall do it after May 11 and finish the job others were avoiding for years," traitor said in Kragujevac, during his campaign tour.

He said that one of Tadic's and his main tasks, once they form a new government, will be to arrest Radovan Karadzic and General Ratko Mladic, and that he and Tadic "don't need the Hague tribunal prosecutor to tell them they must punish all of our criminals". He also said that Serbia "must change its policy towards Kosovo".

He added that "those who can't finish that job, need to move aside, and allow someone who can and wants" to take over the power. KLA's Cheda also told his listeners that "he believes in Europe as an expression of common wishes and common vision [whatever that means]. If we did not have a right to such life, then let our children live in Serbia from which we shall go to Kosovo the same way people today go from France to Germany." Yes, that is exactly what he said, without getting arrested.

Now, even though this coalition between Canak-Tadic-Dinkic and Cheda the Junkie will not be publicly announced until after the elections, Glas Javnosti has discovered that it is already operational: Cheda and Tadic rolled up their sleeves and worked jointly on collecting signatures to enable as many national minorities as possible to enter the parliamentary race, counting on gathering all of their parliament seats to line up behind Tadic and his third, hidden coalition partner Cheda, after the elections.

For Tadic and Cheda Even the Minorities are Not Enough

Article by Jelena Velinovic, Glas Javnosti

"[Tadic's] DS and [Cheda's] LDP would benefit from minorities getting as many MP mandates as possible, so they have agreed to help them collect the signatures," said political expert Goran Budzak.

"The DS leader [Boris Tadic] is most interested in the large number of minority parties, because he seriously counts on their support", said analyst Aleksandar Pavic.

Even though a condition of 10,000 signatures minimum was set for the minorities who wish to enter the race for Parliament seats on May 11, the entire 10 minority lists have managed to cross this ramp. The unusual interest for parliamentary elections was shown by Hungarians, Bosniaks, Gorani, Vlah minority, Montenegrins, Albanians, Bunjevo minority and no less than three Roma parties. The only logical response to a question where did so many minorities manage to gather so many signatures, the analysts say, is a generous support of certain political parties, for the sake of staying in power.

It is not a secret that a pro-EU block, led by Boris Tadic's DS, most seriously counts on the support of the minorities. But their plan might not work as well as expected because, even if the "List for European Serbia" [Canak-Tadic-Dinkic] which, according to the analysts, could get up to 80 MP seats, with [Cheda] Jovanovic's LDP getting up to 20 mandates, are backed by all of the minority lists, they would still lack some 10 mandates to form the government. This would bring Socialist Party [SPS] into the game, which the EUrocrats want to avoid. In any case, Glas interviewees stress "someone was very eager to get at least ten minority lists to enter the electoral race".

The MP Seat Worth 15,000 Votes

In order to enter the Parliament, national minority parties which do not have to cross the 5% census [as the other parties who enter the race in Serbia have to get at least 5 percent of the votes cast in order to get seats in Parliament], would need to win at least 0.4% of the votes, according to the calculations. Being that the MP mandate in the upcoming elections will be worth between 15,000-16,000 votes, the minority lists, scattered like this, could count on some 10 Parliament representatives and, therefore, on however slight possibility to become a tip on the electoral scales which could decide the future government.

The Longest List of Parties Since 1990

The elections scheduled for May 11 will feature the longest list of parties since the multi-party system was introduced in Serbia in 1990: 22 political parties, coalitions and citizen groups will be in the race. In the Parliamentary elections held previously, in 2007, 20 electoral lists were submitted, while 19 took part four years earlier.

CeSID's Djordje Vukovic said that the weight of each mandate will depend on the number of people who cast their votes.

"If the turnout is around 65%, the minority parties would need to win between 15,000-16,000 of votes in order to get their representative in the Parliament. It is expected that between 150,000-200,000 of the minority members will take part in the elections, so all of the minority lists together could count on some 10 mandates. It is incredible that as many as 10 minority lists will take part in the elections on May 11, since the condition was to gather 10,000 signatures each. So, it is easy to conclude that they did not achieve this without someone's help, and even by circumventing the law here and there," Vukovic said, adding that the dispersion will be most costly precisely for the minorities, which would have gotten more mandates on a common list.

DS and LDP were Collecting Signatures for Minorities

Political expert Goran Budzak said the fact that minorities managed to collect 10,000 signatures each is a coup on its own, since they claimed that even the 3,000 signatures that were needed before, were a problem.

"It is clear that DOS is being created anew [DOS, "Democratic Opposition of Serbia" was a foreign-funded coalition of 18 diverse political parties which was used by CIA for a state coup in Serbia on October 5, 2000]. DS and LDP are keen to have minorities get as many mandates as possible, so they agreed to help them collect the signatures. It was impossible for minorities to gather signatures of their ethnic group members scattered throughout Serbia in such a short timespan, so the members of DS and LDP rushed to help them. In this way, after the elections, DS-LDP coalition will have some, at least theoretical chance, to try to win over the SPS [Socialists]. They will offer them ministries, some boards, the things that could attract some Socialists," said Budzak.

Political analyst Aleksandar Pavic also finds it unrealistic for as many as ten national minority parties to cross over the legal ramp. Still, "this works most to the advantage of the List for European Serbia."

"Hungarians have already stated they are for the EU and are willing to cooperate with Tadic, and this is the way other minority parties are more and more starting to act. It is absolutely clear that such a high number of minority parties suits Tadic most, because he counts on their support with the utmost seriousness. It is also clear that the minority lists have not gathered 10,000 signatures each on their own," Pavic concluded.

Merciful Angel 2

Enemies of the State
Enemies of the State: Belgrade woke up on Saturday plastered with posters showing Tadic and Djelic during the shameful signing of the Solana Pact in Luxembourg on April 29, and branded Enemies of the State

State Coup or Merciful Angel 2*

Statement issued on April 30 by the patriotic youth organization Serbian Portal

There are too many questions with no answers. Serbian Sabor Portal, as a national organization of free men who are humiliated by the constant insults to our intelligence and national dignity, will not cease posing these questions in our public life. We are entirely convinced that the infectious Yellow disease of jaundice which has spread through our media will not last much longer and that we shall soon step out of the Euro-Uniate quarantine.

Signature of the representatives of one political party on the most important state contract since the Second World War, placed in the name of the Serbian state outside of any legal frame and a political agreement, has all the characteristics of the state coup and belongs to the category of the most shameful signatures in the Serbian history. And the Brankovic's [legendary Serbian traitor, blamed for the loss of Battle of Kosovo and, ever since, a symbol of the worst imaginable treachery among the Serbs] and Judas' political psychology is certainly not the most important issue here. This signature and this political contract are disputable in the context of many other problems:

1. Problem of the Democratic and Legal Procedure

Has the case of a vice premier of a technical government (the government in resignation) signing the most important state contract at the time of elections been recorded anywhere in the recent history of the world? It is indicative that this signature, despite the announcements, was not placed by the president of the state, because that would have been an obvious state coup and a violation of the Serbia's Constitution. However, a signature of a French citizen [Bozidar Djelic has French citizenship] in the position of a vice premier of the Serbian Government is no less a state coup. On the contrary. Three representatives of a single political party in Serbia, circumventing the national referendum and the parliamentary approval, have taken upon themselves to decide about the destiny of the Serbian nation.

2. Problem of the Recognition of Kosovo Independence

Is this signature a part of the Action Plan of the Government of Republic of Serbia? Was it coordinated with the Kosovo and Metohija State Negotiating Team? We have already mentioned that the signature has not passed the parliamentary and referendum verification. What are the 70% of the polled saying about this contract, those who have, in all of the opinion polls, stated they are against Serbia joining the EU if the accession is conditioned by renouncing Kosovo and Metohija? Why are political moves like this being used to destroy the last remnants of the unified Kosovo and Metohija state policy and to destroy the last trace of a diplomatic struggle for the defense of Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia? If it doesn't matter to our state what the European Union thinks and does regarding Kosovo independence, why would any other state in the world have anything against independence? What kind of a message have we sent by flippant joining the main political power which, by sending its mission, directly works on enabling the recognition of the independent Kosovo?

3. Problem of the Uselessness of the Agreement

Only in the self-censored Serbian media, trained in the New Kumrovec [Kumrovec, according to Yugoslav communist history, is dictator Tito's place of birth in Austro-Hungarian Croatia], in the classes of the Euro-Uniate propaganda, is it possible not to notice that the signed contract was immediately suspended, until all of the Hague conditions—which, by the way, will never cease to be issued—are fulfilled. So, what have we actually signed and gained as a state? Nothing. This signature practically only signifies the verification of our consent to deliver every Serb in the world Hague happens to ask for.

Enemies of the State

4. Problem of the Pre-Electoral Marketing

Finally, we reach the sole purpose of the signed contract, which is a pre-electoral trick. The signing was arranged at the highest level of political manipulation, purpose of which is a bare-naked political advertisement of the side favored in the Serbian elections. The biggest problem here is that the protégées aren't even given a minimum of an actual help, which would better camouflage the real intentions of the Brussels' Central Committee [a reference to the communist dictatorship, highest body of which was called Central Committee]. Because, those who, a day after their own presidential candidate won the elections, have taken one-seventh of a territory of the state over which he was elected to preside, after that might as well sign a political fiction with him too.

5. Problem of Joining the European Union

In the ocean of more than problematic issues regarding this Agreement, one question has been entirely overlooked: whether joining the EU, regardless of the Kosovo and Metohija issue, is indeed the right choice for the Serbian state. Has there been a public debate about this subject in our society? Have the citizens of Serbia been asked in a referendum whether they are for joining the European Union? Which economic benefits and what form of colonial status is the trade part of this agreement bringing to our country? Are there some other trade agreements, foreign investments and markets someone is blocking in Serbia, closing the doors to a genuine perspective of the Serbian state?

There are too many questions with no answers. Serbian Sabor Portal, as a national organization of free men who are humiliated by the constant insults to our intelligence and national dignity, will not cease posing these questions in our public life. We are entirely convinced that the infectious Yellow disease of jaundice spread through our media will not last much longer and that we shall soon step out of the Euro-Uniate quarantine.

Turbulent Storm Serbia is In Requires Steady Navigation and Patience

Interview with Milos Petrovic, Doctoral Candidate of Political Philosophy at the Berkly University, Glas Javnosti

"Everyone who campaigns for Europe without Kosovo, or Kosovo without Europe is engaging in the plain demagogy. The dilemma 'Kosovo or Europe' is fake, Serbia has to demonstrate that it is precisely the European idea that is being defended in Kosovo. Only those who are not up to the challenge of leading the state are basing their reasoning on the principle "now or never", "all or nothing". Sacrificing one's own citizens merely buys time, turning us into all the while easier, perhaps even sweeter prey," Political Philosophy Doctoral Candidate at Berkly University Milos Petrovic told Belgrade daily Glas Javnosti.

Q: On May 11, Serbia will be faced with the choice to enter the EU without Kosovo or to struggle for Kosovo at the cost of postponing even the drawing nearer to the EU, for the foreseeable future. Is this the fatal choice and who needs it?

MP: There are very few fatal choices in life. Major mistakes are often result of failure to grasp the whole situation, to understand all the possible implications, and of reducing the reality to simplified schemes. October 5 [2000, CIA-funded coup in Serbia] is a good example of how such simplifications can not only lead to hasty actions but, as shown through the later developments, also to the type of actions which were unsuitable for the given historical moment.

The situation we are in today is still extremely complex. The elections will not and cannot resolve it, but they will play a significant role in it. Everyone who campaigns for Europe without Kosovo, or Kosovo without Europe is engaging in the plain demagogy which serves no one either here, or in the European Union.

"Europe" as a Cheap Empty Metaphor Used for Manipulation

Q: Serbia has not been this polarized since 2000. Is joining the EU the only way to a better life, and is the defense of Kosovo and Serbian borders possible only outside the EU?

MP: "Europe" is a word which has been filled with all sorts of contents in our political jargon during the past years. Like prosperity, youth, traveling, future... Although they are presented as the aspects of a certain way of life or as a world view, those contents are often quite random, general, unclear, at the level of the commercial spots. This is why they can be easily used for manipulative, anti-democratic purposes, where "Europe" becomes an empty metaphor for realization of one's basest economic and political interests.

Just like every metaphor, this one also contends for the place of the main truth, which can't and must not be subjected to the critical analysis. In this sense, the word "Europe" is one of the newest terms in Serbian language, one which has no connections to our European orientation, but is exclusively related to the internal politics.

I believe that it is this very imposition of "Europe", forced in such a way, that has contributed to the polarization of our society, where the defense of Kosovo is then equated with the patriarchal family, Orthodoxy, folk music... Such equation is not only overly narrow, but in my view it is also not in the interest of Kosovo defense. It is exactly through the defense of Kosovo where we need to demonstrate the utmost largess and, in that way, expose the fake dilemma "Kosovo or Europe", demonstrating that it is precisely the idea of Europe that is being defended in Kosovo.

Inept Politicians who Reason Like Petty Street Swindlers

Q: You have engaged in public polemics with the theories of [Tadic's] DS Political Adviser Dragoljub Micunovic, who claims we cannot jeopardize our "European perspective in the name of territories or fake heroism", that we can't gamble with our "transformation into an orderly legalistic state with stable institutions". Why do you think that defense of the state territory and the European perspective should not be juxtaposed like that?

MP: Just like one shouldn't rush when making important decisions in the everyday life, we have to be also cautious in politics when confronted with attempts to make us rush into some extreme, allegedly indispensable, solutions. Only those who are not up to the challenge base their reasoning on the principle "now or never", "all or nothing". Such reasoning is suitable for the petty street cons, but not for the state politics.

History teaches us nothing is forever, and that also goes for the interests of the European powers and United States, and their current attitude toward us. It is hypocritical to call that attitude a "perspective", when you are being expected to consent to the violence over your own country and its citizens. We are in an extremely difficult position, but that is exactly why we have to view it from the perspective of the next 25 or 50 years, with an aim to steer clear through the storm until the more opportune moment comes for us. Building a state based on the rule of law, with stable institutions is our obligation not because of "Europe", but because of ourselves.

Do we Place Any Value on the Struggle, Pain and Sacrifices of Our Ancestors who Gave their Lives for Freedom?

Q: You have also criticized Micunovic's stand that present-day generations have no right to risk the normal, safe and better life for themselves and their children, not even in the name of the ancestors or descendants. To what extent would giving up on Kosovo represent a betrayal of the ancestors and would it ease the fate of the descendants?

MP: It is only natural that all men are principally for the normal, safe and better life, but the question is what is behind such endorsement. If those words are not defined concretely, they become mere empty phrases and expendable goods, which can turn very costly for us. In which sense is that life [in the EU, advertised by Micunovic] normal, safe and better? For whom? At what price? At whose expense? All those questions have to be answered before we start juggling those terms in public. The question of the quality of human life is one of the most profound questions.

Secondly, life is a historical category. If our life can be normal, safe and better, whatever that means, it can be so within the realms of possibilities created by none other than our ancestors. Nice and good life doesn't come from nowhere, that is a fact. Do we have an obligation toward hundreds of thousands of our ancestors who gave their lives for freedom? Do we place any value on their struggle, their pain, their death? Some, perhaps, don't. But that crosses over into an issue of personal psychology.

Still, one thing is certain: giving up on Kosovo would not only fail to ease the fate of our compatriots there, such an act would also jeopardize their very physical existence. In that sense, every speech about "our" normal, safe and better life which does not include Kosovo children is pure hypocrisy and immorality. And those two can't be a foundation of anyone's bright future.

There's Always Time to Turn Around and Say: Enough!

Q: You are against the thesis that the entire history was built on injustice and that the powerful were always abusing the weaker. Hasn't the history of the post-October 5 Serbia confirmed that the big ones are indeed abusing the weaker? If the Serbs are guilty of everything, what is their guilt?

MP: It is simply not true that the entire history was built on injustice. Our victory in the First and the Second World War was the victory of justice over injustice. What would have remained of democracy, human rights, social structures, international relations, and even of our own ideals regarding the better life, if everything went according to the bully's plans? Even if the human history was always built on injustice, and it wasn't, this still wouldn't mean that the man could not turn around and say Enough!

What would be the point of our lives if we were to spend them with heads bowed down in obedience, without always trying to step over the boundaries of the existing freedom? It is more correct to say that the human history is at the same time the source of both injustice and justice, non-freedom and freedom, senselessness and sense. It is realistic to expect that is how it will remain in the foreseeable future. There are very few things in our lives which are either black or white, so we lead our lives precisely in those mid-tones, trying to find the optimal solutions in the given situations. The situation in which Serbian nation finds itself today confirms that the injustice, non-freedom and senselessness are quite forcefully marauding through history, but also that the man is not willing to accept that.

Belgrade's No. 2 Circle—The Unfathomable Heights of Selfishness, Arrogance and Crudeness

Q: You have assessed that the advantages of a better life are especially promoted in a Belgrade "No. 2 Circle" [a No. 2 Trolley route, circling around Belgrade's strict downtown], which plays a significant role in the life of Serbia during the last fifteen years. Wasn't Serbia too much under the control of the "No. 2 Circle" in Milosevic's time, under Zoran Djindjic and Vojislav Kostunica too?

MP: There are two issues here. First, during the past two decades in Serbia the divide between Belgrade and the so-called interior is becoming more and more obvious. It shows in the concentration of the political life, the height of investments, the extent of the international cooperation, and in the special status of the socio-political elite which seems to be saying: Serbia, that's me. That is the "No. 2 Circle" which has usurped the unnaturally large chunk of importance for itself.

But Serbia has been run by the "No. 2 Circle" during the past years in another sense too. This involves a certain attitude toward life and to others, an attitude dominated by debauchery and egocentricity, materialism, a degenerate amalgam of the primitivism and the alleged western values. This is especially visible among the young people, whose world view is extremely cynical, overindulgent, focused exclusively on the narrow personal interests. At one point, this was called suburbanism, but I think it has reached unfathomable heights in the "No. 2 Circle".

Divisions Promoted by the Self-Styled Elite Shameful and Humiliating for any Society

Q: You have written that part of the leadership and the "No. 2 Circle" exclude Kosovo-Metohija Serbs from "us", believing that they are holding "us" hostages. You have pointed that some speak about "us" as if "those down there" in Kosovo-Metohija can't hear them. What should "us" mean today, and especially what should it mean tomorrow, for Serbia to have a future? Isn't the Serbian "us" being destroyed purposely, both from within and from the outside?

MP: We must not give in to the same rhetoric Slovenians and Croats, and later [Montenegro's] Djukanovic, have been using against us, when they were justifying the secession by claiming that we are supposedly slowing down their economic development. Dividing citizens by the nationality, religious denomination, income or by the accent is humiliating for every society, and it is so for our society too. Everyone who thinks he can squeeze some benefits out of that is shortsighted.

If we do not raise voice in defense of every one of our citizens and every part of our country, thinking that by staying silent and through selfishness we are saving "ourselves and our children", a day will come when "us" too shall come under attack, and there will be no one to raise their voices in our defense.

Whoever believes that someone who is prepared to lie, steal, rape and kill others would not do the same to us at the right moment is rather naive. Sacrificing one's own citizens merely buys time, turning us into all the while easier, perhaps even sweeter prey.

Kosovska Mitrovica protest
Kosovo Serbs burn Tadic's photo with Condoleezza Rice at a protest rally. The words on the poster read "AGREED! I traded Kosovo for the EU". May 1, 2008, Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbia.

TRAITOR: Tadic, a Collaborator with the New Axis Powers

Minister of Education Zoran Loncar publicly called Boris Tadic to say who is his "special representative" who is denouncing the Serbian prime minister to foreigners.

In a statement delivered to Tanjug yesterday, Loncar said that “Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen claims that Tadic sent a special representative to him, who informed him that Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica was blocking the cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.”

“We call on Tadic to say in public who is that special representative of his that is denouncing the prime minister to foreigners, and to say what exactly that person told Verhagen,” said Loncar.

“We remind Boris Tadic that Verhagen recognized Kosovo independence and that it would have been normal for Tadic to send a protest note to Verhagen, instead of denouncing the prime minister,” Loncar said.

Verhagen said in Luxembourg late Tuesday that "Serbia admitted it was not fully cooperating with the Hague Tribunal", and that he possessed information that Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica was "blocking that cooperation".

On the same day, the EU decided that the pact Tadic signed with Solana will not be ratified or implemented before the Council of Ministers assessed that Belgrade had realized full cooperation with The Hague.

Verhagen told journalists that the extradition of General Ratko Mladic would be "the best proof of full cooperation."

"However, I do not need a report from [Hague's prosecutor] Serge Brammertz to determine that the Serbs are not cooperating completely," the Dutch foreign minister said.

"Last week, a special representative of President Tadic told me that Tadic wanted to cooperate with the Hague Tribunal, but that Prime Minister Kostunica was blocking that cooperation," Verhagen told media.

He added that he had received a personal letter from Tadic himself, in which Serbia's quisling president said that he was "aware of the fact that so far, Serbia had not achieved full cooperation with that court."
